Wow. I was very pleasantly surprised when I started this book.
Ellie is a police officer and pretty bored with her life. She is low on money and her father, who is the Chief of Police, refuses to promote her even after all her hard work. Wanting to make a big arrest of her own and make her family proud, she puts her life in danger one night at a club. She is taken and brought to Alejandro Calaveras. Alejandro is a drug Lord from Mexico and a very dangerous man. Ellie knows it and yet she is drawn to him. Deep lust blooms between them; traping them in a dangerous web.
Will he win in seducing her or will she bring him to his rightful fate? A must read if you love erotic romance and handsome Mexican men. ;-)

This book is hot hot hot!!! It is very clear right from the first page that this story is spicy in all the best ways. Under appreciated and sexually frustrated lady cop, Ellie just wants a little recognition from her hero cop brother and police chief father. After her brother takes a bullet Ellie sets out in an attempt to make a name for herself with a drug bust, and gets caught up in a whirlwind of danger and excitement. The sexy drug lord Alejandro is drool worthy, and Ellie is so tired of always being a good girl and doing what she is supposed to do. I love this story because it is erotic but also takes me away and allows a connection to the characters as well an understanding of why they do what they do. I think this will turn out to be a very high-demand erotic series, and I can't wait to read more!!! When it ended I was like NOOOOO!

I absolutely loved this book! I love books that truly captures each characters distinct personality and emotion, I feel like that is what often makes or breaks a book. And this definitely made the book for me! I couldn't put it down, after the first page I was hooked! There is so much more I want to say but I feel like this is one of those books that you can't say to much without revealing everything because it's all intertwined with eachother.
Just trust me that you will love this book, you will fall in love with Ellie's story and you'll want to read it again and again!

Emily is a good girl, always does what she's told, works hard everyday and tries to make her dad proud! She lives a very boring life, she has only one friend and she had tried for a promotion in her job year after year. The problem there is that she's a cop, her brothers a cop and her dad is the Cheif! Every year she gets turned down! Until one day events lead her to meeting a very strong, sexy and wanted bad man! She wants to be free but can she find a way to being free? Amazing read and I can't wait for the next book!

Humm...
I don't quite know what to say about this book, but it didn't quite work for me. It was a quick read. It had sex. But honestly, I've read so many kidnapped heroine/Stockholm story plots, that this one doesn't seem original. In fact, even the "panty melting" scenes were a bit boring to me. The heroine seemed... desperate? whorish? I can't really decide. It could have been okay if it were longer, and a bit more vividly detailed. But I'd much rather re-read some Pepper Winters, Pam Godwin, or C.J. Roberts than the rest of this short serial.

Ok, before I start with the review, I feel I have to mention this because it has been happening so much lately with erotic stories and its starting to be annoying.
Make sure your sex scenes work please! I mean, researching would be a great idea ;)
If I'm sitting on my ass, I am not able to be rubbing it against his hard on.
And if he has me bent over and is going to town from behind me, his balls are Not "smacking against my ass." Seriously, give it a try, I bet you find they do not smack against your's either.

This is a hot little read. I did find it a little slow to get going, but once I got maybe 7 chapters in, it picked up and moved on pretty fast.
Ellie is a do-gooder. So of course she wants to please her father, the Chief of police. and be as noticed as her brother, lead detective. Being a police officer is a family tradition for Ellie. So she devotes her life to being in the police force.
No one is impressed. Especially not her father.
Ellie is sick of being overlooked at work, of being alone and of being the "good girl" who doesn't take risks and leads a boring life.
She is struggling to make ends meet, her only friend has just moved away and with being recently dumped by her gay boyfriend, extremely sexually frustrated.
Life cant get worse, right?
Ellie heads out on a secret solo mission to impress her father and get that promotion that he keeps knocking her back on, but things turn sour real fast when she finds herself at the mercy of a very dangerous and sexy wanted man.
Alejandro Calaveras.
Rich, sexy and extremely powerful.
Being the most notorious drug lord in Mexico doesn't leave room for a personal life.
You cant have friends or lovers when you can't trust anyone to be close to you.
Alejandro makes up for that with the best women money can buy, but he is bored with them.
Theres no challenge having woman fall at your feet for money.
When he gets a call about a cop being help captive in his warehouse, he heads out to take care of the problem.
Never in his dreams did he expect to find Ellie.

