The Parent App #3

Second Bloom

Rate this book
She's been looking for the right man her entire life.
Everyone knows who it is—except her.

Single mom Esme Taylor doesn't do risk. Not anymore. She runs her flower shop in the small coastal town of Willet Cove, raises two kids, and never again depends on a man who might leave when things get hard.

But there's one man she lets close.

Grady Nash has been her best friend for five years. He fixes what breaks, shows up when she calls, and loves her kids unconditionally. He feels like everything she needs.

Which is exactly the problem.

Because Grady runs a surf shop, lives simply, and seems content with very little. To Esme—who needs security, stability, a man with a future—he looks like everything she can't afford to risk.

What she doesn't know is that Grady is hiding a past so toxic, he'll do anything to keep it from touching her life.

A past that comes with a fortune he's never claimed. A scandal that destroyed everything he was. And a truth that—if it ever surfaces—could bring danger and scrutiny crashing down on the family he's sworn to protect.

When buried feelings force them past the safety of friendship, Esme must decide if she can trust the man who's been lying to her for years.

And Grady must choose between the life he's built in the shadows—or risking everything, including her safety, for the love he's never stopped wanting.

Because some secrets are kept to protect the people we love.
And some will test whether love is strong enough to survive the truth.

A clean and wholesome friends-to-lovers romance set in a small coastal town from USA Today Bestselling author Tess Thompson.

Tess Thompson Romance...hometowns and heartstrings.

Tess Thompson is the USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author of contemporary and historical Romantic Women’s Fiction with over 60 published titles. When asked to describe her books, she could never figure out what to say that would perfectly sum them up until she landed on, Hometowns and Heartstrings.

She’s married to her prince, Best Husband Ever, and is the mother of their blended family of four kids and five cats. Best Husband Ever is seventeen months younger, which qualifies Tess as a Cougar, a title she wears proudly. Her Bonus Sons are young adults with pretty hair and big brains like their dad. Daughters, better known as Princess One and Two, are teenagers who make their mama proud because they’re kind. They’re also smart, but a mother shouldn’t brag.

Tess loves lazy afternoons watching football, hanging out on the back patio with Best Husband Ever, reading in bed, binge-watching television series, red wine, strong coffee and walks on crisp autumn days. She laughs a little too loudly, never knows what to make for dinner, looks ridiculous kickboxing in an attempt to combat her muffin top, and always complains about the
rain even though she chose to live in Seattle.

She’s proud to have grown up in a small town like the ones in her novels. After graduating from the University of Southern California Drama School, she had hopes of becoming an actress but was called instead to writing fiction. She’s grateful to spend most days in her office matchmaking her characters while her favorite cat Mittens (shhh…don’t tell the others) sleeps on the desk.

She adores hearing from readers, so don’t hesitate to say hello or sign up for her newsletter:

efforts.

Much to her father’s horror, you can find her everywhere on social media.

The Parent App series by Tess Thompson is so much fun. Five young teens who realize that someday they are all going to grow up, move away and begin their own lives and their five single moms are going to be all alone. So they do the perfectly logical thing: pretend to be their mothers and sign up for a dating app. Perfectly logical except those moms aren’t too happy when they find out. Going through the series as they refine the profiles they submit, screen possible dating matches and then push hard when they think they’ve found ‘the one’ was delightful. The dating app is an accepted, done deal by now in Second Bloom; two moms have found their perfect match (sometimes re-found) and are working on their happy-ever-afters. Two moms still don’t want any part of it. But Esme knows the man she really loves, who is her best friend and often front and center in their lives, sadly isn’t a good candidate for long-term and all the responsibility that entrails – and she’s positive he doesn’t feel the same about her - so she reluctantly agrees to start dating. Robbie presents an almost perfect match and the date is set. And true to form Robbie also does a little magic behind the scenes.

Esme’s life is hard. Very hard. The decision to divorce her ex-husband Jeff was the right one; he was cruel, critical and unreliable and still is. His expectations and treatment of Robbie were the last straw, but his consistent non-payment of child support keeps Esme struggling every single day and relying on the kindness of her friends much more often than she likes. She’s a wonderful mother to Robbie and Madison and creative and talented in running her flower shop, but she’s barely making ends meet. Her parents are willing to help – IF, big if – she’ll come home, get a sensible job, listen to more ‘I told you so’s’ and accept what a failure she is; marrying Jeff was the wrong decision and divorcing him was equally wrong. She can’t win with them.

