Spend the first year of freedom focused on recovery and staying sober while creating a new life in a new town, surrounded by people who understand how important reaching this goal is.
Don’t get sidetracked by the ups and downs of dating, and don’t lose sight of the end goal - focus on what you have to do to make a difference in the world after causing so much chaos and pain while in active addiction.
It’s not going to be easy, but with hard work and dedication, Serana’s goal is attainable, and she’s not going to let anything get in her way.
Of course, the universe has other ideas.
Roscoe Hamilton is more than happy to stand by her side and become her biggest cheerleader. The electricity he feels every time he’s near her isn’t as important as support her in her efforts, but it’s enough to make him understand that making Serana happy is his long-term goal - and it’s going to last a lifetime.
From dance partners to a hesitant friendship that turns into something wonderful, follow Serana and Roscoe through the ups and downs of creating a life together surrounded by friends and family who are happy to cheer them both on.
Join Cee Bowerman in Rojo, Texas, as she explores what it’s like for women who have worked so hard to get to a brighter place, yet still have more work to do to find their own happily-ever-after. This series features references to some of her other work, and you’ll even be able to catch up with characters you’ve already grown to love as you accompany these delicate flowers on their journey toward realizing that they’re really not delicate at all.
This book is fantastic! I love how patient Roscoe is and how focused Serana is on getting her life back on track. It was inevitable the relationship would grow from a friendship as they were perfect for each other.
I absolutely love all of this author's books (& please don't ask me to pick a favorite! Lol!), but this series has a special meaning for me. As someone who once had an alcohol addiction and a drug addiction (trying to quit one addiction led to the next one), it's a lot more difficult than anyone who has never been involved with alcohol/drugs could ever imagine to get clean. I never went to jail/prison like these characters, which I'll be forever grateful for, but it doesn't mean that I didn't have my own horrors and tragedies caused by my addictions. Everyone is different, every single addiction is different, and while rehab may help many, it unfortunately doesn't work for everyone. It's beyond frustrating when those in charge decide that whatever program they've chosen is the only way, and if it doesn't work for some then it's their fault, not the program. I truly wish that someone would develop a program like this one in this series, as I honestly believe that it would help more addicts than the "traditional" type. I know that this is a fictional series, as well as all of the other stories by this author. However, she's had some of the most intriguing and amazing ideas for her characters, which I also think would be great for the real world too! JMO!
This story was an emotional roller-coaster that had heartbreaking situations, a bit of suspense, drama, crazy antics, and lots of hilarious banter. It's certainly a must read book and series!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Can't wait for the next release by this incredibly talented author!
I love Rosco and Serana . Serana was a labor and delivery nurse who became addicted to narcotics after a severe back injury. So addicted that she would do whatever she had to do to get her fix. After a child is put in danger she finds herself serving a prison sentence. Upon release she is accepted to the delicate flower program where she meets Roscoe. I love their sweet, but funny relationship. If you don't know this author I recommended that you go back and start with her Texas Knights series and read in her reading order listed on her web site. You won't regret it and it makes this book go from 5 stars to 10 stars just knowing the history of all the characters!!!!! Drama, comedy, romance, these books have it all.
This one was a very slow burn, but it made sense with what Serana had been through. What I loved though was Roscoe understood things and was ok being put in the friend zone, even as he hoped for more. Without the pressure, it allowed the two of them to really get to know each other, despite how Serana hid parts of herself. Not really because she didn't want to tell him, she was still hiding those parts from herself. It was interesting to see how she overcame that and who helped her. It was nice to see how things worked out for this couple in the end, they deserved all the happiness they found.
This book it close to home for me. My middle daughter was a drug addict. When she went to prison for 3 years it was the first time I was able to sleep knowing she was not on the streets or worse. And I also was married to my best friend for almost 29 years before he passed. She got out and met a wonderful man that made her choose him or the drugs. He took her 2500 miles away and they have been married almost 16 years now. So sorry for the long spiel but I wish that everyone will read this. I'm telling everyone 😊 It was tearful and hilarious and just plain excellent.
Cee never disappoints her fans and readers. This is an amazing story that continues with our favorite Rojo people. Adults and children. I am so happy for this couple and I can't wait to see whose next. I hope its either Taylor or my favorite Moe!!!! My heart broke for Harley (Daughtry) and what happened with him. I got petrified there for a min for Koda and Lyric. So glad that all worked out. Just wish I knew what was happening to him! Love all these characters and I can't wait for more!!
Serana is one of Zoey's delicate flowers. She meets Roscoe Hamilton and the crazy fun begins. I love Rojo Texas and all of the people that Cee Bowerman has created that love there. I wish it was a real place because I would move there first thing tomorrow. Roscoe and Serana become each others best friend. As Serana waits the full year after she is out of prison, Roscoe introduces her to his family and the magic is amazing. I highly recommend all of Cee Bowermans books.
Totally love the delicate flowers! No plot spoilers, no potential triggers. Little bit of swearing and a couple of love scenes lightly written. Absolutely perfect character development to compliment the well crafted plotline. I don't think I have left feedback on any of the authors books before today and that's to my shame because I don't believe I have ever read a bad book by Cee Bowerman. I highly recommend the series but it would make for better reading to start at the very beginning.
