But when one unfortunate t-shirt, a few test-tube shots, and an ill-advised nightclub choice land her on a transport pod, bound for another planet... Yeah. Maybe she should have stayed in.
As if being taken from her home and her two best friends wasn't bad enough, Sofi soon finds out she's been selected for a very special she's a perfect breeding vessel. Or as the aliens say, "an omega."
Sofi may not know what that is, but she soon finds out what it
She's been claimed. By an alien king. An alpha.
Which would be bad enough... But, turns out? On Khanos? Bad news comes in threes. Literally.

Ari Wright resides in a sun-soaked corner of the United States, where she spends her days raising littles, cooking, reading, consuming massive amounts of music, and doing entirely too much daydreaming.
Ari began writing novels at the age of twelve. A passionate book-lover all her life, her mother once joked that she had to start writing her own stories because she had read everyone else’s. After fifteen years of writing, Ari finally set out to author her debut contemporary romance novel... instead, she wrote two!
It has been her lifelong dream to share the worlds inhabiting her mind with others. Welcome to her dream come true!
This is a why choose, omegaverse, alien romance story with lots of spice. Make sure you know what all this means before reading.
I am f*king in love with a book. I am left soaking and squelching like the omega Sofi in this damn story. Oh also, so you know immediately they got two 🍆🍆and one of them has two 🪢. You get it now, right?!
Okay, before going further you need to know this story ends on a HEA for our four characters. It’s hella cute and there may-or-may not be a baby. TBD on that one. Also, there is kind of a cliffhanger at the end of their story. However, there is a quite long epilogue which also kind of ends us on another cliffhanger.
What I am telling you, is you will fall in love with this world and these characters and then whimper and scream because they have left you and now you NEED all the stories NOW!
We are obviously set up for a book two and honestly with this double cliffhanger I have no idea what to expect from book two.
Also, through out the story you realize how many “Easter eggs” you’ve been missing, so you know what. Book two is gonna be a wild ride because I noticed, but didn’t register all those clues. I am just vibing with the alphas.
This starts out an an abduction story. Of course Sofia, the human FMC gets abducted. Not sure if it’s an accident or if she actually wished it upon herself. I suppose another mystery of the book.
We meet Bloop aliens, I forgot what they’re called, but Sofia calls them something like Bleeps or Bloops or Blops, so they’re her captures though they’re part of some Galatic Federation thing, so technically they’re not supposed to do any harm.
Then Sofia gets sold to the Roktusians and we love those dudes! They respect and love their Omegas. Also, their planet is going through some things right now. It seems they’re desperate for an Omega because it’s been like many years or like a lot of rotations since the kind alpha has found an omega to breed. There’s a whole thing where if the king doesn’t breed no one does. Like, clearly the entire galaxy knows hence why Sofia was sold to them.
That’s not even the most tragic part. It’s tied to Zolkan the main Alpha MMC. Boy has some trauma and also carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and like the planet the too? You gotta read it.
Okay, another thing you should know besides there being a lot of wonderful spice. There is also a lot of angst at the beginning of the story. When I say beginning of story I feel like the first 30 or 40 chapters there is a lot of angst with all these characters. Mostly because of their past and life trauma, but also because they’re trying to figure out this whole Omega thing out.
After like chapter 41 it’s like all spice and love and becomes so sappy and romantic you forget they all had issues because they just all make sense together and you love them
There are bad guys and there’s like a fight? There’s like a like intense moment with a space craft and fire and landing. However, we are left wondering about these bad guys. Like, I am getting the vibe they’re actually the good guys, but none of their actions make sense to me, so right now they’re the bad dudes. Read it and you’ll see.
The world building is great! It’s not like a high fantasy where you smudging through 10 chapters of world building. It’s actually well done and you learn more about the world and where we are through the characters. Especially through Sofia because she’s new to this planet.
Also, this planet is so adorable. So much pink and blues and purples. It’s a Cotten candy dream and I want so badly to live there 😍
Okay, go read this story and then riot when you finish because you also NEED all the stories

Sofi has always felt alone and out of place on Earth, growing up in the foster system, moving to new families constantly, and never having a place to call home. Suddenly, her whole life is upended when she’s abducted, told she’s an omega, and sold to the King of an alien planet she’s never heard of. Now she finds herself enthralled with the King, his General, and the Chief Healer on this strange new planet, all while her newly discovered omega nature is starting to take hold…
The second I saw the synopsis I knew I had to read it. My brain was screaming “WHY CHOOSE ICE PLANET BARBARIANS?! YES PLEASE! SIGN ME UP.”
This book was SO fun. I absolutely adore our FMC Sofi. Her internal monologues and overall displeasure with being abducted (I mean, rightfully so) was hilarious. The relationships she built throughout the book while navigating her new life on Khanos were also a blast. From teaching Norabi Earth slang to forming an adorable bond with Stanley, you’re guaranteed to laugh at her antics.
The males were also really interesting. I liked the history and background we got when it came to the Rokturian race with all their physical distinctions and characteristics.
The progression of the guys’ relationships, both with Sofi, and with each other, were really beautiful. I loved how respectful Zolkan was, even knowing that everything he did was to his detriment. Rask’s more playful nature brought a lot of light and happiness to Sofi in her new situation. Cylus, the grump’s, kindness toward Sofi and willingness to be her friend - albeit reluctantly - was so heartwarming. Cylus absolutely secured his spot as my favorite. 🤭
So excited to see this series continue. Can’t wait to learn more about the Drakosians, the Galactic Council, omegas in general, and how Sofi’s Earth friends are doing.
