This graphic novel features six of the best Commando tank stories ever.
Get ready for action! Hand-picked in association with The Tank Museum, this rip-roaring collection of six classic Commandos features all things tanks! From the muddy frontlines of the First World War, when the monstrous, metal beasts first rolled onto the battlefield, terrifying the Germans, to the skies of World War Two with tanks dropping down into battle from gliders!
Including 400 pages of action-packed artwork from legendary comic artists like Keith Burns, John Ridgway and Ian Kennedy!
Featured in this collection: Tiger, Tiger Matilda on the March Ironhide Frank the Tank Valentines’ Day
One of the few times I allow the child within me to reemerge is when I spy a Commando comic (or a bunch of them). Some are bland, some are good, a couple can even be great. It's reliably entertaining stuff, with great illustrations even if the plots are all done to death. This one, curated by the good folks at Commando with help from the good folks down at The Tank Museum in Bovington, features six different tanks from the World Wars (with the best artwork being in the issue titled "Ironhide", though I do like me a Matilda), which makes for a somewhat different experience each time, including a rather funny, almost maddening scenario.
