Beautiful work from some talented young authors! Reviewing the ones I've read so far:
- The Christmas Postman by Clive Farnsley is so charming and funny! The holiday atmosphere is palpabale—I could practically feel the snow falling—and the plot spins classic fantasy elements, like a troll guarding a bridge, in creative ways. It's adult fantasy, but would be a fun family read-aloud with kids as well!
- Cerulean Blue by Kayleigh Fan pulled me in immediately—a great balance between endearing characters and a world that feels vivid and feels richly imagined beyond the scope of a short story. I would read an entire novel set in this world (pretty please, Kayleigh?)
- The Room that Could Be Mine by LilyJun Hedrick beautifully juxtaposes classic, nostalgic childhood imagery—like tin can telephones—with heavier elements of kids' mental health, which she addresses in a sensitive and manageable way for a young audience. I think a lot of children who feel "less than" for being afraid will feel seen by this one <3
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!
I loved this book. First of all, the cover drew me in. I needed to open it and read. Just beautifully crafted. The stories - I was taken aback by the professionalism of Kayleigh Fan, one of the writers featured in this Anthology. Kayleigh's short story, entitled Cerulean Blue was crafted brilliantly. I am looking forward to reading the other author's stories, but Cerulean Blue deserved a special mention because of the style of writing. The author truly loved writing, she has a gift for putting words together to make you feel and see inside the character's lives. I am looking forward to reading more stories from this author.

I loved this book so much! Each of the stories were wonderfully written and had so much thought and care put into them! I cant wait to see what other books these authors will inevitably put out!
A beautiful collection of stories! Each of these stories contains so much heart and creativity, and I loved seeing just how much depth each of the authors was able to weave into just a few short pages. I fell in love with each of the characters and loved seeing the authors' individual voices shine through on the page. I can't wait to read the full length stories these authors go on to write!