Grady – aka the not-so-secret love of Esme’s life – is laid back, runs the surf shop and lives in what can only be called a little hut. They are such good friends and so compatible, always there for each other. And we know what Esme doesn’t: Grady feels the same as she does and would do anything for her. He helps as much and as often as he can, but Grady has a big secret about his past. He wants to be seen as himself, not a reminder of who his father was or what he did, so he hasn’t shared that secret with anyone. But, like secrets usually do, it comes out and must be dealt with. And it’s risky.

Author Thompson does her usual extraordinary job of presenting a real-life story with real people and real problems that will pull you in and not let you go. There’s lots of sunshine and good feelings, happy mischievous, precocious teenagers and their siblings, the five moms who have become family, the beautiful town of Willet Cove with its charming shops and restaurants and interesting people. But Thompson always also shows us the darker side, the ugly behavior of some people, problems that seem insurmountable and feelings that are fully adult with all that comes with that.

Second Bloom is an engaging, enjoyable read. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry, but if you aren’t almost sobbing at Robbie’s best man speech then you’re just not paying attention. All of the kids are terrific, but Robbie is really special. He is such a brave little man. He’s different, possibly (probably ) on the spectrum but that doesn’t make him a weird freak although he is often treated that way, including by his father. He’s also brilliant, determined, sometimes a little difficult to get along with because he is so literal but his heart is pure gold. He deserves all the love and every opportunity that can possibly be made available to him.

I received an advance copy of Second Bloom from the author as part of her Tessers Review Crewsters team. It tugged at my heart, almost breaking it, warming it, making it speed up and take a hopeful breath. I thoroughly enjoyed it as I do everything Tess Thompson writes. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see where those loving teens and that dating app go next. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

Second Bloom by Tess Thompson is book three of The Parent App. When I first read the premise for her new series, I knew I had to read it. I wasn’t wrong. I am so glad that I am reading this series. It is fun, heartwarming, romantic and takes place in a small beach town named Willet Cove. You know how I love small towns. What could be better than that? Nothing!

This one is about Esme Taylor. She is one of the five friends whose kids have signed them up for a dating app. She is the one who has two children and owns the flower shop in town and lives upstairs. She is divorced and has a best friend named Grady Nash. They’ve been friends for 5 years. I thought I knew where this book was going. Not so. It takes some sharp left turns and a few gradual right turns until we find out what is going to happen. As usual, I am not going to ruin the book for you. You’re going to have to read it and get all the pleasure yourself.

I think these are the perfect books to curl up with and just enjoy going along for the ride. I love a book that just lets me enjoy the story without having to figure anything out. These books are perfect for that. They bring me so much enjoyment, peace from the world around me and the fun of living another romance.

If you are like me and love small town romance or small town anything, you will love this book and series. If you haven’t started it yet, I don’t know what you are waiting for. Go pick up this series and this book and start giving yourself some relaxation. Make sure you put them on your nightstand. They are the perfect way to end your day. Until next time…Happy Reading!

I have loved every book in this series and couldn't wait for Grady and Esme to find their happily ever after, and Ms. Thompson didn't disappoint. While the best of friends and being willing to do anything for the other, they both have realized that they will never be more than friends. She needs someone with a steady job who is reliable becasue she has two children. She has seen him go from woman to woman and have a seasonal job. She just doesn't see how he can provide for a family, so even though she wants nothing more than to be with him, especially since he loves her kids and vice versa, she starts dating.

Grady is in love with Esme and has been since the beginning. Unfortunately, a horrible past keeps him from believing he is good enough for her. He loves her kids and would do anything for any of them, and when she has a date he realizes he is losing time and will have to find a way to survive seeing her with other men. As they are watching t.v. a special news announcement comes on and he completely changes.

The secret he has been keeping is truly horrible, but it is about his dad, and he distanced himself as soon as the truth came out. She feels like he lied to her and she doesn't know if she can forgive him. There are a lot of obstacles they have to overcome to be together. I loved the relationship he had with her kids and Robbie was fantastic.

