She's running from a royal wedding. He's running from everything. Neither expected to crash into love.

Sophie never chose her life. Not her duties, not her future, and definitely not her fiancé. But when she escapes to a charming Lake Huron island, she discovers something a ruggedly handsome sailor who needs money as badly as she needs freedom.

Tyler doesn't do commitment. Staying means dealing with a past he'd rather forget. But Sophie's offer—thirty days of marriage in exchange for enough cash to repair his wrecked sailboat—is impossible to refuse.

The rules are Pretend. Don't catch feelings. Walk away.

But nothing about Sophie is simple. Not the way she softens when he shows her his favorite places on the island. Not the way her hand fits perfectly in his. And definitely not the way she makes him want to be the man who stays instead of the one who always leaves.

When her secret identity threatens to destroy everything, they'll both have to Is this love worth the risk?

Find Me in the Wind is a sweet Christian romance about two wounded hearts, unexpected grace, and discovering that God's plans are always better than our fears.

“Sophie had offered him either a chance of a lifetime or a king-sized problem to avoid at all costs. Which one was it?”

This is a wonderful story about two broken hearts who are running away from what’s holding them back when they realize that they’ve crossed paths with the very person who makes it worthwhile to risk it all for love.

Have you ever felt caged? Like freedom seems impossible?

Sophie Martinez and Tyler Sullivan arrive on Jonathon Island, eager to regain their freedom. When Sophie suggests an equitable solution, Tyler is quick to accept, and the two find themselves in a fake dating, marriage of convenience situation.

I enjoy these tropes and loved seeing how unexpected grace released their anxiety and allowed them to pivot towards peace. Sophie and Tyler learned the value of embracing God’s plan to navigate their challenges, thereby encouraging readers to do the same. I think what appealed to me the most was that they weren’t wallowing in their situation, but searching for a solution and making space for God’s direction.

If you enjoy a clean romance set in a small town with opposites attract, fake dating and a marriage of convenience, check out what Sophie’s proposal entails!

Find me in the Wind was a refreshing take on the marriage for convenience trope with a hint of fairytale theme with the female lead being a princess.

The story flowed easily and smoothly, with both characters’ fears and insecurities coming through in the way they tackled the fake marriage and growing feelings.

I appreciated that in this series, the characters face relational uphills and challenges, but they do not take weeks or months to resolve, it is being handled very soon and in a realistic way with the focus on proper communication and trust in God.

Since both characters loved sailing, I actually would have liked a scene or two with them out on the water together.

Readers who enjoy marriage for convenience stories will enjoy this modern day take.

If you're looking for a swoony Christian romance filled with heart, hope, and faith. It has a princess too!! 👸🏻

From the very first page, I was swept away by Sophie and Tyler's story. Sophie is desperate to escape the life that's been chosen for her, while Tyler is running from the hurts of his past. Their marriage-of-convenience arrangement starts as a practical solution, but watching their walls slowly come down and their feelings grow made me smile from beginning to end. This book has opposites attract, and a hidden royal identity into a heartfelt romance set against the beautiful backdrop of Jonathon Island.

What I loved most was how naturally faith was woven into the story. The reminders to trust God's timing and His plans—even when life doesn't make sense—added so much depth to the romance. The chemistry between Sophie and Tyler was sweet, the emotional growth felt authentic, and the lakeside setting made me want to visit Jonathon Island myself.

If you enjoy:
✨ Marriage of convenience
✨ Fake dating
✨ Princess/royal romance
✨ Small-town charm
✨ Clean romance
✨ Strong faith themes

...then this book belongs on your TBR!

*"Sometimes the greatest freedom is found when we trust God's plan instead of our own."* ❤️

Thank you to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sophie and Tyler's story was unique, which made this sweet romance even more interesting. Sophie wants to escape from her royal duties. Tyler wants to forget about his past and sail away. Both have their own personal reasons and issues. By divine providence they end up on Jonathan Island together.

An agreement between the two for a fake relationship places them together for such time as this. She needs freedom, and he needs money.

I love a fake romance/marriage trope because I always feel that you can't truly spend so much time with another person getting to know them day in and day out, and not have feelings. Call it pretend if you want, but somewhere along the way, feelings will come out.