Thank you so much to Ari Wright and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to ARC read this book. All thoughts are my own. 💗
Ari really knows how to try something new while still staying true to what she does best: omegaverse!!
This was my first alien romance and what a way to pop my cherry. I applied to the arc not knowing what is was about, only that it was a new type of Ari Wright book, so I knew I had to apply because I love everything Ari writes and this book wasn’t any different. I love how in Ari’s omegaverse there is always a lot of longing and building up to the spice. And that the characters aren’t the ‘standard’ alpha and omega. Sofi isn’t some meek omega but strong and curious and willing to adapt to her new surroundings including the 3 huge aliens with a totally different anatomy than the human male. And there is more to the 3 alphas than their need to breed. In a teaser there was mention of multiple appendages and I was intrigued haha. The physical differences between the characters didn’t’t stop them from forming a bond mentally and physically and I fell in love with all 4.
This story is literally out of this world and I loved every second of it.
Okay so Review incoming from ARC copy from Author 🖤
Honestly where to start?! This was beyond my wildest dreams. Ari Wright is one of my insta-buy authors so that should clue you in there.
Ice Planet Barbarians was my first ever introduction into the world of Alien Smutty GOODNESS but this, this was next tier because not only did it combine that perfection of alien but OMEGAVERSE as well! Total chefs kiss. Honestly, can’t wait for a physical copy for my shelf. Combines that omegaverse element that so many love with the crazy aliens/alien planet and abducted human vibes. Perfect synchronization of the two. A must read for anyone a fan of the two different sub genres.
Ari Wright seriously knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait for the continuation. 🖤🖤
Out of this World is a standalone alien why choose omegaverse romance written in multi first person POV. The story primarily follows Sofi, a woman from Earth who finds herself abducted and transported to another planet. They claim she is an elusive omega and the king of Khanos is in need of an omega to help revitalize his planet. To make matters more interesting, Sofi finds herself drawn to an alien healer and an alien warrior alongside the king. Will she be able to find her freedom amidst all the chaos or will she find that maybe an omega’s strength is bringing people together into the family she always dreamed of?
The premise of this book is hilarious and I really liked the play on the Omegaverse.
Sofi is the kind of protagonist that fits so well in a story like this. She is confused and torn because she has absolutely no idea what is happening. I liked seeing her build relationships and let go. She has to decide if she wants to fight for home or build some in their new place and I truly felt for her!
Our three males include - Rask, Zolkan, and Cylus add a lot of tension and angst to the story. Rask, the warrior, and Zolkan, the king, have a lot of messy history that this story forces them to confront. They also don't fully understand Omegas since it has been so long since one has been in their world - add in the idea of a pack is unfamiliar we see they fight for Sofi quite often. Zolkan has a lot of guilt to unpack here with Rask dealing with anger. Cylus, on the other hand, is a sweet healer who gravitates towards Sofi and is a true kind soul that just eases things. He struggles to understand why he feels drawn to Sofi but he wants to do the right thing.
In terms of spice I would place this book at 5 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. There are approximately 8 spicy scenes with the first appearing around the 24% mark. As this is omegaverse there is knotting, ruts, and heats which add intensity to the spice. In addition our males have multiple attributes each so double the fun! Spice involves multiple partners at times but sometimes one on one. This spice is focused around the female so there is no direct spice between the males. I felt the spice was well written.
The story itself I felt ran on too long. The focus is Sofi being brought to this planet to mate the king but there becomes this angsty push and pull when they discover she is not as willing to be in this mating as they were told. Zolkan often tries to push her away or place distance between them and he uses Rask for that purpose. There is also an overarching story around omegas and their importance to the planet that helps unravel the story further and Cylus plays a role in that. There is some action to punctuate the story but what frustrated me was the lack of communication between the characters. There is a lot of internal thinking for each character as they struggle with their feelings and what that means, especially given Sofi is meant for the king but then there are moments that challenge that angst that isn't discussed between the characters. If they had just spoken I feel like things would have gone a different path. If there had been less internal dialogue I think it would have made it easier to trust the process for me. That said the side characters offer some wisdom and prompts that the characters do benefit from and the ending has a happily ever after that really brought the lore and Sofi's journey to a satisfying finish.
Overall, I felt the world and premise grabbed me but I struggled with the internal monologues at times.
Thank you to the author and Luna Literary Management for this arc!
This book is so different from anything I’ve ever read, but also so familiar in a very comforting way. This author found a way to combine the elements of both contemporary omegaverse (human, non-shifter) and paranormal/alien romance in such a fun, compelling, emotional, and spicy way that it was just a joy to read. It’s not a secret that I will read pretty much anything that falls into the romance genre at least once, and I am a big fan of both OV and paranormal. This just worked for me. If you understand the basics of omegaverse and alien romance (or really, one or the other) then you won’t have a difficult time figuring out what is going on here.
