“Missing Sister” by Joshilyn Jackson is a complex, layered mystery with a twisted story about grief and revenge. Every time I thought I knew what was happening the story just kept turning and then going deeper!
Penny Albright, who has just started working as a Police Officer in her home town, is struggling to cope following the death of her twin sister, Nix. The loss of a sister, let alone a twin sister, is simply unimaginable. Penny is trying to come to terms with the profound loss of her sister and to cope with life when she gets called to a murder scene and realizes that the murder victim is one of the men that she blames for her sister Nix’s death. This sets off a series of situations and circumstances that challenges Penny’s ideas about revenge, who is capable of it, and her thoughts about how to keep the world a safer place.
I usually pride myself on seeing plot twists coming early, but I felt almost shell-shocked at the end of this book. I did NOT see the storyline as it played out! Just … Wow! Do yourself a favour and grab this book as soon as you can! This book was so hard to put down once I started it, so make sure that you have time to clear your schedule and read!
I listened to this book by audiobook and it was a great listen. Award-winning Audiobook Narrator Joshilyn Jackson narrated her own book, and she’s so multi-talented! This was my first Joshilyn Jackson book, but it will not be my last.

I really liked this book, narrated by the author herself, but I have liked most all of Joshlyn Jackson’s previous books. Simplistic writing style with great descriptions, a little humor mixed in with a couple of good twists in this book. From Jackson’s description, I could easily envision Thalia’s immaculately, clean apartment.

This is a good mystery, when I thought that I had figured out the whole story then it takes a left a turn and I was left wondering what did I miss. The narrator did an amazing job on this book.