I love these sweet romances and look forward to the last two moms to find love. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Some say love is blind and in the story of Esme and Grady this is so true. Except everyone else sees the longing looks that the two give each other. This is book 3 of the series The Parent App. Two have found love thanks to their meddling teens and so divorced Esme, mother of two decided maybe the kids had the right idea putting up their mom’s profile on a dating app. Unfortunately Esme heart is engaged elsewhere, the local free spirited beach bum and also a great friend. Grady is always there when she needs a friend or help with the kids and the kids love hanging out with Grady. He’s just not husband material, she is definitely will not make that mistake again. The kids deserve better, but living barely day to day has left Esme with only one choice. Even though it will break her heart, it’s the best decision for the kids. Or is it?
Grady is living the good life. Living in a beach shack and running the local surf shop. One thing would make it better, but hiding from his past has left Grady undeserving of love. Namely Esme and the kids. When the past rears its ugly head and he needs to face it head on, will it also be a solution to his HEA?
Once again a wholesome, clean romance with lovable characters that really hits the mark with the struggles of being a single mom. Thank you to the author for this ARC. All opinions expressed are truly my own.

Esme has an ex-husband who wants nothing to do with her or their children. Her son is 14 but extremely smart and his father does not understand that he may not be like other children but is a smart boy. And he has no patience with their young daughter, who is just a little girl. She is trying to support them with her flower shop but it hasn’t always been easy. Grady has come to live in their little community to escape his father’s illegal actions. He wants nothing more to do with the man. He loves to surf and has a little surf shop and that is enough for him. But he has connected with Esme and her children as well as some of her friends. He likes Esme but does not feel he can be the right man for her. Esme like Grady but after her ex-husband, she is not very trusting of many men. Yet these two seem to made for each other. As they begin to try to work through their relationship, things keep happening that affect their ability to find a relationship. It is a wonderful story of these two and how they work through the issues with the help of Esme’s children and their mutual friends. Sometimes it is hard to trust people and feel that you are the best for that person. Throw in a great dog that loves all of these people and you have a wonderful story.

This is the third book in The Parent App series. Esme loves Grady but knows he doesn't see her as anything but a friend. He's a beach bum, a surf instructor and secretly in love with Esme. She's barely scraping by with her flower shop, and needs stability for her two children, not a third child to care for. So she agrees to a date from the Second Chance app after her son shows her that she and the sweet pediatrician are 97% compatible. Then suddenly both Esme and Grady each face misfortunes, stresses and the need to make major changes in their lives. Can they find a way to each other? I found this book slightly less appealing than the previous two books, mostly because of the emphasis that Esme put on money. But I did love getting to know Robbie better. He and Grady were the highlights of the book for me. I do recommend this book. Tess Thompson knows how to draw readers right into the scene. I also recommend the very amusing 99 cent prequel, called Second Act, which introduces all the characters and sets the premise for the series. I received an ARC of this book, and this review is my honest opinion.

The Parent App series has me hooked. All people that the readers are introduced to in the first book in the series are present and participating in each subsequent story. I truly enjoy each and every one of the characters that have been introduced thus far. Their compassion and kindness is what everyone in this world should strive for. Esme and Grady’s story is one of a kind. They both believe that they are unlike each other but in reality, they are very much the same. It was so enjoyable getting to learn more about Madison and Robbie’s personalities as this story progressed. The love that each of them have for each other is admirable. How will Esme trust Grady after she learns the secret he has been hiding from her since they met? She also needs to provide for her children and money constraints are taking a toll on her. Decisions need to be made. Where does she go from here? I highly recommend this book to all. You definitely will NOT be disappointed! Thank you to 4Kids5Cats Publishing for an early review copy at my request. All thoughts are my own and freely shared.

Second Bloom-
In the third installment of this series we learn more about Grady and Esme’s past and what their future holds for each other.

Esme is a single mom of two and flower shop owner trying to make ends meet and support her two kids. Her ex husband is no help and nine months behind on child support. Anytime she tells him about the kids and needing money he is still job searching.

Grady on the other hand escaped LA for a more simpler life. He owns a surf shop and lives in a small shack. He does however adore Esme and her kids. He wishes he can do more for them after Esme’s daughter breaks her arm at school and her son Robbie gets into a prestigious Stem school for the summer.

Grady while over at Esme’s one night while watching TV learns about the death of his father who was a very awful person. Grady has to face his past and return to LA and find out what was in his father’s will.

