Amber is an author of Beautifully Broken Romance. She resides in Ohio with her amazing family and dogs. When she's not creating fantasy worlds and sinfully delicious romance, you can find her with her family, gaming, playing board games, or of course, snuggled up with a cozy blanket and a good book. Some of her favorite genres include fantasy, paranormal, mythological, ect. but she's a total sucker for any kind of romance. Amber has multiple tattoos and piercings but she wants/needs more. She has an unhealthy addiction to coffee and yes...she does believe in magic and you can't convince her otherwise. (Her pet dragon wouldn't allow it anyway.)
Spindle of Nightmares by Amber Bunch is dark, haunting, and completely absorbing. From the very first page, the world wraps around you like a spell you can’t escape. The story weaves nightmares, mystery, and emotion together so seamlessly that it feels both unsettling and impossible to put down.
Amber Bunch’s writing is one of my favorites. I love the twisted princess collection because each story of vastly different from the other. I enjoy that each retelling has very different twists and elements than the original story and I absolutely love that spindle of nightmares is a FF romance. I also love that Amber left it open ended leaving it open if she wanted to do a second book of this story(which I would totally eat up!) Cannot wait for the remainder of this series!

Book Review: A Spindle of Nightmares by Amber Bunch 🕯️🩸🕰️ A Spindle of Nightmares reimagines the Sleeping Beauty tale through fractured memories and a kingdom frozen in time. Aurora awakens from a coma with no name, no past, and only haunting dreams of a distant land that feels both familiar and unreachable. As she struggles to piece together who she once was, another voice fights against a curse that has locked their world in stasis, refusing to surrender to despair or to the loss of the girl who is his heart. Memory, fate, and devotion intertwine in this darker, more emotional retelling. 🕯️🩸🕰️ I would give A Spindle of Nightmares four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I really enjoyed how the amnesia element connected to the larger curse and how that tension carried through the story. The emotional pull between the characters, especially the sense of longing and devotion, was what stood out most to me. The atmosphere felt heavy and dreamlike, with a quiet melancholy woven throughout that made the world feel immersive and slightly haunting. It’s exactly the kind of project I would adore working on and hope to work on something like this in the future.
Did you ever with Aurora ended up with the dragon instead of the prince? If so HERE YOU GO! This FF romance has all you ever would want in a fairy tale reimagining. Arranged marriage, murder, betrayal, lost memories, true love and so much more. We have spells within spells being cast to make Aurora forget all about her fae queen and her realm. She spends 8 years in New Orleans having no idea what she is missing except knowing that she is missing something. Malicia who reluctantly falls for the blonde beauty spends all 8 years fighting a time loop to find her one true love and break the spell. Once the spell is broken all hell breaks loose and we get multiple female baddies out for revenge. This book could have been multiple books and I would have devoured it! I would have loved a little more into Malicia's backstory and perhaps expanding on just about everything fae. I put this as a 4/5 stars for sure a must read for any princess rewrite fan.
