Rising Otsana is a vivid and intriguing story with creative world building, engaging characters, unique elements of magic, and a MFC who is discovering herself in real time with the reader.

I felt cemented to Otsana's journey from the turn of the first page. The writing was well-paced and never felt as if there were empty pages. Each character introduced gave the impression of meeting a new friend. All on their own path but yet curated in a way in which they felt familiar.

With elements of fantasy, it also touches on real-life topics that leave a lasting notion. It does not glimmer over them, but instead allows the reader to sit in the emotions with Otsana.

If you are looking for a story with empowering yet tender characters, descriptive environmental design, a budding romance (I hope!!!), a MFC who is seemingly ready to carve out her own fate, and a cliffhanger that has you turning the page when there are no pages left to turn....you have Rising Otsana by S.T. Ghost.

I enjoyed this book. Easy read, not complicated to follow. Just enough world building, banter, angst and wtf’s to have you wanting more. (Un)patiently waiting for book 2 to see where this is going!