Tease Me by Emily Goodwin - Reviewed by Klaire Sutherland

As far as I am aware this is Emily Goodwin's first foray into the erotic/romance genre but I have to say it definitley has tones of her previous work running through it. The story isn't new, far from it, but with Emily's style it is very readable and very enjoyable. There's a build up of anticipation that she creates, you know that what you are going to read the further into the book you get that it is going to just get better and better. And it does...then it ends! Grrr, the book wasn't long enough for me. I know, I know - it's a novella and I shouldn't grumble. But I am because it felt like I was just getting into the swing of the story and then I was gently tipped off the ledge. Now I have to wait, which is fine really, but I was so into this that I could have quite happily kept reading!
So the level of heat that comes off these pages between Alejandro and Ellie is up there with the best. There's a slow draw in and then bam, you're right in the middle of a scene that quite simply takes your breath away. christ is it explosive and hot and steamy and all those other words I forget right now from having that scene in my head. It's tinged with danger, a danger that you feel right down to your toes.
The characters are great, I really loved Ellie if I'm being honest. I can see how her head is turning and her thoughts are whirring away at her mundane life. I felt quite sorry for her, being looked over by her father and brother. And really, was it any wonder that she fell so easily into Alejandro's arms when he showed her this sense of danger and excitement that she lacks, despite being a police officer? Alejandro, thus far, seems to be a little bit of an enigma to me. The supposed hard drug cartel guy that for some reason takes an instant shine to our Ellie. My, I think he will keep sizzling the ladies socks off right until the end. We all love a bad boy with a side of mush right?
So yeah....definitely worth a read, it won't take long but you might sit there afterwards and curse Emily for not having the second novella ready. I'm not sure why the author has decided to do this as a series of thre but I'm quite disappointed at that decision. Nothing to do with the fact that I need the next book now as we all know I have patience, but more for the fact that I think it deserves to be a whole story in one book, all by itself. The cliff hanger isn't so much of one that you scream at your kindle, it's quite soft and that to me is perhaps this novellas downfall. You do a 3 book series novella and I really want to see a good cliffhanger at the end.

At flirt I had no idea how this was going to work between an American cop and a Drug Cartel leader. Hmmm.
But it did work out well and I enjoyed the story. It was great erotic story as well. Lots of sex but also with a story line.
I did like Alejandro, we was more than just a drug cartel leader. But Ellie, well I think she was ok. She sure did take all the money and stuff; I think I would have liked her better if she wouldn’t have let him pay for every single thing!! Especially her bills. I think she should have done something else when she decided to live with him as for work. But other than that. Great read

Blimey! This was a hot read for sure ☺ I am quite smitten now Emily Godwin, her stories are easily engageable and very easy to fall into; Tease Me is no exception.
Alejandro is indeed a hot blooded latin male; an excellent specimen indeed ☺ Who wouldn't want to bed this guy! He is a full on great character, his values shine through his day job leaving him the perfect match for Ellie indeed and a great new book boyfriend.
This brings me to Ellie, god I love this woman! Down and despondent doing a job that gets her nowhere, being single after the failure of her previous relationship which also did nothing to lessen her feelings of lack of self worth. Chasing the elusive O that had done a runner (that first evening is it bad that I actually burst out laughing at her predicament! Awful of me indeed but heck that made me laugh. But no sooner than the laughter I was absorbed with the feelings again and how she felt she couldn't even do that anymore. I really, really liked Ellie. She seemed a slight clutz but a totally loveable one and her banter whether inner monologue or conversation just endeared me to her more.
The premise of this serial is great, I am hooked, I have to find out what's in store for Ellie and Alejandro in Tempt Me and then Take Me, slightly gutted I've got to wait till mid March to get to the end of their story but all good things come to those who wait. Didn't say I had to do it patiently though ☺ The heat factor in this is off the bloody charts and a change of knickers may be in order afterwards if your prone to reacting to heated scenes, you've been fair warned. ☺ This book is indeed a great guilty pleasure.
A cracking start to this mini trilogy, sometimes a quick read is just what the doctor ordered and this hit the medicinal spot for me this morning. I thoroughly enjoyed reading these characters and I can't wait to find out what's in store next.