The world building is well done but not overwhelming, and the descriptions of the scenery and beings that the FMC comes across are vivid, almost like a movie playing out in my head as I was reading. There is some sci-fi science here, but this one is really for the readers who don’t reach for that genre often. It enhances the setting and world the author created, but we are reading this for the character and relationship development, not the science. Speaking of characters, the four main characters are all unique, flawed, and compelling. Sofi (FMC) is a human who is just minding her business when she is abducted by aliens, told she is an “omega” (whatever that means, right?) and chosen to be the king’s omega. The king (Zolkan), general (Rask), and healer (Cylus) are all drawn to Sofi, but she was chosen for Zolkan. She can’t have all of them (or can she?). The men all have their own traumas and pain to work through, but she helps them find common ground and realize that past hurts can be overcome.
The men in this book are all down bad and I love to see it. They worship her and the ground she walks on. Consent is a huge deal in this world and with these men, and they go to almost extreme lengths at times to ensure she retains her autonomy. They are all just so good, both generally speaking and as her partners. That doesn’t mean that forming their pack is easy (ooh boy they go through it before they let themselves find happiness) but when they let fate take over it’s like everything just clicks into place. The bonding scene is so special (though I feel that way about all of this author’s omegaverse books, the way she writes those scenes is just excellent) and I love the epilogues (and the little hints at what could come in the future in this series).
*I am so grateful to be a member of Ari Wright’s Cheer Squad/Content Team! Thank you so much to Ari and her team for the opportunity to ARC read this book! All opinions are my own*
Out of This World by Ari Wright ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⤷ Out of This World was such a refreshing and fun read that I devoured in one sitting. Ari created a beautiful mix of Omegaverse and Alien romance that complemented each other and offered a comforting familiarity. I definitely need one of those fun girl shirts, too.
⤷ Sofia’s dialogue had me laughing and looking forward to seeing how she dealt with whatever new information was thrown at her. Zolkan, Rask, and Cylus were each distinct and swoonworthy in their own way. I really appreciated the importance of consent and respect for Sofia's autonomy, which is often blurred in other alien romances.
⤷ I really enjoyed reading this book. If you want a fun, sweet & spicy, why choose romance with an omegaverse and alien vibes mix, this is perfect for that. It’s a pretty light and breezy read, too.
⤷ I’m loving this new series so much, I already can’t wait to see what happened to Sofia’s friends & learn more about the Drakosians.

This was a really unique take on Omegaverse! Different than anything else I’ve read previously. I love some good alien smut, and omegaverse, so to see the two different universes kind of collide in this unique mixed up way was fun!
The overall plot was a woman wore a t-shirt that says “Abduct me, Daddy” to an alien themed strip club out with her friends, so OF COURSE that meant she was literally asking for aliens to come and abduct/“rescue” her from the dying crappy planet Earth, right? Well that’s what the aliens thought. “Rescued” from Earth, there are laws in place that once a being from Earth leaves Earth, they can no longer go back. So she’s stuck in space, and comes to find out she’s an Omega, so she is selected to be the omega to a King of another planet. On this planet omegas are extinct, true mates are extremely rare now, and the other Alphas cannot reproduce until their King or the “Prime Alpha” reproduces first, so there hasn’t been a child born to the planet in over 20 years.
But what’s better than being the omega to a king? Finding out she doesn’t have one, but has THREE Alpha’s. The King, the General (and the kings EX-best friend), and the healer.
Of course their relationships do not come simply. There’s a lot of internal emotional turmoil within all of them, some traumatic history between the King and the General, the King doesn’t want to tie her to him and take away the last bits of freedom she has since she was taken against her will, and the other two have to fight their feelings for her since she’s their King’s omega!
Ultimately there is a HEA, and lots and lots of spicy time to be had.

Overall this was a fun spicy read. My only complaint is the length. It felts drawn out a lot of the time. A lot of filler. Overall 3.5 but I’ll give it the 4 stars, and 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 spice
I'd like to start by thanking the author and Luna Literary for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own!
Let me start by informing you that the males in this book have two 🍆 as well as an assortment of wings, tails and horns... which was perfect for this hornball. We are also talking about a why choose, omegaverse, alien romance story with so much spice it's like a ghost chili in here.
So as is standard in a lot of alien romance with a human mc (a lot not all), Sofia the FMC gets abducted because she was "asking for saving" and she obviously cannot be returned home because humans don't know aliens exist. For someone that was thrown into a strange planet, dumped with the knowledge that she was an omega and then had to deal with broody but hot aliens, Sofi really held her own and showed that "Improvise. Adapt. Overcome" Bear Grylls mentality 💪
THE MMCS OH MY GOD. They growled, had phenomenal bodies that could do magical things to an omega, they had the knots and also enough trauma to fill a swimming pool. We had the broody emotionally damaged and scarred king, the fierce flirtatious emotionally damaged warrior, and the emotionally damaged nerdy doctor. THEY ARE ALL HOT AND CAN DO THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE A GROWN WOMAN SWOON 😍 The amount of healing they all have to go through was so sad, but the fact they did it together had my heart melting.
DID I MENTION THE FACT THAT THESE MEN HAD TWO PEENS EACH AND KNOTS AND COULD HAVE THE HOTTEST AND FILFTHIEST SPICE WITH SOFI. INCLUDING THAT MOMENT WHERE THEY HAD TO PRESENT 🤤I would love to be in that hot broody male sandwich and get to explore their anatomy myself. I fear it would be the best way to go out and I would accept that death.
I had an absolute blast with this book and cannot wait for book two because I don't know what to expect, and I am also bloody terrified to find out what the cliffhangers mean 🫣 I also hope we get answers for a bunch of plot points because I am confused by the enemies and some of the world lore. This was my first Ari Wright and it certainly won't be my last because I am obsessed 💖
"I don't think I've loved anything else until her. The strength of this... the depth. I feel like I belong to her, now."
Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Thanks to the very specific wording on a novelty t-shirt, Sofi winds up in an alien spaceship instead of her uber home. And if that isn't surprising enough, she finds out that she's an Omega... and has been chosen by an alien king.
This book hit absolutely all the right notes for me. Sexy, clever, funny, and screaming hot - I truly could not put this down. We are thrown onto Khanos with Sofi, and I loved the world-building in this, and learning their customs and history alongside her. The planet is GORGEOUS and I wanted to live there by the descriptions alone (and that was before we met Zolkan, Rask, and Cylus, and by then I was like - yeah you'd better book me a ticket, too).
We're introduced to Zolkan along the way - who's been tasked with finding an Omega, and is very much a tortured king. There's so many cool reveals about his character along the way, it already has me wanting to reread it! We also meet Rask, the war general who chose Sofi from other alien (to them) Omegas and is saving parts of himself for his own, and Cylus, a medic who's never felt the emotional connection/pull of another before. The way they're all connected and how they fold Sofi into their lives is so good, I'm so glad this was a Why Choose because I would have been way too hard to pick a favorite!
There's plenty of emotional moments and angst as well in their story, woven in with supremely well-written spice (with Sofi + each MMC separately, and together). This is definitely an alien romance, and their anatomy - phew! You just really need to read this, that's all I gotta say. I know you're going to be hooked along for the ride like I was! 💖 I loved every second.

[I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, thank you so much Ari Wright and Luna Literary Management!]
I received an ARC from The Smuthood for an honest review, and let’s just say Ari Wright has done it again!
Ari Wright is officially my favorite Omegaverse author. I have devoured every single thing she’s written, so when she announced a new series—specifically an Alien Omegaverse—I knew I could die happy. This book was such a delight from start to finish.
The Vibe If you’re looking for heavy angst, look elsewhere. This is light, fluffy, and vibrant. We’re talking large, pastel-colored Alphas on a pink warrior planet. I absolutely loved the "shove it" to toxic masculinity here—having a pink General who is a hopeless romantic? Yes, please.
The Characters Our FMC, Sofi, is a human from Earth who gets abducted and chosen in an Omega selection for the King. She’s sweet, funny, and adapts so well to her new life. But the Alphas really stole the show:
Rask (The General): Pink, flirty, and a total romantic dreamer, but with the strategic mind that proves why he’s in charge of the military. Cylus (The Healer): Blue, a bit furry, and the perfect grumpy/reclusive type who doesn't coddle Sofi but can't help befriending her. Zolkan (The King): Purple and carrying the weight of a dying planet on his shoulders. His internal doubt made him so relatable, and watching Sofi bring all three of these powerful males to their knees was incredible.
The Twist I loved the change-up to the usual Omegaverse formula. Usually, everyone just knows the ABO dynamics, but since Sofi is from our version of Earth, she has no clue what's happening. It added such a fun, fresh layer to the "fish out of water" trope.
The Spice Let’s talk about the smut, because it is top-tier. Not only do these Alphas have multiple knots, but they have two dicks. You heard that right. Two. The group scenes were spicy, creative, and a total treat to read.
Final Verdict: 5 stars for a fun, feel-good time! If you want monster/alien romance that’s high on spice and low on stress, you need this.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Let me start by saying—I’ve read omegaverse before, but I’m not going to lie, I really enjoyed Ari Wright’s storyline for Out of This World. An alien x human, why-choose omegaverse where the FMC doesn’t even know she’s an omega… and gets abducted by aliens? Yeah, I was sold immediately.
We follow Sofia “Sofi,” a human omega who has no idea what she is. She ends up getting abducted on her best friend’s birthday after they go to an alien-themed strip club (the irony is definitely not lost 😂). Apparently, alcohol + a shirt that says “abduct me, daddy” is enough to get the universe’s attention… because she actually gets taken.
Once abducted, Sofi learns that aliens are very real... and that she’s been “saved” because she unknowingly called for it. She’s found by Rask, a general, who was sent to retrieve an omega for Zolkan, the king and prime alpha of his planet. Then there’s Cylus, the alpha healer, who quickly becomes her safest space. He’s thoughtful, a little nerdy, and even goes out of his way to learn things (like making her shoes) because her human body isn’t built for their world.
As Sofi adjusts, there’s definitely a learning curve, but she slowly begins to realize she may not want to go back to Earth at all. For the first time, she’s able to embrace instincts she never understood before. Zolkan, Rask, and Cylus all try to fight their growing feelings for her, but it’s only a matter of time before they give in. Watching their dynamic develop—along with Sofi learning about mates, customs, and her place in their world .. was really engaging.
And the spice? 🌶️ 5/5—no notes. Let’s just say… these alien men come equipped and know exactly how to use what they’ve got 👀. I also loved that they were willing to learn her customs too (like kissing), which made their connection feel more balanced and intentional.
Overall, this was a fun, spicy, and unique omegaverse read that I really enjoyed.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Ok I am a huge fan of Ari’s Omegaverse books and this new take was so much fun to read! The plot follows Sofi who is abducted from Earth and sent to selection as she’s discovered to be an omega. She has no idea and thus begins her journey of not only learning that there are other beings and worlds but that she is also different.
