I’ve always been a writer. My Pop-Pop was always my biggest fan and encouraged my love of reading. From my first stories about talking wolves to my first published novels with witches and lost love. Crafting an enchanting and riveting tale is nothing new to me.

As a black woman, I strive to put us on the forefront of romance novels. To put us in fantastical and daring situations that carve heroines everyone loves to read about.

Other than being a writer, I fancy myself quite the poet.

When I’m not doing anything that has to do with writing; I enjoy watching my favorite YouTubers, playing video games and sleeping.

Strips Away the Idolizing

I enjoyed how distinct each character felt. Their personalities and what shaped them have a through line that persists in every scene. Whether it's performing, emotional, or intimate, every character feels distinct and real with all the messiness that comes with it.

What starts off as a well-matched, intimate companionship contract with her three favorite idols, turns into something deeper than expected. Juniper is an established and secure Black woman in her early 30s, with a successful career, love of Voix, and insatiable appetite for adventure: sex and otherwise.

Outside of the scorching hot sex scenes, there are many scenes exploring the individual relationships through trust, discord, tragedy, and sorrow. Juniper is kind, but challenges each character and herself in a mature way, while also maintaining honesty and boundaries when necessary. Taek, Rion, and Min each offer their own insight of how their early beginnings shaped the men they are when they meet Juniper. Their arcs are incredibly satisfying.

The reality of a plus-size Black woman secretly dating all 3 members of a popular K-Pop band in Korea gets increasingly touched upon towards the latter half of the story. As well as many poignant points made about cultural differences, intersecting with celebrity, sex, and romance.

It is very difficult to sum this story up in a review. I would just say it's worth reading, if anything I've said pulls at you. It's a solid story that has human mess, but isn't treated messily. 🖤🤌🏾

One thing I would've liked is if there was more details about Juniper's life and past during the story. Sometimes, it did feel like she did too much caretaking. Also, Taekwoon, I get his character, but lawd it couldn't have been me. 😂😂😂

2.5 stars, character development needed some work

I’m so sad this was a miss for me, but halfway through the book, I still could largely only tell our K-pop stars apart by their adult interests. The stakes didn’t hit for me either, but I imagine that has a lot to do with the aforementioned character issue. I liked all of them, but I didn’t know them.

Go read more Tierra Cox books though, because Silver and Snow still has me in a chokehold. Also this quote? Beautiful.

“And I start to cry—silent, shaking, palms pressed to the window. Not because I regret leaving. But because love can be right and timing can be wrong and sometimes the bravest thing you can do is walk away before you lose yourself.”

3.5 stars.

The MMCs were great in this. I loved that they all had distinct personalities.

The FMC was interesting, while I loved her way of carrying herself and her personality, sometimes her choices were odd. I still don't really get why the 3rd act breakup was necessary. The MMCs seemed to handle problems maturely and discuss issues with her, especially by the time that 6 month contract was up. The FMC should have just talked to them about how they can blend their lives in a way that works for everyone and how they can keep her safe from unhinged fans.

All in all, I enjoyed the book. The spice was good and I appreciated that there were some duo scenes and variety in the scenes, that doesn't always happen in reverse harem.

Wow...

Rion, Taek, Min, and Juniper just hit the feels for me. I've never read a Tierra Cox book, so I didn't have any expectations. I came in with an open mind to see what world she had created... and just fell in love. The K-Pop group of Voix begins their American tour with the hope of finding a love that encapsulates all the members. What they find is Juniper, and their journey of discovery of love, self-love, and worth begins. There is laughter, insight, pain, and love. Just so you know, Juniper is not the one, two, or three!

I can’t even think of how to title this

Tierra has been one of my one click authors for quite some time now. This addition only further solidifies why. This story took me on a journey I didn’t expect. It was beautiful, cruel in the best of ways, and HOT in the most disrespectful of ways.

A story of uncertain love, healing of deep wounds, and courageously encouraging your partners to grow.

I’ll end with this. Juniper, I get it. Making space for these three was easy.

No words are good enough

I have no words to describe the depth of emotion in this story. Yes we get the dirty spice we adore, and plenty of it, but we also get four people, broken and learning to heal, together and separately. I love a story where there's no misunderstandings and huge fights, me not having to shout at the characters to just tell the truth. You get love, devotion, heartache and growth, with a healthy dose of spice in between. Beautifully written.

“For the first time… I want to be more than what I was taught to be.”

Okay, Ms. Cox I see you!!!! I don’t know what I was expecting but this wasn’t it. I went in blind even though this isn’t my first book by this author. Very 😋 I love how this story unfolded, how mature things were handled and how the MFC seen them equally. S£xy indeed and I glad that I was here for it all!!!!! Thank you for a job well done!!!

This book was so good. Honestly it had me wanting to read from the cover, but the story started quickly, you could feel the motivations, feelings and wounds of each of the main characters, and while there was a lot of hardcore spice, it didn’t feel gratuitous. I’m also normally not into third act splits, but this one made sense so I appreciated it. And the HEA ending actually made me tear up. So, so good. And it’s one of the few novels I want to read again.

i read for the vibes & the vibes were ✨just lovely✨

I actually really did love this story. The way each character had their own hurdles/ struggles to get over definitely made it more realistic. I will admit there were a few grammatical errors but it didn’t take away from the overall story. Honestly id love an epilogue of their HEA

💜💚💛💙

Oh my, oh my what a story!! I got lost in the feelings, the experiences, the want/need, the darkness/light of being an idol, the love. I truly wish the book was longer, or a series where we can see them as they were at the end. So glad that they and we got their HEA.

This story was raw, beautiful, touching, and funny all wrap up in one pretty package. I cannot recommend this book enough. It made me cry! Five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love that Juniper stood on business. She knew what she and her men needed. Even if it was painful and I respect that.

Good

This was a good storyline, although I don’t see how it could work in the long run. Sure in a werewolf series, but real life? Different, but good.