The title of this book is absolutely perfect; the plot was definitely a tease! I loved the anticipation. There's so much pent up sexual energy and frustration, and you know that eventually there will be an explosive encounter coming, but Emily Goodwin makes you wait for it - even when you think it's right there you're made to wait some more. The anticipation played a major role in my enjoyment of the novella.
I'm definitely a sucker for anything remotely close to love/romance and the concept of a forbidden love completely does me in, so it's no wonder I'm totally smitten by Alejandro and Ellie. I could relate to Ellie's feelings of not being appreciated as well as feeling like her life was at a stand still. I believe we all feel that way at least once in our lifetime. It was actually a "no brainer" that both she and Alejandro wanted more out of their existnece.
What I didn't like about the book was the fact that it's only 72 pages. Seriously, 72 freaking pages! However, the author specifically states that it's a novella, so I can't complain too much. I guess that's just the greedy reader in me. Also, even though it doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger, it does leave you attempting to swipe to another page on your eReader and muttering some colorfully choice words at the author. While it does have some steamy moments, I don't think I would definitely label it as an erotica. When I think erotica, I think "hard core sex every 3-4 pages, my hubby naked and on standby, and a need for fresh undergarments." LOL!
Overall, I really enjoyed the book, would recommend it to anyone 18 and older, and I look forward to reading the next one.

So this is my first time reading Emily Goodwin but I know I am hooked on this serial and I cannot wait for more and I will definitely be checking out her other books when I can !!
Right form page one you are sucked into a wild scene !! It was like BOOM way to start a book !! Ellie is a sexually frustrated cop , living on her own and living a boring life. Her ex left her because he liked men instead so she is feeling kind of crappy over that. Her dad keeps passing up her promotions and her very best friends is happily married , pregnant and on the verge of starting a whole new journey away from Ellie. Her brother is also a cop and has just been wounded on duty. Ellie heads out and ends up in a horrible situation. Now being held captive far away from home by the drug cartel they have been trying to take down.
Alejandro is a boss , in every sense of the word !! Loving his one night stands and paid fun he has no room for the drama his men have now brought to his life. They should have just killed her but instead they have her tied up in a warehouse. Right away something about her strikes him and now he is bringing her home and keeping her there for himself.
Ellie and Alejandro are extreme opposites on the outside , but very much alike on the inside. Both wishing for a freedom their life hasn't allowed them. Yes it is crazy but heck it is hot !! Their connection , the tension , the lust , the action !! WOW I am loving this so far and cannot wait to see where it takes us !! As long as we get more naked Alejandro !!

Emily has a unique writing style that pulls you in and holds the reader captivated, that is exactly what happened to me with this 1st installment. I know she has stepped out of her box with this series, and I think she did a fantastic job! You get some mystery, some danger and a whole lot of sexy!!
Ellie is a cop, who in her own opinion, has a boring life. Her dad is the chief and her brother is a hot shot detective. She wants to become one so bad but she feels all she will ever be is a traffic cop, and a paper pusher. She tries so hard to impress her father in hopes of getting the praise and promotion that she feels she deserves.
Her precinct is after the notorious Drug lord, Alejandro Calaveras. But no one even knows what he looks like, all they have busted in the past is his lower level dealers and they aren't giving him up.
One night, Ellie decides to try to further her career by breaking up a drug bust by herself. She knows she should call for back up, but thinks if she just makes this one bust, her father and brother will finally be proud of her.
Well...it doesn't go as well as she had hoped. She ends up getting kidnapped by the dealer. And guess where she ends up, yup you guessed it, right in Alejandros house! Now, she needs to try to survive and find a way to escape before things get real dangerous.

