I tempt a priest sworn to God.
Santino Rivas is my enemy, my forbidden temptation.
He is a man of faith with a monster’s bloodline.
We are enemies by fate. Lovers by sin.

I walk into his church wearing innocence like a lie.
I want one thing.
The truth his father buried beneath holy stone.
The proof of my father’s murder.

I’m Pia Moretti. I lie. I seduce to get it.
Devout. Soft. Harmless.
Every confession feels like foreplay.
I let him watch me. I let him want me.

He finally cracks when he pins me against the wall.
I don’t expect the man beneath the collar to unleash with explosive force.
I don’t expect to want him when he does.

When danger comes for me.
Santino doesn’t pray. He kills.
The enforcer his father forged surfaces like a ghost.

He’s Giovanni’s heir.
The one who walked away from the King’s crown.
The man the mafia world whispers about.
The man with the collar… who just snapped a neck without hesitation.

He’s not supposed to choose me.
Because the man who would die to protect me…
Will burn his entire family to keep me.

I enjoyed Bishop!

The beginning was a little bit slow for me and I was pretty good at figuring out what came next. I got a little bit further in and it was one twist after another.

Santino was EVERYTHING!!

I think the chemistry in this book was very steamy and I ate it all up.

Pia was exactly what she needed to be to pull their story together.

Guido knew how is brother was and still loved him.

All of the secrets and violence that was disguised and overlooked. Not too many people really KNEW what was going on.

I will say this is exceptional at describing all of the steamy sciences.

I plan on reading it again to see if there was anything I might have missed.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is primarily Santino/Bishop and Pia’s story. It’s a continuation of King & Queen that follows the Rivas family, its rise to mafia powerhouse and the death of its patriarch. I loved the storyline and the characters. They have history that goes back decades, full of sin and deceit, but also great love. My biggest complaint is that the timelines and plots from the previous stories are not concluded, Guido was in exile with his mother Zina, but now he’s back, and it’s not explained and his age is wrong. I wish the author had taken the time to follow her own plot lines. It takes me away from the story that’s unfolding when things like that pop up. That being said, this is a series/story well worth reading. 4✨’s
