This book captures all the emotions. One minute you’re laughing and the next you’re screaming, crying and throwing up. It’s honestly so well transcribed that I felt as if I was in the book with the characters.
Shorter read, but delivers the story in a way that you wish you could peek into their lives after it is all over. I was told that I would need tissue and I was like yeah right I'm a block of steel. But then, it happened!!! The Last Call took me over the edge, and showed me what it means to honor and obey!!! The MMC and FMC are a married couple. A cop with a racing mind, who makes whatever decision he feels is best to get the job done, and trying to be a better man than he was shown as a child. A 9-1-1 dispatcher with a heartbreaking past who finally found someone who will protect her heart the best he can, a no-nonsense, putting people over her own pain, fiery woman that any man would be lucky to have. Kaden and Rayleigh are a match made from fire and brimstone and this is The Last Call by A.T. Good!!
I read this book in an hour. I cried for the majority of said hour. The author quickly made me fall in love with the character to the point it felt like it was one of my own coworkers going through this pain. From the writing, to characters, and to the ending its a 5 star read.
This was a very hard read for me being as I just lost my husband of 42 years but as always this book was very well written and very accurate as first responders and 911 dispatchers go. Thank you for such beautiful words.
I told my self that I would read with a “harsher” critique attitude, however this author broke my heart once again. Keep writing my new favorites and send tissues!