Smokin hot book!!! I was sucked in from the first page.
Ellie is a good girl and a cop. A goody two shoes. Will do no wrong. It just goes against everything she is.

She wants to move up ranks in the police dept just like her father and brother. After her bother gets shot on the job one night she decides to start staking places out on her own. Take matters into her own hands, show everyone she can be an asset and get out from her desk job.
Things go terribly wrong and she is kidnapped. Taken to another country where she meets Alejandro, the drug lord in charge. She decides to go against everything she is, no more good girl doing the right thing.
Things get interesting and hot FAST! To say anymore I feel like it would give the book away.
My only downfall with this book is that it's split into 3 books. I've never liked like that. I just hate for a story to stop a part of the way through and then you have to wait for the next installment. With that being said will I read the next 2 books? ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY!! I mentioned how hot the story was right?

Ok don't get mad at me because of what I'm about to say. You know how some people always tell you that you should read this book by a certain author because their books are really good and you always say that I will get to them but it takes you forever. Well I'm that person that takes forever because I have so many other books that I have or want to read and now I's literally slapping myself because this is the first book that I have ever read by Emily Goodwin and now I'm wondering what took me so long to read her books. I am totally hooked and now I'm going to have to stalk her to find out what she has coming out next and when, but that is not why we are here. Tease Me hooked me from the beginning scene until the end because it started out with sex and never let me down. I loved the fact that Ellie was the good girl and her father never saw what she had to offer because that way we got to see what Alejandro had to offer. Alejandro was the best bad boy out there and now I can't wait to see what happens next because I need more. I can say with 100% guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this book because it will have you hooked and make you a fan of Emily's if you are not already one.

Full disclosure: I received this book from the author as an ARC in exchange for an honest review (the first time I have ever done this).
I love Emily Goodwin as an author and have read most of her books, that being said, this book is vastly different from her others! The synopsis of the book is spot on. Lots of good, raunchy sex set in a Stockholm Syndrome plot. If this may offend you, don't read it! If this intrigues you, give it a shot! The book is not very long and can easily be read in an evening. I am looking forward to the next book, even though this isn't normally the type of book that I read. Which I think said a lot for Ms. Goodwin as an author. I hope some more character development occurs in the next two books to further help me empathize with the characters. Erotic sequels can become boring without a good plot line and relatable characters. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the circumstances and decisions leading to Ellie's kidnapping either seem unrealistically simple or make her appear dumb. Ultimately, this didn't effect my ability to enjoy the story.

Tease Me is volume one of the Tease Me serial.
This is the first serial I've read and I don't know if I like this formatting style or not.
When I started this book I thought I was reading a porno in book form. I was a bit shocked but then I understood. Thinking about the beginning of the book I'm not shocked at all about Ellie's feelings for Alejandro. Throughout volume one we learn about Ellie's life, or lack there of, and how she meets Alejandro. I had no objections with the book, I thought the story was very interesting, I connected with Ellie and wanting more out of her life. I definitely understand her feelings toward Alejandro . Tease Me was basically the set up for the story. This book was hot, I'll give it that, but sadly I didn't have strong feeling about it. I hope Tempt Me will draw me in more since it will (hopefully) be like the body of the story. I am excited to see how everything turns out with their relationship and I want to know more about Alejandro.
It seems I'm not a big fan of serials but it was a good experience. I will finish the rest of this serial though.

Book 1of 3 in a series.
Ellie is a police officer just like her father and brother. She works hard and always gives more than she receives. Unfortunately, her dad passes her over. He gives the promotions to others who don't deserve it as much because he refuses to really see Ellie. After her brother is shot, she decides to do some under cover work on her own when she is discovered and finds herself kidnapped by Elejandro, the head of the cartel her brother is after.
Elejandro is as drawn to Ellie as she is to him. It doesn't take long before they develop feelings for each other. Ellie is tired of her life and likes the excitement she get with Elejandro. He likes the feelings she brings out in him. Can they make it together?
I liked Elejandro's character. He's straight forward and although he runs a cartel, he doesn't seem like an evil man. Ellie is a bit annoying at first. She's better once she's been taken captive. I'll read the next one in this series to see what happens next.

