What a Roller Coaster ride
3.25⭐️
I found this book recommendation on FB and I will say I enjoyed the read over all! This book gave me many feelings. I wanted both P and Bodhi to work so bad however I’m not sure how I feel about the ending. There were way to many red flags that were by passed and honestly i really wish the outcome was a little different!
A few things that were slightly off to me was the time jumps. The first 10 chapters or so there was a time jump. From a year, 6 months and few weeks. When Porsalyn birthday was mentioned and they said she was 22 I made a note to go back and calculate because she should have been a little older. ( I still need to confirm that).
Porsalyn was too green for me with her situation with Kamari. Him into illegal dealing or not, my man is not bout to go missing for weeks with only texting and I’ll be okay with it! The facts that he was still conflicted with her and his WIFE was telling! I don’t think that Keyaira was her true friend because brother or not if I know he dogging MY BEST FRIEND I’m telling!
Bodhi not only picked Erica over P but also Maya too! The ending where she showed up at the wedding BEGGING for him to pick her girl BFFR! Bodhi would be DEAD to me!
Lastly I do think her mom situation was kinda brush off. It was like she was getting beat up by her boyfriend in chapter one and then boom chapter 12 my mom was clean for 6 month but also a year and some change passed ( according to them time jumps). Plus we haven’t heard anything about her since P left the house in Chapter one- so I feel like we could have gotten a few more details of their relationship!! This book stressed me TF out but I did enjoy it! I will say i do look forward to reading more from this author.

This was my first time reading a cheating trope and I can confidently say that I did NOT like it. Nonetheless I’ll still review the actual story and writing.
The book started off really strong, matter of fact, it was an excerpt shared in a FB group from an early chapter than made me instantly borrow from KU and read. There was certainly a lot of dramatic and shocking moments that were entertaining. But also frustrating and almost embarrassing to read sometimes because the thought process of these two main characters were juvenile.
The author managed to take us through the trenches child. Some very messy but realistic scenarios folks could find themselves wrapped up in. Very realistic outcomes unfortunately and so I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a good story.
My reason for 3 stars and what I considered cons TO ME:
1. Why is the book cover a brown woman but the FMC was distinctly described as a light skinned woman. Features described seems almost light hispanic.
2. The cheating trope was almost more than a trope, it was a lifestyle of almost everyone in this book and at a certain point it just felt ridiculous (the character’s thought process)
3. Some moments of the book and writing felt repetitive. It was a multiple POV book (which I enjoy) but I noticed the same thoughts and rationals of characters were being regurgitated to us in multiple chapters.
4. There were a lot of time jumps and I think the author could have fleshed out the stories more, the characters more, etc

Speechless
Tinder bout you!!!!!! This title described this book perfect ly. I went through so many emotions while reading this book. It's going to talk at your heart strings and have you yelling at this book because it took me on a real bad emotional roller coaster. Don't punch did this author has packed in his book you would not believe it. Bodhi porslyn Erica Maya kamari just remember this because they going to have you piss the mess off. I'm very upset with bodhi and the choose he made in this book. porslyn is my girl but these men took her through it... Erica and Maya Lord Jesus Christ. All I'm going to say is that bodhi really needed to open his eyes in this book when it came to those two. Please grab this book ASAP.

A rollercoaster of emotions!
This book had me emotionally exhausted from
Beginning to end but in a good way. The FMC kept getting caught in situations that make you happy for her, mad, frustrated, happy again, annoyed with her and every time you think things can’t get messier, they do. Loving people who don’t fully choose you, unspoken feelings, bad timing, and regret layered on top of each other took me in a rollercoaster ride.
I couldn’t put this down because the emotions never let up. I was rooting for her, mad for her, and hurting right along with her the entire time. Pure romance

16 Measly Pages
16 Pages! Of the 218 pages of this book 16 pages is show many we got to “experience” the couple together. The entire book he chose everyone over her consistently, broke her heart and disrespected her. The book did not have a proper swoon or begging montage or resolution. He did not love her. He did not earn her trust. This is by far is one of the worst lovers to friends books I’ve ever read.
Pro tip: if a man chooses to destroy your heart twice, he hates you!
It got 2 stars because it was grammatically correct and timeline was decent.

Messy!!
Whew… This book is full of emotional tension, complicated relationships, and ignored red flags. Porsalyn is a strong, hardworking heroine whose resilience stands out, even when the choices made around her are frustrating. The drama and back & forth keep the story engaging, and the ending offers satisfying closure.

When I tell you this had me on a emotional roller-coaster I mean it. This about love,lies, deceit and pure confusion. The characters were very vindictive and just simply people who were doing things selfishly. I enjoyed this book though. Definitely was very relatable. Cant wait to see what else you have in your pen, Nique.

emotional roller-coaster Porsyln and Brodhi will definitely take you on a ride. Their indecisiveness about each other made me want to drink. Porsyln was so unlucky with love and Khmari deserved worse to happen to him he got off lucky. and Brodhi was gullible and immature. I did like the ending would have liked a little more about what happened between him divorcing and the end.

Loved!
This book was so good. My emotions were on a rollercoaster the whole way through. I really enjoyed this read and fell in love with the characters. A few I wanted to take their heads off but overall I truly enjoyed it!!

Consequences
Actions have consequences. Kamari was a trip. He was low down, dirty and selfish. I wish there had been more consequences for Maya for her manipulative ways. But they got their HEA.

What a roller-coaster!!
This book gave me palpitations the entire time I was reading it. It's one of my favorite tropes and I knew what was going to happen, but still. I love how strong P is, and it irritated me how stupid Brohdy was. It was a quick read and I loved it.

oooooh the DRAMA!
This book was soooo messy, I screamed so many times. Nique really created a 5 star messy read. Lies, duplicity, cheating, fake pregnancies and a confrontation of a lifetime! I’m officially a fan!

Listen! The drama is a plenty!!! I lost all my edges! It’s always an issue when best friends of the opposite sex exist. In theory it’s seen as they are a perfect match so of course they want to be together or SHOULD be together. But is that always true? Catch this train and go along for the ride!

Bodhi and Porslyn worried my nerves. This book has a lot of emotional tension, vindictive characters, complicated relationships, and red flags galore. Overall, this book was so good. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I wanted to grab Bodhi by the neck and slap some sense into him, but he needed to go through the trials to get his prize.
