While visiting an old friend in Nashville, Tennessee, Jack Davenport learns of the kidnapping of young Sidney Kane from a water park. "Los Ninos del Mundo" a worldwide network who exploit children for prostitution, drug transport, and slavery are believed to be the target. When Davenport learns that a dirty FBI agent could be the culprit, Director Jack Tulley seeks help and Harry Kincaid, a soldier of fortune from Oceanic Import-Export, is called in. But is it enough?
The author writes a fictional story about child trafficking that had me believing this particular story was true at times. I still wonder!
It's intricately written with many characters Good/bad/FBI/CIA/corruption--it's all packed in this book
Little Sidney Kane was abducted by a man in a water park. Nobody knew or saw him and the camera footage was too grainy to show much that happened
In steps a "do good" guy who had a relative recently abducted and was happily found & returned so he's paying it forward by helping the young couple get their girl back by offering up $1M dollars for information
There's also a clandestine company made up of ex-military men who call themselves Oceanic import -export. They don't play by "the rules"
The FBI helps the police when phone calls help them to find people dead & alive that help them piece together who the man is that abducted the girl
The manhunt begins!! It's fast paced action, very convincing ( although I realize this happens in real life but this is fiction) & some levity all thrown in at appropriate timing
The book gave me goosebumps at times. This is a high quality book written expertly
I received this book in Goodreads giveaway in return for an honest review
Highly recommend esp. If you like action, good writing & a great story that's too believable
