This was a fun and sweet read! There is a lot of spice happening throughout the book, but there interactions are also very sweet and caring.
The FMC is an intelligent, kind and driven woman who is looking for more from life.
The MMC is a kind, caring, affectionate man/bear shifter looking for his mate.
When the two meet at Axel and his brothers' lodge in Montana, the connection is immediate! I enjoyed that there was also the conflict with the company wanting to buy the resort and land to add a little drama and intrigue.
I did however discover a new "ick" for me through this book. If a man ever says to me, "I want to feel you milk me" while in the throes of passion...I AM OUT. Hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣!

Cozy Like Honey was such a sweet, easy read and a really fun introduction to Clare Marlowe as a debut author. This was actually the first shape-shifter romance I’ve read outside of Twilight and I found it really easy to get into and so dang cute!

Axel is great — devoted, patient and waiting for his person — and the Montana lodge setting adds to the cozy feeling the whole book has. The fated-mates element is new to me but I found it soft and romantic rather than intense.

This isn’t a heavy or overly complicated read, which I really appreciated. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something light, comforting and easy to sink into. I flew through it and enjoyed the sweetness, the chemistry (lots of spice!) and the overall cozy vibe.

I’m excited to see what Clare Marlowe does next and can’t wait to read more about the other brothers! 🐻🍯💛

If you're looking for a quick read, a palate cleanser per se, look no further!

Chloe is a curvaceous NYC accounting exec who was dragged to a Montana lodge with her bestie for vacation!

Axel sees Chloe for the 1st time and its not just love at 1st sight! Chloe is Axel's mate! As in Fated Mate! This was a whole new genre for me with shape shifting & fated mates. Definitely a sweet, slow, gentle introduction for me. But girl, the spice spiced!!!

Every girl wants to find her Axel: a big, warm, loving teddy bear of a man!

Cozy Like Honey is perfect… It’s warm, cozy, and spicy.

🌲The story combines warm feels and small-town vibes, set in a cozy woodland lodge. There’s undeniable chemistry, but things aren’t always that simple and there are problems to resolve. You will get immersed in the honeysuckle sweetness, lusty anticipation, secrets to be shared, and slow build to a spicy- but fated- romance. I have to say, I’ve never rooted for a MMC in a romance the way I did while reading this book! This story had me absolutely in love with him.

🐻Honestly you can’t help but love the MMC. A strong rugged guy who is sweet, gentle, and just a little bit shy? Oh, and did we mention bear shifter? Um… yes please. I'd be willing to get lost in the woods too, if I knew he would be the one to save me.

🍯A FMC who is cute but capable, on a girl’s trip with her bestie- a NYC girl out of her element at the lodge. She is definitely a fish out of water at first and she comes into the story as a bit of a damsel in distress… but smartly uses her career boss energy to become a bit of a heroine herself. Seductive and curvy, intelligent, patient and irresistible. You can’t help but love her too.

🌶️The spice in this story is 🔥 with the right balance of heat to sweet.

I knew INSTANTLY I had to read this as soon as I heard about it – and it did not disappoint. Grab your softest blanket and snuggle up with cozy mug of tea (with honey of course) because you’re going to want to read this in one sitting - and want more when you’re done.

Cozy Like Honey is Clare Marlowe's DEBUT Novel! A friend invited me and a small group of bookish friend to buddy read this book together and I was so excited to join, this is my first ever ARC! Thank you so much to Clare, I love love loved this experience!

I will start by saying I absolutely devoured this book in a single evening, which is saying something because I’m usually an audiobook girlie and I had to actually read this with my eyes 👀. Axel and Chloe’s story was like a warm hug and a fresh stack of pancakes drizzled in syrup, there is definitely a reason Cozy is in the title!

Axel and his brothers are bear shifters who run a lodge in the mountains, and Chloe is an accountant from NYC who thought she was going on a beach vacation with her bestie and ended up at a mountain lodge (honestly feel her, hiking is not my idea of vacation).

The last third of the book is definitely more spice than plot so if that’s not your thing then probably skip this one. If you’re looking for a quick cozy read that is heartwarming and completely unrealistic in the best way then look no further! I’m definitely looking forward to her next book about the brooding grumpy brother of the three, I can’t wait to see how the right girl softens him right up!

This book has ALL the cosiest and sweetest vibes! It’s pure, unadulterated escapism in literary form 🥰 There’s the Montana wilderness, cosy lodges, roaring fires, good food, and hot bear-shifter mountain men... What more could a girl wish for?

When Chloe, a NYC accountant, gets dragged to a remote lodge in Montana to celebrate her best friend’s divorce, she doesn’t realise her perfectly curated life is about to be turned upside down by a super hot, virgin bear-shifter mountain-man.

