Symone I swore I wouldn’t fall for another man, but then there was Bishop Montague. Charming, intriguing… and twice my age. We were only supposed to be a one night stand. But he touched me like he’d studied my body in another lifetime, like he already knew what my soul was starving for… and I wasn’t strong enough to resist.
Bishop I told myself Symone was off-limits… too young, too bold, too damn distracting. But the way Symone looked at me felt like an invitation. Something about her called to my spirit… and I wasn’t strong enough to refuse.
What started as temptation quickly spiraled. We wanted each other in ways neither of us should. And when the truth unfolded, neither one of us wanted to back down. Now, love, lust, and vengeance are all entangled. And this forbidden love might cost us more than we ever dreamed.
Well this was a messy book, but I wanted Symone to lean into the villain role more 🤷🏾♀️ Like if you gone do the ish, do it and be unapologetic about it. All that crying and ish girl be fr. You out here raw dogging this mans father and you want to get a conscience?? Why? I didn't understand it, because the actions were not matching the thoughts at all. I get it, I really do, but once she kept crossing the lines I wasn't beat for the cry baby story line. And then why was Lorenzo not blocked?? Chile please
I liked Bishop, but he was a shady azz father period. Lmao like father like son, both some selfish azz 🥷🏾s. Bishop said he was choosing his happiness over his son...and did🤣 Lorenzo's character was the weakest link throughout the whole damn story, well he started off strong and then his fkboy ways came on through and I really just got sick of seeing him on the page.
This was the ultimate get my lick back story that could have benefited from less pages and less pretend caring about crossing lines.
First time reading from this author, and it was truly interesting. Symone finds out that she's been an unknowing and unwilling side chick in her boyfriend's marriage, decides to go on a girls' trip to Jamaica, and gets more than she bargained for from her vacation bae. This was so entertaining because I didn't feel like Symone and Bishop's relationship was forbidden. Honestly, I felt like it was what her boyfriend deserved, and I wanted her to stop feeling guilty about it. Bishop, for his part, was sexy and kept the same energy from start to finish. He wanted Symone and didn't care who knew it.
Messy, but I still had a good time reading this. Symone getting her "news" after the trip and then telling Bishop felt rushed; it all wrapped up way too fast for me. Also, this has nothing to do with my rating, but I really would've loved a man with salt-and-pepper hair on the cover.
Well hot damn, this was fast paced, straight to the point. It was juicy and so freaking good! I couldn’t put this book down, mad it took me so long to even start it.
Highly recommend for ya to read this one! You won’t be disappointed at all.
Forbidden Entanglement delivers everything I love in a romance dripping with tension, secrets, and messy decisions that refuse to stay buried. Cyan Bleu creates a story that is emotional, addictive, and impossible to walk away from.
Symone is a successful woman trying to recover from betrayal, but what really drew me in was how real her emotional struggle felt. Her journey isn’t rushed—Cyan gives her space to be hurt, confused, guarded, and eventually open again. She also gives her a friend who knows exactly when it’s time to snatch her out of her funk, because sometimes a girls’ trip really is therapy.
And then there’s Bishop. Whew. A clear upgrade in every way—older, confident, intentional, and the exact kind of danger Symone didn’t know she needed. Their chemistry jumps off the page from the moment they meet. What starts as a one-night escape spirals into a connection that neither of them is prepared for.
On top of that, the father–son plot twist was bold, unexpected, and executed so well. Cyan Bleu gives each character just enough depth and backstory for readers to form real opinions (Lorenzo? Absolutely not!).
From longing to secrets, and secrets to revenge, this book knows how to build tension. And once things come undone, the fallout is just as explosive as the romance.
Listen… Forbidden Entanglement wasted absolutely no time pulling me into the chaos and I loved every reckless second of it!
Symone is heartbroken after finding out her “man” has been lying to her for over a year. Chile…..all caps MESSY! She lets her bestie talk her into getting away from the drama to get lick back. Enter: a cruise 🚢 to Montego Bay. Immediately my brain sang that one song: 🎶 Aruba, Jamaica, ooh, I wannatake ya to Bermuda, Bahama, come on, pretty mama Key Largo, Montego, baby, why don't we go…. 🎶
Ok back to the review 🙃
While on vacation, she meets a handsome “stranger” and what was supposed to be a one-night stand turns into way more. Their chemistry was immediate, intense, and so deliciously layered in ways neither of them could’ve predicted.
What really got me was how fast temptation turned into something deeper. And once the truth started unraveling…….Whew!
This story gave me passion, consequences, and just enough emotional chaos to keep me locked in. Forbidden love always seems to hit hardest when you know it’s going to cost you something—and this one definitely collects.
