Forbidden?
First time reading from this author, and it was truly interesting. Symone finds out that she's been an unknowing and unwilling side chick in her boyfriend's marriage, decides to go on a girls' trip to Jamaica, and gets more than she bargained for from her vacation bae. This was so entertaining because I didn't feel like Symone and Bishop's relationship was forbidden. Honestly, I felt like it was what her boyfriend deserved, and I wanted her to stop feeling guilty about it. Bishop, for his part, was sexy and kept the same energy from start to finish. He wanted Symone and didn't care who knew it.

Messy, but I still had a good time reading this. Symone getting her "news" after the trip and then telling Bishop felt rushed; it all wrapped up way too fast for me. Also, this has nothing to do with my rating, but I really would've loved a man with salt-and-pepper hair on the cover.

Symone is a successful woman trying to recover from betrayal, but what really drew me in was how real her emotional struggle felt. Her journey isn’t rushed—Cyan gives her space to be hurt, confused, guarded, and eventually open again. She also gives her a friend who knows exactly when it’s time to snatch her out of her funk, because sometimes a girls’ trip really is therapy.
And then there’s Bishop. Whew. A clear upgrade in every way—older, confident, intentional, and the exact kind of danger Symone didn’t know she needed. Their chemistry jumps off the page from the moment they meet. What starts as a one-night escape spirals into a connection that neither of them is prepared for.
On top of that, the father–son plot twist was bold, unexpected, and executed so well. Cyan Bleu gives each character just enough depth and backstory for readers to form real opinions (Lorenzo? Absolutely not!).
From longing to secrets, and secrets to revenge, this book knows how to build tension. And once things come undone, the fallout is just as explosive as the romance.

Listen… Forbidden Entanglement wasted absolutely no time pulling me into the chaos and I loved every reckless second of it!
Symone is heartbroken after finding out her “man” has been lying to her for over a year. Chile…..all caps MESSY! She lets her bestie talk her into getting away from the drama to get lick back. Enter: a cruise 🚢 to Montego Bay. Immediately my brain sang that one song:

Bermuda, Bahama, come on, pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby, why don't we go…. 🎶

Thank you to Cyan Bleu for the advance copy of Forbidden Entanglement. This book had me spiraling immediately. Age gap, forbidden romance, secretaries, the whole mess. I was stressed, seated, and fully invested.
The tension between Symone and Bishop is hot and fated in the worst way, so every choice hits harder. Messy, reckless, and emotionally unhinged, Forbidden Entanglement had me in a chokehold long after I finished. When it’s time for a lick back, just know I’m going feral, and he is absolutely going to feel me.

Talk About A Rollercoaster
This book had drama, yearning, a girls’ trip, and men with money; all my favorite things—wrapped up in an entanglement.
It was such a good read. The whirlwind of emotions is really what set this story off. So much was happening, yet I never once felt lost. And best of all? No fluff—which I absolutely loved.
My favorite characters were Bishop and Choyce! The story is full of conflict of interest but also delivers moments of healing that really hit.
Without giving spoilers, go ahead and read it. I promise, it’s a good time.

A Must Read!
Messy, emotional, and addictive. Symone is a successful lawyer learning to choose herself after betrayal. I loved the supportive friendship and the much needed reset.
Bishop was a total standout…mature, confident, and a clear upgrade. Entertaining, healing, and absolutely worth the read.

Honestly, the tea was so hot I’m surprised my Kindle didn't melt. This wasn't just an entanglement; it was a whole web of “oh no they didn’t.” Bishop is a menace and I’m obsessed. 5 stars for the drama, 10 stars for the spice! 🌶️

Very good book and a great read! You will fall in love with Simone and Bishop. It is a wonderful love story with a mix of mess!