Axel, despite his size, is such a sweet, gentle teddy bear, literally and figuratively 😍 I love that from the moment he scents Chloe, that’s it for him, and he will do anything in his power to make her happy. I adore the insta-attraction they have, and their interactions with each other are just adorable (lots of blushing, shy glances, and gentle touches). Axel is obsessed with every single inch of his gorgeous plus-sized mate, and it made me feel all of the warm, squishy feels 🥰

The story isn’t all sweetness though; every character has their own issues to resolve, which just makes it even more relatable. There’s also one or two characters that will make you want to punch teeth. I’m looking at you, Russell 😅

If hot honey were a romance novel, it would be Cozy Like Honey by Clare Marlowe. This story blends sweetness and spice in a way that feels both comforting and irresistible, with shifting elements that only deepen the magic of the romance rather than distract from it.

Chloe finds herself without her luggage on an impromptu trip to a Montana lodge with her best friend. What begins as a less than ideal vacation quickly changes when she meets Axel, one of the lodge owners. Axel has been waiting thirty five years for his partner, and from the moment he meets Chloe, he cannot stop thinking about her. The story unfolds over Chloe’s fourteen day stay, allowing their relationship to develop naturally while perfectly balancing tenderness and heat. It is heartfelt, cozy, and undeniably spicy, making it one of the sweetest and spiciest books I have read in a long time.

Cozy Like Honey is like a hot cup of tea in front of the fireplace when it's cold outside. It has everything you could want from a small town romance. If Hallmark movies are your vibe, but you wish they would get a little dirty, this book is perfect for you.
Chloe gets dragged along on a vacation to a cute lodge in Montana with her best friend, and is not having a good time. Then she meets Axel and everything changes. Axel and his brothers run a lodge that has been in their family for generations. It's a perfect setup as they are bear shifters, and there is plenty of land around for them to be their four-legged selves.
The book is nicely paced, which makes it a quick read, and really hard to not want to finish it in one sitting- sleep be damned! The tension between the characters makes is absolutely everything. It's a little bit of a slow burn, but when the spice hits, it is perfect.
I loved the interaction between the brothers, and the glimpses we see of each of them makes me excited for the next books in the series.
I wish there had been a little more description of the setting, which I am sure is gorgeous.
Overall this is a super cute beginning to a series that I am sure will become one of my favorite comfort re-reads in the future. I can't wait to read more.

wow I am thoroughly impressed that this is Clare's debut novel. this book was as cozy as the title suggests and it didn't disappoint.

Axel is the oldest brother and bear shifter, helping run his family's mountain Lodge in the mountains of Montana. This man carries the weight of his family's grief and responsibility on his shoulders. Enter Chloe, the extraordinarily independent and capable city girl on vacation with her best friend. Chloe is just going through the motions of life and the instant attraction and friendship with Axel throws her for a loop in the best way.
The chemistry these two have is thick and when the spice hit.... ugh it was so good. Axel is a cinnamon roll but he has a filthy, delicious mouth. He absolutely worships her and it is so sexy. Chloe is patient and rocks her mans world.

this book was so warm, with low angst and it made it a breeze to read. I loved these characters. I'm so looking forward to the next book!

if you are new to the shifter world, I highly recommend that this book is a fantastic starting point.

It is no secret that paranormal romance is my favorite sub-genre. So when I got the opportunity to be an ARC reader for Clare Marlowe’s debut bear shifter novel “Cozy like Honey “ I could not help but dive in. Despite this being Marlowes first novel readers can clearly see the vision she has for future works. From introducing the MMC Axels family in a way that shows us their personalities without overshadowing the plot, to displaying how the Lodge recovering from a major loss has impacted the town. I could relate to the FMC Chloe’s frustration with putting her all into a job only to yield nothing in return. I could feel how she was fighting her insecurities every step of the way. Marlowe writes her characters with such vulnerability that one could not help but cheer for their victories. My only complaint is that I wish she only focused on Chloe’s insecurities about her life and not her body. This is more of a personal preference regarding my feelings about the characterization of plus size MCs as a whole

This was definitely a cozy read that brought some spice in the second half.

Axel is a bear shifter who thinks he’ll never find his mate. He runs a lodge with his 3 brothers that’s been in the family for generations. He is a walking green flag. Cares about everyone around him and is often too hard on himself.

Chloe is on a much needed vacation, even if it’s not the desired location. She is a workaholic accountant who is often looked over at with/ in life because she doesn’t fit into society’s norm. She is also a walking green flag. She is able to match Axels caringness and raise it one.

Overall, I enjoyed the insta-love that fated mates usually brings to the table. I love seeing two characters that keep showing up for each other. The side characters were also being loving and supportive to both Axel and Chloe.

I would recommend this to someone that is looking for a chill, cozy read that will warm your heart!