I admire these “delicate flowers” they are the strongest fragile women to overcome everything they have been through and come out stronger than ever fighting everyday for sobriety from addiction. What started off as a friendship turned to more as Serana met each goal she set for herself. Roscoe stood by her side with friendship, support, a crazy and hilarious family and love. This is another emotional, heartfelt, story about survival, strength filled with humor, family, support and lots of laughter and love..
This was a beautiful and emotional story. Serana and Roscoe are perfect for each other. Serana had a lot to overcome from her past and an unwavering commitment towards doing the right thing for her health and sobriety. Roscoe was willing to wait and give her everything she needed to become the person she wanted to be. They started out as friends, became best friends, fell in love and got their happily ever after. Love this one and highly recommend it to everyone ❤️🖤
Any book by Cee Bowerman is always a winner for me. Always five stars. She never disappoints. These “delicate flowers” are the strongest fragile women. I know they all have their stories and I can’t wait to learn them - I already love them all. Serana just breaks my heart. She is so hard on herself, but maybe that’s what got her through. She deserves all the good things - including the love of a good man. Like Roscoe. And what a beautiful start to a beautiful love. ❤️
Serana's book is book 2 in the Delicate flowers series and Cee Bowerman did NOT disappoint. I absolutely LOVE Serana and Roscoe's story. This is a true friends to lovers romance. Not many get to say they fall in love with their best friend, but these two get to. We get updates on both the Hamilton and Forrester's , plus a healthy dose of banter, sarcasm and KODA!!! I mean who doesn't Love Koda. This is by far one of my favorites. It's a MUST read.
This is the second book in this impressive series and this is Roscoe and Serana's story. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, heartbreak, challenges, making choices, survival, strength, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and compelling addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Serana and Roscoe's story is a classic love story....with a few twists. After being released from prison, Serana gets a fresh start with Zoey's program The Flower Patch, which helps carefully vetted women integrate back into society. Serana helps Janis at the bakery, as she has a talent for it. Roscoe is an OB/GYN, and is possibly the sweetest man, aside from my husband 😉 He's so wonderful with Serana, gently guiding her towards her post-rejease goals.
I absolutely loved Serana and Roscoe. They were absolutely perfect for each other. Serana has been through so much and to still be so positive and open to all the possibilities is amazing. Loved seeing some of the OG's and Koda! Fantastic book and i can't wait to read more! 💯 recommend!
So worth the wait, friends to lovers is not normally one of my tropes but Cee knocked it out of the park i could not put this down and devoured it within hours (which sucks since i now have to wait a whole month for the next one) honestly Roscoe almost took Kale’s place!
Cee delivers all the feels, every time. Serana’s story was so tragic early on but she found her strength and her best friend, Roscoe. The glimpses and mentions of some of my Rojo friends are so heart warming it always makes me feel good. I’m always looking ahead to Cee’s next book and never ready for the end.. I hope she has many more stories to share with us.
The delicate flowers all have their own stories. Nobody had the same addiction or story, but they understand better than most how quickly things can spiral out of control and change your entire life! Roscoe is the perfect mix of his parents, which made him the perfect person for Serana!!! Love this series and can't wait for more!!!!
I loved Serana and Roscoe’s story and how this book fits into the Rojo universe. From the connection that is made between Moe & Serana and the Forresters to the glimpse into what’s going on with Harley at this point of the timeline, I was invested in the events from start to finish and look forward to what comes next.
This book is a great example of how you can rebuild your life after being an addict. Roscoe was so sweet with Serana and understanding with her goals she had set out for herself and never pressured her. You get a lot of laughter and seeing some of your favorite people in this book. It's definitely worth the read!
I really enjoyed this story. There is so much humor with some tears. Lots of crazy things going on with in Roscoe's family. I love their pranks and squabbling. Roscoe loves Serana so much he honored her time lines she set for her recovery. Cee always does an outstanding story every time.
Cee get better with every book. This was a fantastic! Even thought there was an instant connection it leaned towards slow burn. I love that Roscoe respected Serana’s goal and not only didn’t pressure her to cave early but supported and rooted for her to keep it. I can’t get enough of the Rojo universe. Keep them coming!!!
I loved the easy flow between Serana and Roscoe it made my heart happy. There was nothing I disliked, it was a wonderful way for a friendship and romance to begin. Once again Cee Bowerman has made me smile laugh out loud and cry, but the laughing to all the antics is the best. ♥️
As usual, once I started the book I couldn’t put it down. Serena and Roscoe were magical I could feel the love from them jumping off the pages. The family feel is just awesome and I loved the parts with the children. Koda will probably take over the world in a few years.
I had so many moments of recollection and reflection while reading this story. I don't recall laughing out loud while reading in a very long time. Serana and Roscoe have a warm and sexy build up to the climax of their relationship. I loved it! It was pure genius! Hilarious and very sexy! A great read and now I will need to buy the collection.
I laughed so hard in some places. I just couldn't stop smiling in other spots. It's a wonderful story. It was great getting to see other characters again I loved it so much.
This is an awesome book. Another great story from the families of Rojo. I always enjoy hearing all of the things that happen around town. Loved hearing from Koda again. He is such a hoot. Great r!
This book of redemption, forgiveness, and healing was one I needed at this time. It makes me happy to read about those that love hard and all in. The sarcasm is my love language. Thank you.
I love how many of the previous characters are always included in the stories of love in Rojo. Their antics keep me laughing and the occasional tear jerkIng scenes usually turn out a happily ever after. Good job Cee Bowerman.
