GAMBLE - Part One

Oh my...what a sexy and intense fantastic start to a new series! Now I don't usually like these cliffhanger type novellas and I hate to be left screaming at my kindle "WHAT???"...but when I was given the chance to read this one free from an author who I have already read and liked (her MMA books are good)...I had to give it a try.
I was totally pulled in from the very first few pages when Lila is basically given away by her BF in a bet in Vegas...it was an OMG moment and then what happens next was funny, steamy and totally what "I" would have done given the circumstances. =)
We see Lila and Chase have one night turn into something almost unreal and encounter many people in the course of a few days who play roles in his world of celebrity and it actually made me feel uncomfortable and feel for poor trusting Lila.
The story is full of romance but underneath it all there is a mystery, a sense of unease and a feeling that something might not be just right...after all, when it seems too good to be true, isn't it usually so?
Maybe, maybe not...but whatever is really going on between Lila and the devilishly handsome poker player "player" who she is swept into an exciting adventure with, you have to read to find out.
I loved this twisty novella (just wish it had been longer) and I can't wait for the next one because OMG...how it ends was crazy!

Now if you want quick connection this is one for you as here we meet Professional Poker Player Chase who is playing with Harrison (Harry) who had brought his girlfriend Lila, who is there because Harry says that he's going to win to give them the money, that is until he's the last one with Chase who says that as Harry hasn't hit enough money to up the next wager that he'll have one night with Lila who he hasn't a clue about except that he wants her body. Lila can't believe it and tells Harry to say NO, but Harry doesn't care as he thinks he's going to win but did that also mean he doesn't care about her.
So guess what he looses and that was the last straw for Lila as she's known for a while that he wasn't for her. She at first seems very strong telling Chase she wasn't going to have sex with him but I tell you what that was the quickest turn about I've ever seen as, as soon as he goes down on her and gives her the BEST orgasm she's had in months or should I say ever
He convinces her to stay even though she said to herself that she was going to find a cheap hotel until her flight back home.
Lila becomes quite obsessive very quickly as she becomes jealous when he's talking to an ex Denise.
That night he asks her not to go to stay do they can get to know each other better, which she does & they do have such a sexual connection that she suggests for them to spend the whole day in the suite naked

I mean honestly, what would you do if your boyfriend gambled you away as part of a poker bet? This is exactly what happens to the main character Lila. Her gambling addicted boyfriend is in the midst of a play when the other player offers up an enticing bet--"if you win you get the pot, if I win I get the girl". Not believing for a second what she's hearing she's dumbfounded when her boyfriend agrees, thinking it's a sure win. However, his gamble doesn't pay off and not only does he lose his money, but unbeknownst to him, he has just officially lost his girlfriend.
All of this unfolds in just the first couple of pages and the rest of the book sucks you right in! I loved how the book started off and just hooked me right away. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat as you quickly turn the pages desiring to see what comes next. There are many things that happened where I was like "Oh I did not see that one coming!" I love when I get that feeling from reading a book and I immediately looked in to the rest of the Gamble series. Lucky readers can either read it in parts or the entire thing in the book Betrayal. Either way you won't be disappointed!!

I love when I get that feeling from reading a book and I immediately looked in to the rest of the Gamble series. Lucky readers can either read it in parts or the entire thing in the book Betrayal. Either way you won't be disappointed!!

Gamble-Part 1 by Aubrey St.Clair is a fun and fast paced story. Sexy and Yumming too. Warning though, it has a cliffhanger at the end.
Meet Lila Hunter, unemployed and in a relationship she is unsure of, so when her boyfriend Harrison invites her to go for a weekend trip to Vegas, she thinks why not, maybe they can work out their problems and have fun at the same time.
When Harrison joins in a high stakes poker game more than money is at stake. He went and agreed to have Lila be the prize, thinking he couldn't lose so why not. The stranger, Chase Anderson, who has decided if he wins he gets the girl. Sound fair right? nope. Harrison loses and now Lila is dumbfounded, wth just happened.
Frustrated for Harry losing and decides she has had enough, she agrees to go with the handsome, sexy Chase Anderson for the rest of the weekend. What could go wrong..
The chemistry between Chase and Lila is heating up and more intense than she could ever imagine. When Chase asks Lila to stay longer, she is torn, should she or not..
Well come along for the ride to find out. I'm not telling, haha. Aubrey St. Clair rocks it with this one and I can't wait to see what happens next..

Lila and her boyfriend Harrison leave Canada to go to Vegas to spend some quality time together, or so she thinks. Harrison, dumb as a box of rocks, has gambling problems. He makes the biggest bet of his life against a man he has no business betting against. That man is Chase. Gorgeous, sexy, mysterious and way out of Harrison's league. Chase has many adoring fans as well as an adoring, if not persistent, ex-girlfriend. Lila, beautiful and trusting, with obviously the wrong boyfriend, begins to experience more things in one week than in her entire life. All, of course, out of her comfort zone.
This book has an original storyline with lots of HOT, STEAMY SCENES and many twists and turns. Very smooth, no rough patches. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER ! Just when I thought I had it figured out, it threw me for a loop. A very big loop. WOW ! I did not see that coming.
I NEED PART 2 NOW ! I CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE OF THEIR STORY !

Don't ask me why I'm giving this a five.
Just know, though there really hot sex, there is really suspense that has me anticipating book 2. I don't know that I feel any love connection, but there is certainly some serious heat. I'm more interested in what the hell is going on, and that ridiculously intriguing cliffhanger. So book 2 needs to like come out NOW

This was a great read I fell in love with the characters. Never read any books by this author but I'm definitely going to start reading more. This was a good book definitely have to pick up the other books to this series (:

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was an interesting read. The interactions between all the characters is smooth. It's funny how Chase and Lila meet and then how quickly things can be misinterpreted. Curious to see what happens next.

Very interesting, I kept waiting for something to happen and then it did..So much not said leaving me to think "what is going on?". Can't wait to read part 2 & 3.