This is one of those books that sneaks up on you. At first is was kinda boring, but that doesn't mean stop reading the book. That means the good stuff is in the middle, just like a Twinkie!! Ellie is a cop. Her brother is a detective and her dad is the director of the precinct that she works in. All she wants is to make her dad proud. She goes by the rules and never steps around anything. That is until she tries to stop a drug deal. She is taken and wake up several hundred miles away from her home.
I believe that this is the first book that I have read by Emily. I know that it isn't going to be the last. This book has a way to keep you reading. It keeps you coming back, and it keeps you wanting more. This book has mystery and suspense. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed at all. Her writing is smooth and it keeps you reading!

This book gets hot and heavy from the first sentence. I adore Emily Goodwin. I have loved every single book she has written and I cannot wait for her new ones to come out. The Contagium Series is pretty much my favorite series EVER.
Tease Me however, was just okay. I know she made this into a serial type of thing which might have made this first book seem a bit rushed. I really wanted to love it. It wasn't awful but it seemed lacking to me. I'll probably read the other books though to see how the story progresses. I really want to love/hate =) this world she created with Ellie and Alejandro. The sexy scenes were HOT too!

Oh My Freakin God this book was hot. I recommend you read this book somewhere private. As it will get you a little hot under the collar and belt to. Emily Goodwin tells one hell of a tale. This is may be a fast paced book, but well worth the read. I love when our heroine a good girl decides to go bad. That is when the story truly gets hot. I don't know which way Emily is going to take this story, in the next book. But i can guaranty that it will be one hell of a book.

Tease Me by Emily Goodwin is the first book I've read and I can honestly say I'll be reading more of her books.
This story grabs you at the cover and doesn't let you go until the very last page and even then you are left with wanting more. It is one of those books that once you start reading, you won't want to put it down.
The story-line is intriguing and keeps you interested. The physical attraction between Alejandro and Ellie is sizzling-hot. Their desire for one another an unstoppable force of nature. Tease Me is a fast paced, very enjoyable read. Prepare to be titillated...

This book is over the top hot in an oh so naughty way. It's about one of those forbidden relationships - a cop and a cartel leader. And holy hell they are sizzling together. Ellie is a cop going through the motions of having a life when in actuality she does nothing more than work and go home. She really doesn't have anyone in her life. When she comes upon a drug deal that goes bad everything in her life changes. She is taken and brought to Alejandro who agrees to let her live if she behaves. And behaves she does. Seriously...scorching hot. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

From the very start you are thrown into the heat of the story. This book definitely doesn't lack in that department.
I will say I enjoyed the story line. I felt that it got better the further along the story went. When it first started out I thought I was going to have a hard time reading it, but I didn't.
It's fast paced and keeps you interested. I look forward to reading the next books. I want to know what happens!!!

This book was not like other books I normally read! But I'm always willing to try new things..and I am glad I did! I loved this book..there's lots of drama, action, hot steamy situations.
Emily is an amazing writer, her detail to scenes and her character building is phenomenal.
Once I started reading, I just couldn't put it down! This is part one and it's not a very long read so I'm not going to go into any details. Don't take my word for it, go read it for yourself..it's great!!

This is a very sexy start. I enjoyed Ellie. At the beginning I was not too sure. She was living under her fathers shadow and not really asserting herself. Ellie comes from a family of cops but she is unable to shine. Trying to her show abilities she ends up in a jam. Then, her whole life changes. She is putting herself first. Not under the ideal circumstances but, she can't help how Alejandro makes her feel. Alejandro, he's simply yummy. I can't wait to see where this series leads. This a quick and enjoyable read. Go grab it!
