I have sooooooooo been waiting for this book, and it did not disappoint!
Marcus is in New Orleans to catch a rogue vampire. Elizabeth is there to help an abused woman run away. When their paths cross, the attraction is instant and scorching hot, but both are carrying secrets, deadly secrets that could kill them both.
OH, Marcus is my new book boyfriend, and since mine is the first live review, I CLAIM HIM!
He is such a tortured soul, and still feels guilty for the deadth of his fiancee 200 years before. He feels he doesn't deserve to be happy. But elizabeth almost jump starts his heart again. And when she reveals what she is doing in NOLA, his reaction is just so beautiful. Elizabeth also fells she doesn't deserve to be happy, and feels she is damamged. But Marcus bring something out of her, that which has long been hidden.
Its not as steamy in the bedroom as Luke's book. What it is, is beautiful. Marcus is tender and sweet towards Liz, and it comes across in all the right places. Its more about the coming together of two tortured souls, and how they make each other feel, that the hot and sweaty that Luke and Katrina get up to. Its the passion between these two characters that comes across.
This is book three in the series, and I would STRONGLY recommend you read the other two first, it will give you a better understanding of what is going on. It will also give you a better feel for the other main characters, Desmond and Abby from book one, and Lucas and Katrina in book two. The main underlaying plot runs through all three books, and is not done yet. Something BIG is going down in the paranormal world, and its gonna need some telling to get it all out. Also, as I was reading I saw two more books, one played out in the sneak peak of the next book, and I'll let you know if the other one plays out in a future book.
As I said in my review for book two, these get better and better and this is better than book two. Darlene is finding her flow, and its showing.

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
If Desmond is the cold and calculating brother, and Luke is the hot-headed impetuous one, then Marcus is surely the brooding and guilt-ridden hero that we all love. In his defense, he does have reason. After all, his mother killed his fiancee on the night of their engagement party so don't be too hard on him. He is a very caring person through all that and once you are his friend, then you have a friend for life... or even longer if you too are immortal!
Liz is someone who works with her instincts and she has every reason to. She has survived something that you hope no one ever has to go through but too many seem to have first-hand knowledge. She is stronger than she gives herself credit for.
Their meeting is tumultuous and it doesn't stop. They both fight their feelings - Marcus because he doesn't feel that he deserves to be happy and Liz because she no longer trusts men. Some things are undeniable though and once Liz gets drawn into the reason that Marcus is down in New Orleans in the first place, nothing will stop him from protecting her.
This is an amazing and tender love story that was wonderful to read. I won't go into any spoilers because quite simply, you should read this book and enjoy it yourself. We still have the inter-linking between old characters as well as new ones (loving Brianna and Sebastian by the way) as well as Harper who is turning out to be a spitfire, just like Kat. When you read these books you will feel like you're catching up with family, in all ways that are good.
Loving this series and having withdrawal symptoms now for Harper's story - can't wait for that one! Highly recommended!

OMG...This book is fantastic!! It made me cry and not because it was a sad sappy book, no but because of Marcus and Elizabeth!
I'm not going to tell you the book plot because you can read the blurb. I just want anyone who reads this to know that this book will choke you up. Marcus carries around so much guilt and loves and protects those he cares about. Feeling his hurt and his happiness will just send you on an emotional roller coaster. So much to say about Marcus that I don't know what to say...**sigh** He is just amazing!!! Liz is one the strongest women you will meet and scared to live life due to the horrors in her past. Marcus sees something in Liz and he in turns makes her want to be happy. Liz's story will have you wanting to hug her and cheer her on in this next phase of her life.
Darlene has developed these characters and their storyline so well that you are drawn in and a part of their lives before you even know it. I have been waiting for Marcus' story because I fell in love with The Supernatural Desires Series with book 1. It was so good to see Des, Abby, Luke, Kat and Harper again. I loved the heartfelt ending and can't wait to for the next book!!

