Great book. Super quick and easy read. Dave really breaks down the DISC profile into a practical and useable application. I’ve always judged DISC. I prefer Working Genius, Enneagram, or Myers Briggs because they have more types and options (the idea that humanity can be lumped into just 4 quadrants seems unlikely). However, I now appreciate the simplicity of DISC because it’s a QuickStart guide into people’s tendencies.

Dave shows how you can use this simplicity to quickly asses people’s biases and preferences and communicate accordingly. This allows you to connect with friends, family, coworkers, customers (literally anyone) in the best way for them to understand and hear you. Unlike some personality tests which recommend NOT guessing - but instead, ONLY using the tests… DISC is simple enough to guess based on easily observable attributes.

Great read if you want to connect with people and enjoy studying people and how we tick as humans :)

Dave's new book is fascinating to me. I had not done the DISC assessment before and found it interesting. I have several questions as a result. That was a hint. The introduction to the classifications and the examples of how they come across were enlightening to me. I spend a good portion of the book trying to figure out the profiles of several of the people in my life. I am looking forward to applying the information in my life across the next several months. I think that if you have ever wondered what this assessment is, this is a quick read and a good way to check it out.

Dave Ramsey’s Stop Talking, Start Communicating is basically an entire college business course packed into one quick read. Seriously, schools could drop the dry textbooks and just hand students this.
It uses the DISC assessment to break down why we clash with people and how to actually get your point across without pulling your hair out. The best part? It’s not just for the office. The communication hacks in here work for everything—from handling a tough boss to navigating your marriage or understanding your kids.

I already knew this information. It’s good but nothing original. Plus it was a bit pricey for what you get.

I had a DISC assessment years ago, but never learned how to use it. In this book you get a code for the assessment, then lots of practical direction on using the results.