Will he, Esme and her kids he set for life or be stuck in the life they are in struggling?

Loved the story.

This is the 3rd book in the Parent App series by Tess Thompson and it wasn’t disappointing at all. You can read it as a stand alone, but it better if you have read the other books in the series including the preview where it talks about how all of this started. This is a clean, beautiful romance about people having second chances at finding love.

Esme Taylor was burned badly by her ex, so now as the kids are getting older she has standards for who she wants to date. The main one is picking someone who will never leave. She is fine in taking her time, making memories with her kids, have fun with the girl squad and hanging out with her best friend, Grady Nash. But all that changes when Grady’s past comes into the picture and Esme realizes that maybe her best friend can be the man she has been looking for all this time.

Thanks to 1852 Media and the author for giving me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I’ve loved every book in this series, and this latest installment is no exception. All the books center around 5 single mom best friends..and their kids - who decide to create dating profiles for their moms. The first two books did involve men the moms met (or reconnected with) on the dating app. But Esme & Grady’s story is different….they’ve been best friends for 5 years, and already operate like a little family, without the romance. Grady runs a surf shop, teaches lessons & lives in a basic beach shack. After her ex-husband left her and the kids high & dry, Esme feels like she needs stability and someone with more ambition in her life, so she agrees to meet a guy from the app. Grady stays with the kids while she goes out with a perfectly nice doctor. But she’d rather be home with Grady. Can these two finally admit that they are actually perfect for each other? Tess Thompson writes a delightful story to get us all where we want to be…with a happily ever after for these two.

Second Bloom (The Parent App Book 3)
By: Tess Thompson

5 Stars

Esme is the single mom to Robbie and Madison. Being put on a dating app was not her idea of a fun time, but her friends did it. So, why not try it? But her close friendship with Grady complicates things, at first, but with a little help, love may just bloom after all.

I have loved this series from the start. Sometimes you can get swept in quickly and then sometimes you just want to savor the story. Savor the feelings. I have wanted to see more of Robbie since the first scheming with the dating app began. These kids in this story are amazing. They really bring such a brightness and innocence to this thing called life. Esme and Grady are both complex characters with faults and lives that are beautifully melded in this love story.

I loved this story and it is a great add to an already beautiful series. Tess did it once again with grace, love, and friendship.

Second Bloom us a fantastic read. This one pulls at the heart so much. This is book 3 in the Parent App series. Esme is a single mom of 2 adorable kids. I love her stubborn independence and protective nature. She runs her own flower shop and you feel her struggles. Grady is a surf instructor who appears to have this carefree life style. But there is so much more to him and I love everything that comes out. Grady and Esme are best friends who hold a few things back from each other. You get the whys and root for these stubborn fools. I love how Grady is with Esmes kids so much. He melts your heart with his sweet and understanding side. He doesn't treat the kids as different but just as the beautiful souls they are. The chemistry is fantastic as they slowly change their relationship. I could not put this down. I cannot wait for more to come. You need to one click this today.

Book 3. While this small town friends to lovers story starts off strong, it went disappointingly downhill fast for me. I really like this seres, thought single mom/Esme with 2 great kids was the perfect match for Grady. (Grady 😍). You'd think they were already married the way their lives have blended together so well over the last 3 years. However...the story takes a turn and Esme gave me the "ick" feeling. Esme becomes overwhelmed financially. Without coming clean to Grady, she quickly sidelines him. He only gives surfing lessons, he can't rescue her from her money woes.

The story has a few twists here and Esme's feelings make a fast turn around. Professions of love abound once Esme's financial issues get takes care of. Now that she can spend someone else's money, she couldn't be happier. It's all hearts and flowers and I do's. Blah!

This is a truly lovely story with a wonderful cast of characters. It makes you wish that you had such a great group of friends and that you lived among supportive townspeople just like these. Esme and Grady are lucky in that regard. They are close friends who are unaware of their feelings for each other, although everyone else seems to know. Grady is running away from his past so he hasn't shared all his secrets with Esme. She is a single mother of two great kids, struggling to make ends meet and give them what they need. Grady is what they all need, but neither she nor Grady recognize this at first. He's so good with her kids. Her son Robbie is wise beyond his years and he talks sense into both of them. The writing is beautiful and descriptive. I particularly enjoyed the ending.