I loved learning about the Khanos- the planet the alphas are from! Ari did a great job describing it, I felt like I was right there taking all the gorgeous colors in! Their planet needs an omega to continue the royal line and they’ve not had success for many years. Until the king has an heir, no other alpha is capable of reproducing. The alphas- Zolkan the king, Rask the General and Cylus the Chief Healer are all different and each brings a uniqueness to the plot! I appreciated getting a back story on Zolkan and Rask’s characters as it really gave more depth to the story. The nicknames they each have for Sofi.. omg swoon! The Alphas are also packing some extra appendages and knots and gosh was that a fun time to read! The spice was 𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕! 🔥 There is heat and plenty of knotting!!
I don’t want to go into detail about the alphas because I feel like it’s important for how not only Sofi's story develops with them but how they also grow and change individually. I will say they are all down bad for Sofi and would do anything for her (even hide things if they felt they were doing it for the right reasons) The ending was great and set up book 2 and I cannot wait for more of this series!!

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My Thoughts: Some books hook you in by the blurb, others by the title or author…however this book hooked me in by the cover alone. Seeing the beautiful character art and the fun colors pulled me in as I needed to know what this book would be about. Considering it’s a why choose book about aliens..definitely threw me back into my ice planet barbarians moment that I had. I was so ready to dive into this world and see what it had to offer.
Sofi, Zolkan, Rask and Cylus were an incredible team that turned into a lovely found family. Each one of the MMCs were so different in personality and what they brought to the relationship that I just knew Sofi was going to be well taken care of. Sofi even brought all three of them closer in a sense as well which made for an even stronger foundation for all of them. When I found out why Sofi was “kidnapped” by aliens, I couldn’t help but laugh because it makes you think about what you say on a daily basis and how others might interpret it.
Not only did I love our main characters but I also really liked the world building in this book. When you are dealing with an alien/monster romance, I like being able to fully envision the world that these characters are from. The way the planet was described and how omegas are a necessity in order for the alphas and the planet to thrive, I instantly wanted to stay on the planet of Khanos for as long as possible. Considering how Sofi was chosen as an omega fit for breeding, you can guarantee there was plenty of spice that came along the way which definitely included lots of interesting extra “things” that the alphas had to surprise Sofi with. Overall it was a really great time being part of Khanos and I am excited to see more!
On a girls night gone wrong our heroine Sofi finds herself abducted by aliens. We come to find out that she is an omega who is being “saved” from a desiccating planet… I.e. Earth. Well, that sounds nice and everything she’s put in a cage and is part of what is called the selection. One of our MMC’s, Rask, has been sent to find an omega for the king of his planet. Noticing her strength and fight, as she’s kept in her cage, Rask chooses her and what follows is both heartbreaking as Sofi realizes she’ll never be able to go home, but also heart warming as the bond grows between Sofi and her alphas.
I’m always very impressed when an author has multiple MMC’s, but is able to maintain separate personalities for each one. Our king is humble and is tortured by his past. He doesn’t think that he’s good enough for love and especially not for an Omega like Sofi. Cy is grumpy and aloof and has only really cared about healing and medicine. That’s why I loved it so much when he realizes Sofi was his first friend. And of course, our general, Rask. He is your typical Playboy flirt but he’s also very genuine and is willing to make the hard decisions when he thinks it’s the right one.
I am a sucker for a sweet omega verse story, and watching the four of them come together and grow their relationship was just really heartwarming. Each one of them was a little broken and their pieces fit together to make them all whole again.
There is quite a bit of space that is open door in the mfmm romance, so make sure that you’re aware of that. And what Ari is doing with tails is quite frankly on the forefront of the industry 😂. The little twist at the end with such a great hook for the next book. I can’t wait to see where she takes it.
I did receive this as an arc, but I am making my review holy from my own thoughts and opinions.
A why choose omegaverse with aliens and a human? sign me up!
This is a really easy to read, fun book that is a twist on the omegaverse. You have a human FMC who is abducted and told she is an omega and is to help bring an alien civilization back from the brink of extinction by breeding with it’s Alpha king. Sofi is then chosen and that is how she meets the 3 MMC’s. These guys are aliens with their own unique characteristics and personalities. I loved how different they were and each had their own unique backstories and characteristics. Plus, throw in the fact these guys have wings, tails and two other things 👀 and it makes for a very fun and spicy book. This defintely gives a bit of ice planet barbarian vibes so if that is a series you enjoy, this is something you should totally check out!
I will say some of the spice scenes did get a little bit repetitive and were basically the same thing over and over again. I still really enjoyed it and seeing her relationship with the guys grow but it did feel a bit too insta-lovey at times. I also wanted to see more of the guys and their history and backstory. We got a little bit of it, but I wish we were able to dive a bit deeper. I think that would have balanced out some of the repetitive spice scenes but also make their entire relationship feel more meaningful. I still really enjoyed this and had a really fun time reading.
If you’re a fan of: - why choose - Omegaverse - Fated Mates - Human FMC - Alien MMCs - Found family - Double the fun 👀 - Exhibitionism - Breeding kink - Knotting
This is a book you should totally check out!
Thank you Ari Wright and Luna Literacy for this eARC in exchange for my honest review! 💕
You’ll pick this up for the alien alphas with two 🍆🍆 and tails or wings (but always two 🍆🍆 and two hearts) but you’ll stay for the humor and love threaded throughout.
