Beautiful Delusions Duet took me on a journey of love, fear, mental health, taboo relationships between therapist and patient, and it left me emotional thieving for more. Blue and Red's story picks right back up where we left off in Resisting Blue.
I didn't want to put down the book because I felt like I was going to miss something and I needed to know what was going to happen next.
This isn't a cute and clean love story, this is raw emotions, dirty life stepping in and questioning your love for a person, your motivation behind your love and meanings in a messy world we call life. Nothing is perfect or clean cut when it comes to Blue and Red loving each other. Boundaries are tested, lines get cross and hearts and lives are on the line.
Where are book one was build up for spice book two brings spice to the forefront and lives you clutching your pearls.
To author Maggie Cole what an amazing journey loved every moment of Blue and Red.

Could not put this down! Seriously, I read this book in one sitting, I needed to know what happens after the cliffhanger in book 1.
Okay, so this was a FANTASTIC conclusion! Chasing Red has more action than book one, and the spice gets spicier!! Although book one felt like a slower burn, book 2 allows the chemistry between the characters to settle into a solid foundation and explore more intimate aspects together. I'm also so impressed with how well this story weaves within the Maggie Cole universe, but remains mafia-adjacent. Truly, this duet does so well at balancing angst and emotions (I mean, he is a therapist) with a love story and spicy scenes.

How hard do two people have to work to do something as simple as love each other? Every chapter has a new hurdle trying to keep them apart, but they make it through and get the happiness they deserve.