Tenderhearted story in The Parent App series by Tess Thompson.
Esme is a single mom of two. Her son is a true genius but he thought making a profile on a dating app for his mom and her friends was a good idea. It might work for her friends but Esme has already found her choice. Problem, he’s all wrong! Grady is a “Peter Pan” surfer who also teaches it, lives in a shack and dates bikini clad females.
He’s her best friend and is great with her kids, but doesn’t want to settle down. Nobody here knows he comes from wealth, also that his father is in prison.
They both are in love but think a relationship between them is impossible so they refuse to acknowledge their feelings.

Robbie and Madison are the heroes!
This instalment of The Parent App series delivers a full range of emotions. Esme is determined to show a strong, independent spirit, but is suddenly overwhelmed with her children’s needs. Despite this, and her feelings for Grady, she recognizes his lifestyle isn’t suitable for her children and hesitates to rely on him for stability, even when his circumstances change drastically. This novel emphasises the value of the supportive friendships Esme and her friends have developed over the years. I considered Robbie’s pedantic approach to be an absolute delight and Madison’s spontaneity is endearing. I received an advanced copy from the author, and this review is my honest opinion.

It was hard to walk with Esme Taylor through her financial issues. She's a single parent who owns a flower shop, which she enjoys. But she's struggling to provide for her 6 yr old Maddison, and genius teenager Robbie. A hospital expense is the last straw, so she tries out the dating app that has been created. Grady Nash is a surf shop owner, and a close friend to the Taylor family. Unfortunately he's not responsible enough for Esme to consider, and he feels unworthy of her love. Then Grady's father dies, and his true background is revealed. This is another heartwarming story in the series. As always, the children are stars. Robbie is odd and different, yet his brilliance is shown as an asset and something to be encouraged.

This is the latest entry in the Small Town Beach Romance and even if you haven't read the previous books it makes a wonderful standalone, HEA read. Esme and Grady are so incredibly suited to each other it's ridiculous, but this doesn't stop them from not opening up to each other about their feelings. Esme, as a single mum with 2 children (who are my favourite parts of the story), has been burnt by a deadbeat husband before and as much as she loves Grady she has to do the responsible, adult thing and look for a provider for her family. I understand some readers being turned off by this, it does have a feeling of gold-digger. Honestly though, what single mother wouldn't want a guy who give her family security?

The Parent App series gets better with every new book. Second Bloom, the third book in series, had me hooked with first page.
Those teenagers started pairing their moms with compatible men and have been right.
Without them nothing would happen. I just adore them. This story about Esme and Grady wasn’t an exception.
I love Robbie, the phenomenal genius and his six years old quirky sister Maddison! They are so special adorable kids who want only the best for their mom, and want real family. Without them the romance story of stubborn adults would have been pale. It’s so colourful now. Friends to lovers. Perfect story. I suggest to read the whole series in order though you can read it as standalone.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. You won't want to put it down!
Esme and Grady took their time coming together. Esme is a struggling single mom of a precious girl and a boy genius. Grady owns the surf shak and teaches surfing lessons to get by. Little did anyone know, Grady came from money and came to live on the beach to escape the ruin his father left when he got caught and sent to jail.
Esme and Gray's story is so beautiful and well written. As a single parent, we always want to find someone who will love our kids for who they are and accept them as they come. Finding love in the mab who has been by your side as your best friend for years is a blessing.
This story has so much love, some loss, and an amazing ending. I didn't want it to end.

A beautifully written story about 2 people finding their way. Throw in a beach, ocean waves and some great kids, and you can't help but love every moment.

Esme's upbringing left her somewhat torn. She has always felt like she's made too many mistakes and has been a failure. Her biggest successes came from one of those mistakes though. They are named Robbie and Madison. She may be in survival mode and financially strapped but she would do anything for her kids. Even sacrifice her own happiness.

Grady lives an unconventional life. He keeps his secret past hidden close to him, and lives a very humble life. His best friend is Esme, but he harbors deeper feeling for her. Only, he can't tell her, she needs something steady and secure. Not a beach bum surfer like himself.

Can they both sacrifice what they truly want to give everyone else a better life?