I absolutely love this author and this book is amazing continuation of the Supernatural Desires series. Marcus I felt for from the beginning he puts the weight of the world and especially of his family on his shoulders, he's sweet, gentle and always worrying. I loved the moment he met Liz. His feelings were hard for him to ignore and he felt changed in many ways when she was around. Liz had a hard as hell life, she has never had a real family or moments of happiness, she just exists and pushes people away that get too close. She feels damaged until she meets Marcus. He makes her feel. Feel sexy, feel loved feel needed and wanted. I loved their chemistry and their absolute passion for each other. These two were awesome together.
Of course I loved that Desmond is back and Abby of course and Luke and Kat. Love how we get to feel part of their family and of course Harper..I love these big protective guys, who are sexy as hell, will do anything for their families and love hard. Amazing story from start to finish, cant wait for Harper's story....Love love love the kids. Jake and Avery are so damn sweet.. Wow and Wow! Darlene Kuncytes continues her Supernatural Desire Series with the third book of this series, Marcus' Mortal Embrace and she has totally rocked my world - again! Kuncytes' is a gifted storyteller with an incredible imagination, and her talent and unique style have never shone more brightly than they do in this third release of her series. Each book of the series features a different couple finding love but there is also an underlying interconnected storyline with familiar recurring characters running throughout this romantic supernatural saga. Personally, I believe each book can be read as standalone; however, in order to enrich your reading experience, I highly recommend reading A Vampire's Saving Embrace and A Wolf's Savage Embrace first. I've loved every single book in this series and with each, I became frozen in my seat, lost in time with my eyes glued to my screen while devouring every word. I found this story to be exciting, compelling, powerful, thrilling, heartwarming, sensitive, sensual, romantic and arousing. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with sassy, well executed dialogue that flowed effortlessly. The characters are imaginative, captivating, fascinating, endearing and sexy as sin. Oh my! They literally explode from the page and capture your heart. These characters have become my friends and I look forward to reading much more about them in the future.

I not only like the premise for each book, but I very much love the world and characters created by Kuncytes for the entire series. It's imaginative, exceptionally well planned and crafted as well as exciting and satisfying. Second, I then ask myself, what didn't I like about this story? Actually, not a darn thing. There were a few little booboos that were missed during editing but nothing major and certainly nothing that tore my attention away from the story. Third, I always ask, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am! Fourth, will I read this author again? Absolutely, just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally and most importantly I ask, was I entertained? Oh lawd, yes! I found myself completely immersed in this story and the lives of the characters. I laughed with them, cried for them and cheered for them, totally absorbed in their fate and hoping they would find their happy ending - which of, course they do with the perfect combination of suspense and angst! I loved it! So yes, this book gets five delightfully entertaining stars from me!

This book holds a much more serious tone. There is less joking around and more seriousness and a bit more darkness. This book was equally as good as the others just in a different manner. I’m thankful that the abuse that is discussed in this book was very minimal and was touched upon very tactfully. It’s is heartbreaking to read about anyone suffering at the hands of an abuser, emotionally or physically. I appreciated that the author took Liz’s abuse history and used it to better Liz and help other people leave an abusive situation.
The emotions that were felt in this book were deep and strong. They were in your face and you never questioned them. The struggle Marcus dealt with felt real while reading the story. It was raw. This story was heavy from the beginning to nearly the end, but lightens up quite a bit by the end.
There were a few twists and turns in this book that were nearly jaw dropping and weren’t anything I ever guessed would have happened. Don’t you love those? This author does a great job keeping you guessing and surprising you at every turn.
I’d say go get yourself a copy of this book without a second guess.

Well you went and did it again Darlene. Only this time it got even better. There's nothing like the Lagrange brothers to bring paranormal romance alive.. The love these guys have for their mates is just the most awesome love in the world. It's a love it ladies like myself only dream of this was a wonderful story I absolutely loved how it ended I was very shocked by the ending it was definitely one of those who was all in on it and then when it came right down to finding out who was all in on it it was a big shock. And as always I'm not giving any spoilers away you want to read an awesome paranormal romance pick it up today because you won't want to miss this read. Darlene I can't thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to read the series it is just been a wonderful experience in my reading world and I am so glad that we came across each other because if we would have never met I wouldn't know that there was such a wonderful and mind blowing paranormal series out there such as yours. As always what a fantastic read, such a wonderful job of writing editing everything about this series has just been perfect for me, I couldn't think of a better way of being introduced to the paranormal romance genre, like I have with yours . Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wow all of these books so far just blew me away. I'm serious folks pick don't let these books slip by without reading them because you have got to meet Des, Lucas, Marcus, Abby, Harper, Red, and Liz, you will fall in love with the whole Lagrange family. Marcus and Elizabeth Rocked the house!!!
I have to admit, Elizabeth was hard for me to get attached to at first. I thought she was a big sissy that spent entirely too much time shaking in her shoes. Then I found out why she is the way she is and I had to admire all that she was doing. My favorite thing about this book was the way they got to know each other. Even though he is immortal and the whole 'mate' thing was going on, it wasn't forced. They fell in love because they were perfect for each other. One of my favorite things about Darlene's writing is that she can make a love scene sizzle right off the page and not forget the most important part....the love, passion, desire, and absolute feeling that the H&h are desperately in love!! I never feel like I am reading porn with Darlene's books, even though they make me hot enough to set the house on fire. That takes talent. Marcus is sexy, sweet, smart, determined without being pushy, sexy, perfect for Elizabeth, and did I mention sexy? There is a surprise that I didn't see coming. Des and Abby, Luke and Kate, and Harper are here too!! The ending was absolute, heart-swelling perfection. Darlene never fails to make me laugh, cry, sigh with contentment, wish for my own immortal mate, and call the fire department. I cannot wait for Harper's story!! I loved it!