Alien omegaverse Human omega female Adorable dog-like sidekick Rags to riches
Ya’ll, this was SO well done. Sofi, our FMC, is living in earth-like drudgery, working just to barely scrape by and finding her only joy in her friends. After a night out with the girls ends in her being “rescued” from earth and thrust into an intergalactic life, everything changes. And it’s all due to her shirt. You need to read it.
Sofi is such a fun character. A little sarcastic, a lot scared and equally curious. Intelligent and reasonable. And her Alphas are distinctly portrayed and big softies for her, each in their own ways. Zolkan, the king, who puts everyone’s needs before his own and is racked with guilt for his past. Rask, full of anger and passion. And Cylus (who might be my personal favorite) is such a wet blanket with slutty little glasses and a no-nonsense approach to life.
The world building was SO well done. We’re introduced to the history and culture of the alien world along with Sofi and the result is natural and organic storytelling as we experience the wonders of this world at her side.
It’s slow burn (to me), but when the spice happens, it is scorching! Omega desperation and Alpha ruts galore. Tails are used (which I love) and some exhibitionism (also love) and both the pleasure 🍆 and breeding 🍆 of all the alphas come into play. Bring it on.
Best of all? The epilogues indicate there’s going to be more in this world with some minor mystery thrown in!
Thanks so much to Ari Wright and Luna Literary for the eARC. All opinions are honestly given.
Ari Wright’s upcoming release features a fresh take on the omegaverse trope, and I was here for every minute of it! This book had me hooked from the first page as I felt an immediate kinship with introverted Sofi. Fueled by iced coffee and a partial sleeve of Toffee-tastic Girl Scout cookies, I binge read Out of this World. Is there a better way to spend a Saturday?
Who could have foreseen that being coerced into wearing an “Abduct me, Daddy” tee featuring a peen shaped rocket ship to a girls’ night out would result in being abducted by actual aliens?! Certainly not Sofi!
Out of this World was escapism at its best, with captivating characters, enticing spicy scenes that had me suspend all logic and just go with it, and a found family that brought a tear to my eye. Even if alien romance or omegaverse isn’t usually your jam, this book will put a smile on your face.
Written in multiple POV, character development and the path to an HEA for Sofi & her alphas is the main focus, but questions regarding the larger interplanetary political scene and possible manipulation of history are raised as well. I’m looking forward to seeing how this unfolds in future books in the series.
And if you’ve never read an omegaverse before, no worries, because Ari Wright’s got you! Sofi is human, has no idea what an omega even is, and certainly doesn’t believe she is one. As she gradually learns about the planet, their culture, and the relationships between alphas & omegas, the omegaverse system for this book is clearly laid out. Everything is revealed at the perfect time!
Thank you @ari.wrights.romance & @thesmuthood for the #gifted early copy of Out of this World.
This is such a fun read, filled with twists, laughter, swoony moments and hot-as-heck spice (seriously, with each book Wright pens, the spice amps up like, 100 degrees). I love that she's combined OV with aliens, and that there is such a strong reasoning backing up the narrative.
Sofi had me in hysterics - she's so fun, with her "human" ways and fourth-wall breaks. So many times I was laughing out loud, but she also has so much heart to her, and her growth from scared human to accepting (sometimes bossb!tch) omega was so good.
I loved how individual all the MMCs were - not just in looks, but in personality too. You always knew who's POV you were reading in if you paused mid-chapter, and their backstories entwined so wonderfully to create a shared history.
I will say, the book was long for what it contained. There was repetition, and whilst the world was unique, some of the names... not so much. There were times where I thought she could have had so much fun with names, but went with "spekks" and "tekk" - honestly pulled me out of the story a little. The overall overarching plot for the whole series was also kind of... predictable. My bestie and I (we buddy-read this ARC) called out the reveal in the epilogue very early into the book 😅 (but honestly, we're too switched on for our own good sometimes).
Absolutely love this new world that Wright has created, and you bet I'm going to continue to read each book in this series she releases. It's unique, fun, and who wouldn't love a trio of double-d!cked aliens to call their own? 😂
Thank you to the author and @lunaliterary.management for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
I received an advance copy in exchange for my honest review. Talk about slow burn and all yearn. I’ve never wanted love interests to kiss so badly in my life!
This was a really exciting and fun take on the omegaverse & on alien romance. I loved the combination. I cannot personally speak much on alien specific romance as this is my first alien romance, so my only reference is monster romance which is similar to this book. I truly enjoyed it & honestly I’m definitely foaming at the mouth for the next book. One thing I (lovingly) despise about this author is that she refuses to just give me all the answers at once. I swear her writing alone is enough to Incentivize me to read the next book please stop leaving me with so many questions. I really loved watching how the characters built relationships with each other and how Sofi caused such shared affection even with those outside of her alphas. Although I personally would’ve loved to see more interactions between Sofi and everyone outside of Mortana & Norabi, I also wish we could’ve even seen more of the budding friendship between Sofi & Norabi. I know realistically it’s not that important to the plot but we see Sofi pretty exclusively with three guys who are very hot & cold with her for a long time. I was hoping she’d make friends with someone who she could seek comfort from when she was feeling down. I truly want Sofi & her friends to reunite. I hope we see that in a future book. I truly enjoyed this book and I’m excited to see where the series goes from here. This book was just such fun and interesting. There was nothing that could’ve prepared me for it.