This was a lovely read. The third in the series of "The Parent App". Esme Taylor and Grady Nash are the best of friends, both secretly attracted to the other, but afraid to take anything further due to their pasts and the fact that both are small business owners with financial struggles - Esme more so than Grady as she has two children to provide for with a dead-beat ex-husband.
Following through on the sign-up from her son on the dating app, Esme goes on her first date. And how that one date changes so many lives.................
I can't wait for the last two books in this series - I do have an idea of what will be happening in them as there have been bread crumbs dropped throughout the series so far, but the details will be revealed.

I loved reading this book, a heartwarming story that I felt the emotion of the characters, the real-life struggles and stress. Grady and Esme have been best friends for a few years, he is so supportive, but she still worries since he only runs a surf shop. I loved her kids Robbie and Madison and the relationship that Grady has with them. This story is so sweet and tender, I had tears in my eyes a few times, the comments from Robbie at the wedding, the comments from Grady to Robbie and Madison so beautiful, such a fabulous story. Friendships are wonderful and so supportive. The moms are feeling like teenagers were maybe smart to sign their moms up for a dating site. A must read story!

Second Bloom is single mum Esme and her best friend Grady’s heartwarming and at times heartbreaking read. It’s book in three in The Parent App Series and I loved everything about it.
This is a story about best friends not seeing what’s right under their noses, it’s about children wanting their mum to find love and not to be alone and it’s a story that touched me on so many levels. This is a beautifully written story with characters I loved. and it didn’t take me long to become invested in this book. I fell hard and fast for Grady and Esme but it was the mischievous and loving children who stole my heart.

After her son put her information on the Parent App, and after seeing her friends' success at love, Esme decided to give love a try. With the help of her amazing son, Robbie, who gives her a 97% compatability rating with a doctor, she goes out with him. The problem is that her heart belongs to a surf shop owner who is also her friend. Her flower shop is not successful enough for her to acknowledge her feelings for Grady. Grady loves her also, but because of his past, he doesn't feel free to pursue her. Can they ever have a chance for love?
Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me to read an ARC.

Second Bloom is a sweet and easy read about independent Esme and laid-back surfer guy, Grady. But there is more to Grady than we have been led to believe in the previous books and it’s interesting to find out his story. I enjoyed reading about Esme and Grady’s relationship and absolutely loved genius and nerdy Robbie and precocious and adorable Madison’s part in the story. If you are looking to escape the stress of day-to-day life and enjoy a sweet family love story, this is the book for you. Tess Thompson creates amazing and loveable characters.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions I have expressed are my own and I was not required to write a review.

I absolutely love this entire series! I think Brady and Esme's story is my favorite, but then I've said the same thing about each previous book in the series. Esme and Brady are perfect for each other, but neither will admit their feelings. Esme's children, Robbie and Madison are her whole life as she struggles to make ends meet with her flower shop. Brady is the perfect friend, but he knows his carefree surfer life can't pay the bills for a family, a family that he loves with all his heart. Their lives together could be perfect according to Robbie, one of my all-time favorite book characters, but can it happen? Five sparkly stars once again! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

This is the third book in the Parent App series but can be read alone. This is all about Esme and Grady. Esme has two children and divorced their father for a better life. She is working hard to provide for the kids and keeps her heart guarded. Grady soon becomes her best friend and is always there to help her and the kids, but she doesn't feel he is dating material. Secretly she loves him but has to make wise choices for her and her kids. This book unfolds their story and is a wonderful read.

Thank you to the publisher for a chance to read this book. My opinions are my own.

Another great story in the Parent App series! Esme and Grady story is fantastic! It was both heart warming and heartbreaking at the same time. Esme has feeling for Grady and he has feelings for her. She thinks their lives are too different and Grady doesn’t think he’s good enough for her. He has some secrets of his own that when they come out cause problems of their own. Can they work everyone out and make life together? The two of them along with Esme’ children make the perfect family. I loved Second Bloom! The Parent App series is fantastic! I can’t wait for the next book!

Second Bloom was once again an amazing story of one of the moms in the Parent App series by Tess Thompson. Esme and Grady have been best friends for 3 years and the love story that blooms from that friendship is so special. I also loved getting to know Esme’s kids and I especially loved Robbie and his relationship with his mom. And Grady is such an awesome role model and his love for Esme’s kids is so heartfelt in everything he does and says. This was an advanced reader copy and I enjoyed every word and page I read!