This is book 3 this is the story of Marcus and Liz. This story came with a lot of emotions, love, betrayal, but my favorite of all falling in love. Marcus has to be one of my favorite characters he's strong handsome dark and brooding like most vampires we know. I'm just head over heels in love!
Liz is sweet yet strong and doing a wonderful thing as her job. Liz is one of those characters that you route for, she has had a horrible life and but does not let that get to her, she still fights for what she wants. Watching these 2 meet and fall in love was amazing! They overcame soo much to be together and it was just an incredible story!
I was so sad when Marcus and Liz's story came to an end but I'm over the moon that there will be a book 4 coming out. I can't wait to read more of this amazing dysfunctional, loving family!

Great addition to the Supernatural Desire series. Quite possibly my favorite of the series.
I don't think there could be a man more perfect for someone like Liz. Marcus is kind, compassionate, & HOT!!!! Not that Liz is looking, but she can't really help but notice. Liz has been through so much in her life & she has completely written men out of her future. But Marcus quickly shows her he is unlike any man she has ever known (maybe more so than she is prepared for). Will she be able to see past her own past to find everything she has always wanted?
Marcus carries the weight of the world on his back. He's definitely not looking for love. He had that & blames himself for losing it. But the things he feels for Liz, like nothing he's ever felt before. Will he take a chance on the mortal that has come into his life? Will he get the chance?

Marcus is the brother to Desmond and is guilt ridden with the memory of his fiance Josephine dying because of him. Now Marcus is in New Orleans to find out who is threatening his brother and best friends mates and their unborn children. He meets Liz who considers herself "damaged". She was almost killed by someone in her past and now helps others trying to get out of hurtful relationships. There is something about Liz that has Marcus turned inside out and wanting to protect her. Can Marcus save her from the "rogue vampires"? No spoilers but a most definite must read to find out what happens to them both and also a surprise for Marcus that has his very much confused. Would recommend to everyone as a must read. Can't wait to read more by the awesome Darlene Kuncytes.

This story was amazing, the characters and the location are described so well that you are able to envision the story in your head as if you were living it yourself. So well written, the love story was heartwarming and the sex scenes were intimate and sexy. It made me wish I could be Liz and find my Marcus. Each book in the series just gets better. I hope that there are future books that explore Brianna and Sebastian's story as well as Harper and Caleb's.

I absolutely loved reading the story of Liz and Marcus. Ups and downs and everything I in the middle, written with heat, humour and depth. Darlene writes with wit, emotion and passion and it shows through all the characters in the story. Just some incredibly talented story telling written incredibly well. Been looking forward to reading this for ages. Truly did not disappoint. From the sneak preview of the next, I'm waiting eagerly again =-) x

I love this book. This book takes you back into the supernatural series where Marcus and Liz are the stars of their story. Marcus is a tortured soul and Liz has gone threw terrible things. When they meet will they trust each other enough to share each others secrets and love each other for all eternity before time runs out? I can not tell you that. You can not miss out on this book by the amazing Darlene Kuncytes. I can not wait for the next book in this series by this talented Author.

This series is amazing. I love the way the characters from the first book stay in it all the way through but yet each book is focused on a new main character. You will fall in love with all of them. But mostly I'm so glad it's not over!!!!!

I am in love with this series. This book grips you from the very first page. So full of intrigue and suspense. And lots of steamy romance. The characters are flawless. This book is absolute perfection. This author just gets better and better with each book. This is a must read!!!

Freaking Amazing!
I am so happy to finally read the 3rd book in the series. Speaking with author Darlene who is absolutely fabulous, I mentioned one of the characters in her series shared my husband's name. I loved this story, the depth , and strength of her characters. Liz and Marcus had such deep personal demons. Bringing back Marcus' personal demon was unexpected. To see them trust love, fight for love, themselves and each other in such a great storytelling was everything. I can't wait to read the next book- Harper's story. I love vampire stories but the weaving of supernatural beings so seamlessly has won me over. I highly recommend this series and am going to get started on her other series. Really great reading and spectacular stories. Thank you for introducing me to your writing author Darlene Kuncytes!

I just love this series every book is amazing and this one is so freakung awesome. I just love Marcus he is so love his faimly and is still guilt ridden with the memory of his fiance Josephine dying because he thought it was his fault. What a wonderful story. I finished it so fast i ended up with a book hangover.. i wish i could have Harpers story.. this series is amazing and the author does a wonderful job of keeping the reader engrossed and not wanting the story to end.

Elizabeth and Marcus!!! Wow!!! These two are amazing. And I love New Orleans. Marcus there to catch a rogue vampire and Elizabeth to help an abused woman get away. Was drawn in from page one to the end. Loved it!
