She is too dumb and very irritating; while, he is too rigid. However, you cannot deny that there are some romantic moments hidden in their relationship.
PS. In case you want to watch the drama, it is ok too. Only sequence or timeline is different.
a love so beautiful
This was a hilarious, laugh out loud, read! I watched the show when it aired and really enjoyed it, and thought I'd read the fan translation too. I was expecting something quiet and sweet, but the book is from Chen Xiao Xi's pov and her brain is a ridiculous place to be in. I loved that the translator for this book added extensive notes to explain all the idioms and inside jokes that a simple word for word translation would never have gotten across. Fan translators are amazing. The side stories are from Jiang Chen's POV, and I really, really, enjoyed them. A great read overall.

สิ่งที่ชอบก็คือมีการโยงไปยังเรื่อง “致我们暖暖的小时光” (Put Your Head On My Shoulder --- อุ่นไอในใจเธอ) เพราะเสี่ยวซีทำงานที่บริษัทของฟู่เพ่ย ที่มีแค่ฟู่เพ่ย เสี่ยวซี แล้วก็ซือถูมั่ว ก็จะมีแอบๆ เอ่ยถึงกู้เว่ยอี้แล้วก็กู้เว่ยมั่วด้วย พอเจอตัวละครคุ้นเคยโผล่มา ภาพนักแสดงก็จะตามมาอยู่ในหัวทันที ฮ่าๆๆ เหมือนได้เจอเพื่อนซี้อีกครั้ง
ป.ล. ตอนเล่มนี้ออกมาใหม่ๆ เขาเขียนชื่อนักเขียนไว้ว่า “จ้าวกานกาน” แต่พอเรื่อง “致我们暖暖的小时光” (Put Your Head On My Shoulder --- อุ่นไอในใจเธอ) ออกมา ก็ได้แจ้งว่าชื่อนักเขียนอ่านเป็น “จ้าวเฉียนเฉียน” นะคะ
My first book to finish in 2019. At first, I read this book because I was interested in its drama. I found it in VIU (the drama) and drawn by the character. After finish the drama I search a lot of information regarding A Love So Beautiful and found out that this drama actually made from a novel. So I try to search it and actually didn't find it. But a miracle happens, magically I can read its translated novel. This book uses the first point of view, we read it as Xiaoxi (the female lead).
What I love from this novel are of course the story itself more detail and the side story (of course!), surprisingly that the novel quite different from the drama. First, as for Jiang Chen (the male lead), in the drama, he is so cool, that if you touch his skin you can turn into ice cubes (kidding!) but in the novel, I found out his character is more likely 50% cool and 50% childish (lovely!). Second, there is a lot of character in the novel, I think the drama producer make it simpler by choosing only a few characters from the book.
What lack from this book is how it describes each character, how they would look like (their hair, their height, their appearance and etc.), as I love to imagine each scene, I really love to know the detail of it. Also, this book has so many Chinese phrases and proverbs that if the re-author didn't explain its meaning, we wouldn't understand.
This book is about the love story of a girl and a boy started in their middle school life. I first knew this from a Chinese drama. Their love started when the girl proposed her love to the boy, at that time the boy still did not have the feeling to the girl. For not long, as they get along with each other more, the boy finally accepted the love of the girl. Till the time they have to get on the the life in university, the boy left the girl for an intern in Beijing, being a doctor. At that time, the broke up as the girl could not withstand that the boy has the leave her alone. But for years, they met up again and realise their love never fades, so to both accept their love and decided to hold their hands and go on their life. This is an amazing story which entertains my life and I see that as a perfect love life that everyone long for.
I have finished watching the tv series version before reading this book, both versions were excellent and worth watching! This book is mainly about a group of high school students' school life and their friendship, which is relatable to us, as secondary students. Apart from the scenes that are similar to the tv series, this book has added a few brand new chapters at the end, which mainly talks about the characters' career life and problems they faced when they entered the society. All scenes of the book are really realistic as school and career lives are things that everyone will be facing, so I really enjoyed this book!
If you watched the Chinese drama, you MUST read the actual book it was based off of. It is a little different, focusing mainly on their adult lives, rather than their school years (which, as an adult, is much more entertaining for me). It also doesn’t have the other couple (can’t remember their names from the drama) but Wu Busan does make appearances! As well as a few other new characters. It has flashbacks here and there to their youth with parts that were almost word for word from the drama. I loved it.