I’ve been feeling a little unmotivated with my reading lately - not fully connecting or getting hooked - but I couldn't put this book down. I fell in love with this world
It is out there! The story is colorful, intriguing, funny and spicy all wrapped up in an omegaverse alien sandwich. There is one FMC, three MMCs and a weirdly beautiful, cotton candyish, world where the males have wings, tails, horns and two appendages. So much fun!
The world and character building/descriptions are clear and vivid, yet not overwhelming and unnecessarily detailed. I could almost see the scenes play out in my head .
Even though there is a lot of spice and humor, the story also carries a lot of angst and emotional trauma. Each character is dealing with their own trauma, insecurities, and inner struggles, which creates a lot of tension and push–pull dynamics, especially in the first half. The pining is good, the emotional weight is real, and watching them work through it all and move toward each other was incredibly satisfying.
We get multiple POVs from all four main characters, along with plenty of internal monologue, which really helps bring their individual personalities and emotions to life. Each MMC brings something unique—a King, a Warrior, and a Healer—while the FMC is kind-hearted and grounding. The dynamic between them is beautifully balanced, with strong protective instincts from the men, worshipping her at every opportunity, and her genuine acceptance and connection with them.
I really enjoyed this book. It sets things up nicely for a sequel, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
This book was a delight to read from beginning to finish!
I have read a lot of Omegaverse books and I’ve read a lot of Sci-fi romances. But I’ve never read a combo! It felt like a breath of fresh air.
I appreciated the world building and the aesthetics of it over all. I could see it as I read it. Which for me, as a reader, is very important because I like to be immersed in the story. Ari did not disappoint!
The three MMC’s were all amazing in their own delightful way. I have the softest spot for Cylus who is the ultimate Grumpmaster Supreme who happens to be a healer. But he is also the first one of the three to learn her name.(Swoon) Rask was such a hopeless romantic who was also a General to his planets army. (Hot) Zolkan is the King and is also the Prime Alpha. His responsibility can either save or make his people extinct. No pressure, am I right?(Sigh)
Sofi is our FMC who’s omega was dormant until she was snatched and then saved via spaceship. Her sense of humor absolutely left me in stitches. She was so funny. She learns about these three males and in turn falls in love with them while trying to figure out where she belongs. What’s an Omega to do?
This book made me laugh, made me cry (curse you prologue!) and made me squint at the night sky a wee bit harder. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series because I already love the glimpse into this world!
If you love the following then this book is for you: Why Choose Aliens Br€€ding K!nks Fated Mates Touch her and 💀 Size Difference
Guys, to say I’m obsessed with this story is an understatement. I want to say Thank you to Ari Wright and team for trusting me to be apart of her team and for the opportunity to get an ARC of this book!
Okay but WHAT did I just read… because I’m still recovering in the best way 😭😂
This book has that soft, slightly whimsical, “lemme escape reality for a bit” vibe… but then casually throws you into a why-choose omegaverse with THREE giant alpha males (yes… all equipped… we’re not elaborating 🫣), plus wings AND tails?? Like excuse me??? There is A LOT happening and I ate it up.
The romance is a slow burn and not smooth sailing at all, but that’s what made it so good. The tension?? The angst?? The CHEMISTRY between Sofi, Zolkan, Rask, and Cylus?? Immaculate. Every single one of them brings their own emotional baggage to the table and somehow it just works.
Sofi though?? My girl really said “new world, who dis” and stayed true to herself the entire time. We love a grounded queen in absolute chaos. The banter had me smiling, but then the vulnerable moments?? Yeah… they hit.
And Rask… I fear that man owns a piece of my soul now. No notes. Obsessed.
ALSO THAT ENDING?? GIRLLLLLL… I’m not okay. Immediately starting the next book because I need answers and emotional stability.
If you want something a little different, soft, dreamy, a bit unhinged but still packed with feels, this one is 100% worth it 🤭✨
When I thought I was signing up for a pretty pastel sci-fi omegaverse read, I wasn't wrong...I just wasn't wholly ready for a read that would have me SCREAMING in excitement! OUT OF THIS WORLD was just so wholly fun and epic and unexpected in every way.
I haven't read much sci-fi or omegaverse tbh, but what I've read, I've loved. And OUT OF THIS WORLD is no exception - if anything, it's shooting to the top 5 for me. I seriously could not put it down for anything. Ari Wright has created such a good series, the likes of ICE PLANET BARBARIAN CULT FAME! Except that this one was so much better imo! It carries its humor and heart like a badge of honor 🤌🏻 and was executed so well that we were in on every joke and emotion reaped.
Sure it's a smutty little alien/monster romance but ITS. SO. MUCH. MORE.
The MMC's (Zolkan, Rask, Cylus) are all flawed in their own way, but underneath scales or fur they just truly want to believe in something bigger than themselves. Something unbreakable and destined by the Goddess herself - a love meant for them. And if that just doesn't make you melt?!!! And the way they all fall for our FMC (Sofi) is truly just so freaking sweet and every single one of them would rather d*e on their sword before ever bringing pain to their Omega. The way each of them connect to Sofi is so unique and in-character. It was easily one of the best parts of the story - they're all whole/developed characters with quirks and fears and hearts (or 2) that literally make you FEEL for them.
Girlies that love devotion - this story is for YOU! Just ugh, I want to hug them all and stay in this space case foreverrrr!