I will make this short and sweet without getting into any spoilers. This book really surprised me in all the best ways. This was my first time reading a shape shifter romance, and I have to say, It did not disappoint! This was such a quick and fun read and the characters are so adorable! The story is a fast paced cozy romance with all the lovey dovey small town vibes, and it does not hold back with all the spice! I would definitely recommend this book if you are interested in a good paced spicy romance about a sweet and cuddly shapeshifter MMC and a plus sized FMC vacation fling turned fated mate.

“Cozy Like Honey” was a sweet, cozy, and all around warm read. While I could’ve used a longer time frame for our mains to fall in love, let’s be honest, most Hallmark romances take place over less than two weeks, so I can’t be that bummed. I’m a sucker for slow-burn, so sue me! (But Danielle, home girl, we need to talk about our bestie chats 👀).
Our MMC, Axel, was a breath of fresh air, and who doesn’t love a curvy girl FMC? This book was pretty spicy (🌶️🌶️🌶️) and maybe even a little too much spice for my usual bookshelf, but like in a more romantic way which was also a nice change of pace compared to a lot of romance novels as of late. Overall, I enjoyed the read, and now I’m hoping we get a book for each brother…Clare I NEED Raif to find his mate pleeeeeaassee!!!

This was a great evening read!! I was hooked from the beginning. It gave Hallmark movie vibes with a shifter twist. The book was fast paced and kept you entertained all the way through. There was even a bit of suspense with mysterious men hanging around. I also like that we got to meet all of the brothers and that the series will continue with each brother.

This was a cute easy read.
Axel and his brothers own a lodge in the beautiful mountains of Montana.
Axel is strong and rugged but also sweet and kind bear shifter. When he sees Chloe he knows she is his mate.
Chloe is on a girl's trip with her bestie but she really isn't having a good time. she is used to her life back in New York but once she meets Axle and forms a friendship with him things heat up.
It's a slow burn but when the spice hits it hits.
This is definitely a different kind of genre for me to read but it was cute.

This was a cute and cozy fated mates romance! It's a slow burn, so expect delicious pining and lots of steam when the MCs finally give in ;) They were so perfect for each other! I liked how the inexperienced MMC was portrayed; I found the take on this trope refreshing. The secondary characters were great, too, making me curious to see who their mates will be :D The setting with the lodge, small town, and nature offered me a good escape from the reality of the big city, so I'm ready to book a stay at Silver Lake Lodge!

Then his lodge is having financial trouble and the fmc accountant spends days of her vacation investigating his books and find fraud and embezzlement from their tax guy okay cool so mmc ghosts her. She gets hurts they make out and he kinda of ghost her again. I’m sorry but where is this cozy? Your once in a lifetime mate is finally here and instead of wooing she gets ghosted after working and left alone a lot! No thanks for this clueless mmc

This book was pure cozy escapism in the best way… which to be honest I really needed. The setup alone hooked me. A curvy FMC reluctantly tagging along on a vacation with her freshly divorced best friend, completely unprepared for a remote Montana lodge? Instant fish-out-of-water which I’m a sucker for. Add wilderness and an…um… “inexperienced”MMC. That’s all I really need in life. Plus I feel like there is way more in this universe to come 😜

Cozy Like Honey was such a nice escape from reality. It is cozy, spicy and relatively low stakes and made me want to sit on the back deck of a lodge in Montana while sipping wine and staring at the forest. I spotted this book through some adorable fanart and I couldn't help but be intrigued by the premise. I adore shifter romances, especially with the promise of a good knotting scene. Cozy Like Honey really lived up to it's title as it was the embodiment of coziness. It gave me the warm fuzzies practically from the first chapter. Axel was one of the sweetest heroes I've read in a long time. He was courteous, protective, and absolutely enthralled by Chloe's scent. I was pretty impressed with his moves considering she was his first partner for all things carnal. This was a great slow burn with a roaring fireplace of a payoff. This book also set up Axel's brothers for their future romances. I'm already drawn to the grumpiest one as his book is next. My only critique is the conflict bummed me out with real life issues like financial woes and body dysmorphia. It was a little too close to home, but otherwise a sweet paranormal romance I stayed up late reading. I'm so happy I found this author on Instagram and I'm "beary" excited to read more from her. Fur sure!

Calling all shifter romance readers... this is your book! If you’re done with drama, trauma, and epic tragedy, put this on your TBR. When the title says ‘cozy,’ it’s not lying. This one gives you all the warm fuzzy feelings. If you’re someone who loves Hallmark movies (can you say, big city gal finds love at a small mountain lodge?) you won’t want to miss this one. It’s a slow burn, but when it hits, it HITS. And you get four big cuddly bear bros, so you know the other three will be along to find their fated mates soon!
