This book shows what happens when two souls meet that are mean to be together. What started as a chance encounter for Maise and Adonis turned into a beautiful love story. Maise faced betrayal on so many levels from people who she loved and thought she could trust but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Adonis helped her find a voice again and she helped him find the melody he was looking for.
Although both Maise and Adonis had their own issues they were dealing with they formed a friendship that grew into more. They were connected through the music and were able to get the healing that they needed. I thought it was cute how they expressed themselves to each other through songs on their playlist. They were both there for each other to lift each other up when they needed it most and really had a great connection and partnership. It was really nice watching their love blossom across the pages. I also liked the little musical family they formed with her friends and other artists when they were working on her album. The ending brought the book full circle and it was nice seeing Maise’s come up after all she went through to get there.
🎼🎤Lanette has done it again. This book was so good…it the right amount of messiness and drama with a great emphasis on healing… both main characters were absolutely amazing. A good work place, close proximity romance. Adonis gave the right amount of BDE and Maisie wasn’t in the business of resistance. 🎶🎹 10/10 highly recommend for sure….⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There’s something about being loved right after heartbreak, betrayal, and disloyalty that makes it all worth going through…
Even though Keyz to Her Soul is a romance novel, it’s so much more than that. It’s a story about finding yourself after chaos and picking up the pieces while moving toward healing, even when you feel like you’re being dragged through broken glass every step of the way and can’t quite see the light at the end of the tunnel yet.
It’s about opening up the darkest parts of yourself and allowing the right people to help you along the way.
When you sit down to read Keyz to Her Soul, make sure you have a soft place to land and a box of tissues. This body of work will take you on a journey through every emotion, and maybe, just maybe, you will see a little of yourself in the pages. I know I did.
love & sisterhood…. sisterhood & love?? I’m here for it.
First I’d like to say we ALL have had that one “friend” that was a hating ahh troll!!!! This book will have you feeling love, loss, giggling and screaming “you foul ahh trolllllll” at the page!! This book gives OG Destiny’s Child vibes, you know, when there was 4 members…. Then dropped to 3…. 👀👀👀👀 this book takes you through real adult friendships, betrayal out of this WORLD, a LOT of love, allowing NEW friendships to flourish and finding YOUR PEOPLE. I loved this read & cannot wait to see what the next books bring. Because someone PLEASEEEEEEEE tell me our girl Chakendra gets her mannnnnnnn 😫😫😫🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I really enjoyed the story of A.D. Keyz and Maisie! They were both everything each other needed. I enjoyed the pace of the book especially how he didn’t rush her into a relationship and took time to help heal her before spoiling her with the love she deserved. My absolute favorite part of the book is that Spotify playlist!! Looking forward to reading Kendra’s story
Betrayal. Messiness. Lemons into lemonade. I enjoyed this story a lot. I liked how Adonis poured into Maisie and when he needed lifting, she reciprocated!