This sweet story of second chances, unexpected chemistry, and the healing of hearts will tug on your heart. Add in the faith element enmeshed in the story, and it is a perfect read for inspirational romance lovers.

3.5 stars for Sophie and Tyler's story.
In a mash up of royalty romance and marriage of convenience, Sophie the princess and Tyler the wanderer found themselves and each other on Jonathon Island. Sophie's uncertainty of who she really is and desire to connect with her mother's history tugged at my heartstrings. Sophie's rule-following, loyal and tender heart perfectly balanced out Tyler's adventurous, fun-loving and helpful spirit. Tyler's interactions with his siblings and his cousin Ethan were heartfelt. I enjoyed how Sophie and Tyler's faith grew as their relationship blossomed. They both learned how to forgive, let go, and stand up for what is important.

Despite my love for both royalty romance and marriage of convenience tropes, I couldn't fully immerse myself in the story. I liked Sophie and Tyler but I didn't connect with them on a deep level to be able to really feel their thoughts, hurts, and hopes. I love Jonathon Island but this visit didn't quite feel like a homecoming (but perhaps this was intentional).

This was fine, but not a typical Jonathon Island novel. This was a royalty fake marriage, which just felt a little different.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Sophie and Tyler and their character arcs' growth throughout this story. A princess in a dreadful arranged marriage is finally allowed to visit her estranged (because of her rigid father, the king) grandparents on an island in Lake Huron--yes, America. Princess Sophie is required to being her bodyguard, who is also her best friend. Her grandparents are delightful and promise a trust fund when she marries.

At Sophie's grandparents' she meets one of the Sullivan clan, Tyler, who works when he wants, but he's just wrecked the sailboat he lives on so he's working odd jobs, one for her grandparents. He doesn't know Sophie is a princess.

When Sophie learns about his wrecked boat, she comes up with the outrageous idea to offer Tyler her grandparents' trust fund (to fix the boat) for a temporary marriage, which would also get her out of the awful marriage her father has already arranged. Well, what could go wrong? Especially when there are secrets on both sides.

It's a very creative story as Tyler decides to become the best fake husband in Michigan for thirty days while they both dodge local questions, and eventually from relatives overseas. Welcome to a delightful Jonathon Island story!

Find Me in the Wind is the sixth book in season 2 of the Jonathan Island series, and I loved this book from the start. If you love a great small-town Hallmark story, this is the book for you. What will you get in this story? Marriage of convenience, secret princess, and all the swoon-worthy moments.

Tyler Sullivan has spent a lot of time trying to stay away from Jonathan Island after his father accidentally burned down The Grand. After his ship sank, his sister, Dani, ropes him into helping with her latest town event. Tyler finds himself landbound for some time. When Tyler meets Sophie, and she proposes a fake marriage for 30 days, in exchange for money, Tyler decides it would be a great offer to be able to fix his boat.

The town of Jonathan Island has my heart. Each story has been the perfect level of small-town romance. Who needs TV when you have a series like this? I loved getting to switch things up and have a hidden royal identity mixed with a marriage of convenience- the making of all the best Hallmark movies. Not so realistic, but sometimes that is exactly what I am looking for, and this book delivered.

This marriage of convenience romance was sweet with kisses only.

Patti Stockdale did a great job intertwining faith elements throughout the story.

Opposites attract
A normally compliant princess, Sophie, finally rebels and travels to Jonathon Island for a visit to her long-lost grandparents and to find a way out of an arranged marriage. Handyman Tyler doesn’t know what to make of the new “uptight” arrival, especially when she asks him to marry her!
Ms Stockdale accurately epitomises her characters with Sophie manifesting a formal style of dress, speech and approach to others in accordance with her conservative upbringing, while Tyler’s delightfully relaxed, warm nature reflects his desire to live without responsibilities and sail around the world. Sophie’s grandparents also personify the warm-heartedness associated with the elderly, accepting Sophie and Tyler’s actions unconditionally, despite a little disappointed not to be included.
Jonathon Island has become famous (to me) for Dani’s frequent and well-coordinated festivals which feature in each book in this series. I received an advanced review copy via Sunrise Publishing, and this is my honest opinion.

