Brutal Silence is the 3rd book in the Orchestrated Corruption series and follows Montgomery Prince and Fleur Sebastian. While it's a standalone I highly recommend reading the other books in the series. Fleur has lived in Stowe for two years where she's built a new life, business and friends after escaping her possessive and abusive fiance.
Montgomery is struggling after an almost fatal assassination attempt where he was caught off guard. He's become even more grouchy, unbearable and angry so he is sent on a mandatory vacation by his brother and Mafia Don to a small town called Stowe, Vermont to physically and emotionally heal from his wound. On his first day in town he collides into a beautiful woman (Fleur) who stands up to him and gives him the riot act which he's not used to. He can't stop thinking of her when low and behold he comes face to face with her once again when she bumps into his suv at the gas pump. Once again he's caught off guard with her sharp tongue and cutting remarks. As their chemistry intensifies with every interaction so does the danger. When trouble comes to town gunning for not only Montgomery but for Fleur she tells him about her estranged brother's messages as well as her possessive ex. Is it a coincidence that her brother works for the Russian Mafia or is there something else going on? On the run after being compromised they are forced to drive to New Orleans for safety and reinforcements. Their storyline brings danger, drama, passion, humor, betrayals and spice.

Montgomery Prince was sent to Stowe, Vermont to recuperate. But trying to get his bearings in Stowe was hard. All snow and ice. He had never visited the town his parents met at. Fleur was just trying to make a better life for herself. The past was just that. She didn’t want any trouble. When these two meet, there is a connection but her past and his are going to make things very difficult for them. For one, Fleur’s brother Danny. He always had trouble following him. And then there is her ex. Montgomery was trying to learn to live with having been shot and to find out who did it. When things start to unravel and Gio is able to connect the dots, things become dangerous not just for Montgomery but Fleur as well. When the enemy finally comes calling bullets start flying. I was shocked about Danny more than once. We learn that the Bratva is after both of them. We learn about who put out the hit on Montgomery and how Fleur’s ex Zane is involved. I was even shocked about what happened in a few scenes. This one was a smooth story between Montgomery and Fleur. Than the past made things move fast. I wonder who Jaxon will meet.

Montgomery Prince is recovering from a near fatal assassination attempt; his brother sends him to Stowe to get his head straight. He encounters Fleur on his arrival which sets the scene for their continued interactions. The story evolves with a one-night stand which both agreed would be a one-time event. Fleur and Montgomery have chemistry which flares. Fleur's brother Danny is involved with the Russian Bratva, but she has washed her hands of him, but he shows up in her house with a warning for her. He is later found murdered in his motel room, which results in Montgomery and Fleur fleeing to New Orleans by car to avoid tracking. This plot was very complex with multiple competing factions' intent on taking both Montgomery and Fleur down while they are making their way to N.O. There is a spectacular takedown of multiple players which results in a HEA ending for the couple. This was a binge worthy read. Your kindle will be on fire!

Story so good! Montgomery Prince was told by his brothers he needed to take a break ,against his feelings and after he was hurt he decided to take a break and head to a little town in Vermont, where everyone knew everyone and protected everyone like family. He runs into Fleur Sebastian who runs a store that has ton of suncatchers of every kind. They didn't hit it off either,he couldn't trust any one ,because he had to keep in hiding because someone wants him dead.Fleur made a tray on muffins and special coffee has a peace offering but he is in pain and is a grouchy bear but he accepts the offering. They keep get thrown together especially since it looks like there are hits are out on both of them. Fleur feels eyes on her and feels in danger. This story is pack with action, danger but it brings Montgomery and Fleur closer and she help break that steel around his heart and this story even has a few surprises in it. Enjoy!
An electricity so strong that Montgomery and Fleur will melt your heart! I feel for Montgomery as he struggles to come back from being shot so his brother sends him to Stowe to cool off so to say. I chuckled at Fleur’s fortune cookie which she thought was a farce as there were no hot men in Stowe or that is until her friend spies a hot man outside that Fleur literally bumps into Montgomery near her store, Sunlight & Sparkles. This starts a chain reaction of meet-cutes that will have you chuckling and fanning yourself and despite each saying they don’t want a relationship, they soon find themselves in something as Montgomery tries to protect Fleur from a random attack. What follows is a convoluted small world as Fleur’s past and brother find themselves inserted into Montgomery’s troubles at home. How will it all end? You have to read to find out and will be rooting for their happily ever after!
This is Montgomery and Fleur's story. The background of the Prince family is revealed. Montgomery is sent on a forced vacation by his older brother as they find out who's after them. Unfortunately, that's Stowe which is far away and the opposite of New Orleans. The people accept him as one of their own thanks to his father. Fleur is a shop owner who's sunshine and happiness. It's a case of opposites attract. It's starts out with benefits and Montgomery quickly realizes his found the one person he can't live without. Add the Bratva, a dubious brother, and a less than upstanding ex with everything else along and a road trip back to New Orleans, mix it all together and you get a funny, spicy, loving story of a family. What a great read! Montgomery starts out as angry and embittered and ended as a happy, albeit still mafia killer, who has had a personality transplant courtesy of Fleur. This is a story that weaves a story from New Orleans to Vermont and back again. Russian Bratva are the enemy in this story as well as a crooked lawyer. It is a story full of heat and excitement and through all the danger, Fleur is a ray of sunshine with a backbone of steel. There is a surprise twist at the end of this great story.
Montgomery and Fleur are brought together after getting away for a period of time from their respective situations. However, fate seems to be placing them in each other paths again which sets the stage for an incredible read. There are some heartbreaking moments that lead to suspense and danger which had my heart beating quickly, almost feeling their pain through the pages. It was definitely an intense storyline that I could not put down.

Couldn’t put it down… Montgomery Prince was sent to rural Vermont by his family to heal after being shot. Bumping into Fleur Sebastian changed both of their lives in ways neither could have imagined. The small town brought karma full circle by rallying around the couple after circumstance and their common enemy brought danger and heartache… I received a free copy of this book. Usually I’m not one to rate a book or review but this book was super good!!! it had a lot of spice and meaning to it and i liked the new Orleans flair to it. I think the plot twist was amazing and the write did a good job. there wasn’t a moment i wanted to put the book down and found myself flying through it.
Omgosh this was so good. I loved Montgomery and Fleur. From beginning to end this n book had me on the edge of my seat. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. This was filled with action and danger, chaos and suspense. I loved the setting and the writing was excellent. I’m going to go back and start at book one.
I usually like Piper's books but this one was a miss for me. It started out okay but after page 103 I lost interest and started skimming through then just quit. I really disliked the spanking in a bar bathroom oral sex in the back of a car. It was like two teenagers on Prom Night it left me with no respect for the MFC.
Brutal Silence is set in the French Quarters of Louisiana. Montgomery and Fleur take us on one heckuva journey in this action filled story. Danger, intrigue, suspense, drama and plenty of chemistry rounds out this fast paced story. The characters are fantastic as is their storyline.
Piper Stone tells a compelling story about the lives of a mafia family. Corruption, illegal dealings, betrayal, but also finding love, enjoying life and what it is to have family that protects everything you stand for. Very good story. Please read.
Rapture Montgomery and Fleur. With their first contact they’re both lit from within. How can they possibly deny the rapture being together brings? Even when dark forces try to end it all, their passion and desire is all consuming. Never ending.
