What a truly gripping psychological thriller that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The author does an excellent job of building suspense, slowly unraveling the layers of the characters' lives and secrets. The plot twists are genuinely surprising and kept me guessing, which I always appreciate in this genre. My only minor critique is that some of the character motivations felt a little underdeveloped at times, but it didn't detract significantly from the impact of the story. If you're a fan of thrillers that mess with your mind, this one is definitely worth checking out.

3.5 stars rounded down. Enjoyed the multiple perspectives and the overall message of the story. I felt a bit nitpicky about some of the details of the story and would have found the story stronger if the villain of the story had a little more to him (better methods of covering up his tracks) but that's only due to my personal career in healthcare abuse and fraud. I don't always care for the way thrillers handle healthcare and mental health but found this did much better than most I have read.

From a local author!!!! Even though we knew the problem from the beginning, the author did a great job of providing twists and turns as well urgency throughout. She also did a great job showing the difficulties of mental health issues and the legal system.