A story of opposites attract.

She had little freedom and wasn’t listened to. He worked only long enough that he could sail somewhere on his boat. Yet as they spent time together they began to see each other, and they had to work out if they could stay married despite their differences.

Find Me in the Wind is my absolute favorite book of the Jonathon Island series so far. The characters of Tyler and Sophie were the sweetest. I loved their personalities, chemistry, and journey as the story progressed. There was something about this couple that I couldn't ignore - they each held a measure of baggage to be conquered but also a hope for a future worth fighting for. Truthfully, this story simply made me smile. Patti Stockdale certainly created a book that not only captures your attention, but leaves you feeling genuinely in love with the story before you.

Maybe my favorite from this season of Jonathon Island so far. This is a royal romance with a secret identity, and also a marriage of convenience. I’m such a sucker for marriages of convenience and I truly enjoyed watching Sophie and Tyler fall in love. Complete opposites but they each made the other better. Discovering maybe everything they ever wanted and needed was right in front of them. There was just something about these two. Their story actually made me giddy. I loved the lessons they learned/taught each other. There’s a couple heart-stopping kisses too! I loved the support and advice they got from secondary characters. And I loved how present God was in the story. If you enjoy any of the tropes I’ve mentioned, be sure to add this one to your list!

Oh, and most unexpected and delightful “cameo” ever in the epilogue (if you’ve read Patti Stockdale’s His Unforgettable Bride). I unashamedly squealed.

What a sweet marriage of convenience plus some secrets that are doozies! I could not stop reading Find Me in the Wind by Patti Stockdale! Sophie Martinez comes to Jonathon Island to reunite with her long lost grandparents, and she looks for a create way to get out of an arranged marriage back home. Tyler Sullivan was in the right place at the right time. “Sophie had offered him either a chance of a lifetime or a king-sized problem to avoid at all costs. Which one was it?” Each of them are running away from their past, and things that are holding them back in their own searches for freedom. I loved how Sophia and Tyler saw the best in each other right off the bat, I enjoyed the random facts, the laughter, and the way they can be themselves with each other.

Readers will definitely enjoy this sweet page-turning story set on Jonathan Island.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

I'm not sure how this series keeps getting better but somehow it does. I enjoyed how this series didn't have as much to do with the festivals but instead focused on the relationships.

I didn't realize how many siblings Dani had but this time she calls on her older brother, Tyler, to help her out on the island. He is a bit of a free spirit but once he meets Sophie everything changes. Their relationship starts out differently than most but I loved their interactions. They both have their quirks but when they are together they have so much fun.

Sophie's grandparents were the best. Even though they hadn't seen her in such a long time and were cut off from her, they did what they could to love and support her.

I was given a copy of the book. The opinions are my own.

This sweet romance has it all - a princess in hiding, a marriage of convenience, and a whole lot of sparks between two broken people. I really can’t pinpoint why I loved this story as much as I did.

Sophie and Tyler are both broken in their own ways. Sophie needs way out of an arranged marriage. Tyler needs money to repair his beloved boat. They both need healing. Their story is a beautifully crafted love story about the importance of honesty, following God’s plan for your life, keeping promises, and sticking it out through hard times.

I will be looking forward to more books by Patti Stockdale and more Jonathon Island books.

Welcome back to Jonathon Island! Join Tyler and Sophia as their story unfolds. Lots of surprises, romance, inspiration, and family relationships. Find out if one of the main characters "was running from God or himself." Definitely worth the read. This book was provided by the publisher for me to read. A runaway princess, a rugged sailor, a marriage of convenience, and thirty days that were definitely not supposed to turn into forever…

Find Me in the Wind was such a sweet and charming addition to the series! The plot is definitely a little unconventional, but I really enjoyed watching Tyler and Sophie navigate their unexpected arrangement—and, of course, the feelings neither of them planned for.

Sophie is running from a life she never chose, while Tyler is running from a past he doesn’t want to face. I loved how these two wounded hearts slowly found comfort and safety in each other. Their relationship was sweet, full of swoony moments, and I especially enjoyed seeing Tyler’s softer side come out as he showed Sophie the places he loved.