Out of this World is an alien omegaverse romance in a series of connected standalones. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author and Smuthood PR for my eArc.

Rating: 4/5 Stars 4/5 Flames Nicknames: My Heart, My Treasure, Little One
The Lovely: I loved the plot and context of the story - it was quirky and fun with enough substance to keep me reading. And oh boy (oh alien?) the FMC is funny. I loved her journey, especially as she learns who she is. The MMCs’ backgrounds and personalities were different enough that it was easy to keep them straight.
The Mundane: I felt like this book was pretty long for what was in the plot. There were a number of longer inner monologues and repetitive thoughts that seemed to low the pace of the story to a noticeable degree.
Recommendation: Omegaverse but through a sci-fi/alien lens was a fun switch up! While this story has a HEA for the main characters, the ending sets up (in a rather dramatic fashion) the next book in the series. If you are in the mood for a unique alien omegaverse romance with plenty of spice and scent, I think you’d like this book
If you liked Ice Planet Barbarians, you will LOVE Out Of This World! Thank you to The Smuthood and the Author for this wonderful arc! I could not put this book down. Out Of This World is a quadruple POV and tells the story of Sofi, a human who gets abducted by aliens and taken to an alien planet to be bred by the king and save the planet, but she gets a lot more than she bargained for.
This book was a really sweet, immersive romp that contained a lot of my favourite tropes. I loved how the characters grew and felt the emotions they felt. All the characters are wonderfully written and when they all finally come together… the hottest scene ever. I loved Rask so much. Zolkan was regal and Cylus was stoic, but Rask was hot and intense. I may have found my new book boyfriend (sorry Rhys). The world sounded so beautiful. Ari described it so well I felt like I was there. And those epilogues… I can't wait to read the next book!
This book was great. Be prepared to read it one sitting, because you won't be able to put it down. I need to make myself a Beam Me Up Daddy shirt!
5 out of 5 stars 5 out of 5 spicy peppers Memorable line: “Because you are pure starlight… Beautiful and warm and good.” Read this if you like: Paranormal romance, aliens, breeding, fated mates, found family, HEA, knots, omegaverse, touch her and die, why choose F*ck appears: 178 times Spicy chapters: 23, 34, 40, 41, 43, 44, 55, 59, 70, 73, 74, 75, 80
Out of This World is the first omega verse I have read that didn't include some sort of shifters, but was aliens instead. I was not ready for all the extra appendages and erogenous zones that were in play.
The plot in this book was excellent. There were a lot of balls to juggle (not in that way-get your mind out of the gutter) as this is the first in a new series and there was expectedly a lot of world building to do. It was all well thought out, and by the end of the book, I didn't have any questions about the other worlds/species that weren't (I assume) intentional lead ins to future books.
When you take away the new worlds/species, it's also just a darn good why choose romance. Sofi is an awesome character that is likable and a lot of fun. Zolkan is a broody type, Rask is more golden retriever energy and Cylus has that nerd hotness. Between the 3 guys, you have a favorite male lead for whatever you tend to go for. The way the 4 of them meld together seems to make for a pretty solid team. I enjoyed watching them dance around Sofi and their own desires before figuring out what they all needed.
Overall this is an excellent sci-fi romance. I am not a connoisseur of Omegaverse, but I have read a few, and this one fits in with the best of them as far as I can tell. I will definitely be following up with this series as it continues.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
I have zero chill when it comes to Ari Wright books and I started this one right when it dropped to my Kindle. (and it was pretty much all I did the whole day)
I was hooked from the start and loved the world Ari has created. Sofi was definitely a relatable character and I really enjoyed seeing her omega side develop. Her internal monologs and moments where she would break the fourth wall to talk to the reader were a lot of fun.
The Alphas were definitely the stars of the show! I loved how each one was different or from a different part of Khanos and the personality were so different. We have Zolkan who has a huge responsibility of being the Prime Alpha on his shoulders, Rask, who skirts the rules a little, and the grumpy Cylus who Sofi forces to be her friend. Seeing how the relationships developed individually and all together was the perfect balance of chemistry and tension. Even when I wanted to yell "just kiss already", I loved every minute of reading!
One of my favorite parts of the story was definitely learning the planet's history and all of the descriptions of the places we see! I could totally visualize the pinks, blues, and lavenders that Ari was describing but it wasn't so descriptive the story felt bogged down.
Overall, this was a super fun and unique story that not wanting to put down. I can't wait to see what comes next from this world!
Out of this world was definitely a new genre for me. I haven’t read anything like this before. First glance I loved the colorful cover is what drew me in first and I decided to give it a try after reading the tropes.
I feel for Sophie having to go through what she did and never feeling wanted and loved. Her personality I loved so much. She is a fighter and full of sass.
The alphas each had their own personalities. I enjoyed reading about their culture. I wish there was a bit more world building and more aliens involved in the overall story. Like aliens in the city/village getting to know Sophie since she will be queen etc. i felt like there was a lot of spice. Definitely 5/5 of spice but felt like that took up most of the story (especially the alphas trying to talk to themselves into not having a hard on) I would have liked to have more plot. Experiencing the planet more. More time between omega and alpha as just getting to know each other I felt like Rask had more one on one time getting to know Sophie.
Overall I enjoyed the characters. Cy and Zolkan were my favorites loved how nerdy Cy was and Zolkan being all grumpy then letting his walls fall down . I liked how in the end they all ended up working together to make their relationship work.
