The momentum of the first book falls off and by the second half we are slogging through a swamp of filler text desperately trying to avoid falling into the plot holes.

The dead hardly spoke nowadays, save for the mindless Undead.

the growing sensation of being weightless, the receding air of the cave weighing down his shoulders

The adventuring party of three:
she'd become a pitiful follower ... the man was a Surgemaster. The other one was an Undead who could remember things.

Could not finish. So slow, barely anything happening. And with how long it's been since last book almost forgotten everything that happened and book just throws you into the deep end.

Nothing in the story has kept my interest and I've tried to keep it going before giving up a quarter of the way in. Disappointed as the first book was interesting enough for me for me to rate it highly in comparison.

A great sequel. Good worldbuilding and lots of action. I'd recommend the book for anyone looking for a unique twist on LitRPG and a wide, intricate world. The characters were great, especially the Templars. I hope we see more of them in the following books!

Strong second book of the series. World more detalied and more layered this time. While serie continute its reveals author had bigger vision in mind.

Good action, great MC and side characters and deep plot. This book raises expectations about series.

Another fun book, sadly, the book after this won't be done for some time. A lot of world-building in this one (past worlds included), no romance (the hero needs a girlfriend at some point). Good action, and generally a fun read. Nice job!