The lakeside setting gave the story such a cozy, small-town feel, and I loved seeing familiar characters from the previous books make appearances throughout the story. It made the series feel connected while still allowing Sophie and Tyler’s story to stand on its own.

There were definitely a couple of moments where I found myself thinking, “Guys… just communicate!” A little honesty could have solved some of their problems much sooner. But overall, the characters were delightful, the romance was sweet, and I really enjoyed the themes of grace, trust, and learning to surrender our plans to God.

A charming Christian romance with a princess on the run, a marriage of convenience, lakeside adventures, and two people discovering that sometimes the plans we make for ourselves aren't nearly as beautiful as the ones God has in store.

This is book #6 in the Jonathan Island Season 2 series but can be read as a standalone book.

This is the first in the series that I have read and now I hope to read more in the series.

I have read all of Patti's other books and I love in love with this one too. The way she writes you can picture yourself in the story right alongside the characters. From the hidden identity to a marriage of convience arrangement there are a lot of entertaining scenes.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. The review expressed here is my honest opinion.

Though the plot was a bit unconventional, I enjoyed this next book in the series very much. Tyler and Sophie were so sweet together, and it was nice to see other characters from previous books make an appearance as well. I was a bit frustrated with a couple of the characters because it seemed like a little communication would have solved some issues, but most of the characters were delightful. I definitely recommend reading this book, and I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

This is the first Jonathan Island book I've read. Sophie is desperate to avoid an arranged marriage, to the point of temporarily marrying a stranger. Her newly found grandparents approve of Tyler, but she’s an uptight princess and he’s a laidback sailor who works when he needs money. Despite being opposites, attraction grows. Then her father shows up. I didn’t like him. The king kept his two children from their maternal grandparents after their mother’s death and betrothed Sophie when she was 12. Her grandparents are great, as are Tyler’s friends and family who lightened the story.

I’ve been enjoying all of these stories set on Jonathon Island. They all touch my heart in different ways.
In this story, we read about Sophine and Tyler. She’s trying to hide from who she is and what she is expected to do, and he’s trying to prove himself and feel like he has worth.
I love all the banter and interesting moments between these two. They start to find themselves and see that they are meant to be together.
It was also fun to get to read about some of the other characters in this series and find out what’s happening in their lives. It really made the readers feel they were part of a wonderful community.
Patti Stockdale is a fun author to read. Her stories flow so smoothly that you don’t want to put them down. All the characters are relatable and delightful.
I now look forward to continuing with the other stories set on this island.
I highly recommend picking up this book to start your adventures on Jonathon Island with all its colorful characters.

I love each trip I take to Jonathon Island, and this book was no exception. In this story we meet Sophia, aka Sophie, who is a princess from Bascandy traveling to Jonathon Island to reunite with her maternal grandparents, whom she has not seen since her mother died 18 years ago. Sophie is eager to learn more about her mother, but also desperate to escape an upcoming arranged marriage. Enter Tyler Sullivan, the commitment-avoidant sailor/handyman. Sophie hatches a plot to both help Tyler make repairs to his boat and get her out of her engagement--they should get married. The trouble is, she neglected to share with Tyler that 1. she is a princess and 2. she is engaged. What starts as a marriage of convenience soon turns into a real romance, but of course Sophie's father learns of the marriage and arrives to talk some sense into his daughter. The question is, will Sophie and Tyler be honest about their feelings, and will Sophie find the strength to stand up for what she wants?

I loved how this story wove themes of faith and grace throughout, and the fact that Sophie's mom's name was Grace was a sweet nod to this theme. I also loved the addition of a princess to this series. If you like stories that involve a marriage of convenience, royalty, and clean romance, this book is for you!

I received a complimentary copy of this story from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This was a very fun princess story. Sophie is running from an arranged marriage and convinces her father to let her go visit her grandparents before her (unwanted) wedding. She reaquaints with her long-lost grandparents and meets Tyler, one of the "Sullivan Kids" who needs money to fix his beloved sailboat. This quickly turns into a marriage of connivence (to fix the sailboat and avoid the unwanted marriage). However there are secrets on both sides and they must admit their wrongs and surrender to God's grace. This was a fun fairy-tale remake!