Would I recommend it? 10/10 Absolutely! Would I judge these characters in real life? Yes. LOL 🤨😂 Did I enjoy every dramatic, entangled moment? Without a doubt!
Forbidden Entanglement? Yes, it absolutely was! 😏 Symone first got entangled with Lorenzo — her client 👔 — and when Lorenzo entanglement with her (you’ll see when you read it). But the real shocker was the final entanglement with Bishop… Lorenzo’s father. 😳😮💨🔥
Morally, Symone and Bishop probably should not have happened… but if we’re talking ultimate lick back? This was it. 💅🏽✨😈 Lorenzo did Symone dirty during their relationship 💔, and then Bishop came in with that mature, seasoned, grown-man energy 🖤🥃. The sex between them was intense, unforgettable, and honestly addictive 😮🔥💋🔥. She went from being played like Lorenzo cold leftovers 🥶🍽️ to Bishop’s premium main course 👑✨💎.
Bishop showed her what real treatment, attention, and desire looked like 🫶🏽❤️🔥. Even with the complicated reality, he still wanted to pursue something real with her 💯❤️. And in the end, things came together in a satisfying way 🥰📖✨.
Now I’m curious… did Choyce and Niko stay a thing? 👀📚💞
Yall this book was Heavy on the messy. So Simone works at this firm and in walks June Bug (look i forgot his name already becuase he’s irrelevant i think it’s Leonard or some shit, anywho). His father has just hired the firm to represent their company. He is smitten with Symone and boom they’re dating. Fast forward, it’s a year later and she finds out he has a wife and kids. She’s devastated.
Boom, her and her best girlfriend go on a trip to Montego Bay and she meets this fine fine salt and pepa man (yall love old men, yall mamas ain’t tell yall that they have worms?) Boom they fall in love at first sight but then she realizes, it’s his damn daddy!
This book is messy. It gives age gap, forbidden love, revenge dating and all that jazz. The story line was really good and it flowed very well. This book kept my attention and definitely kept me entertained . I give it 4.5 stars

The 2 main leads were absolute garbage, but I was entertained! Bishop was the worst imo. Sy didn't really owe them niggas nothing. Bishop was a horrible father and husband, but still expected his son to kiss his ass and respect him. He one of them parents that expect respect while giving nothing. He didn't even try to do therapy or nothing to heal his relationship with his son. His bitch ass read a letter and cried that he deserves happiness lol. His smugness about fucking his son girl was disgusting. He never put his son first in life. Of course he gonna do right by the new baby. Roll my eyes! Other than that the sex scenes were good. Niko and chyoce were cool.
Forbidden Entanglement by @cyanbleu_thepenpusha is releasing tomorrow!
This was good ole mess. I had a time reading about Symone and Bishop.
Bishop is confident, charming, and commands the attention of any room he walks into. While he’s a boss in his own right, in silence, he’s battling with grief.
Symone is successful, independent, and just stepping away from the man she thought would be her forever. A trip to Jamaica turns her world upside down.
Temptation and 24 hours unite two people battling loss and grief. There is instant attraction extending beyond a one day link up. They have unfinished business but will they act on it?
Thank you to Cyan Bleu for the advance copy of Forbidden Entanglement. This book had me spiraling immediately. Age gap, forbidden romance, secretaries, the whole mess. I was stressed, seated, and fully invested.
The tension between Symone and Bishop is hot and fated in the worst way, so every choice hits harder. Messy, reckless, and emotionally unhinged, Forbidden Entanglement had me in a chokehold long after I finished. When it’s time for a lick back, just know I’m going feral, and he is absolutely going to feel me.
This book had drama, yearning, a girls’ trip, and men with money; all my favorite things—wrapped up in an entanglement.
It was such a good read. The whirlwind of emotions is really what set this story off. So much was happening, yet I never once felt lost. And best of all? No fluff—which I absolutely loved.
My favorite characters were Bishop and Choyce! The story is full of conflict of interest but also delivers moments of healing that really hit.
Without giving spoilers, go ahead and read it. I promise, it’s a good time.
To me it became deeper than just lick back Both found second chance at happiness and peace love
I'm glad Renzo grew up changed the way he thought and building back relationships with his dad most definitely should have never married Tantya at all...But he free making better decisions...
Now Choyce I wish I could have gotten more about her relationship with his Bishop cousin....
I loved the author's style of writing. The storyline had me hooked from the first page. The chemistry between Symone and Bishop was off the charts and the spice was spicing! I absolutely love Choyce and her friendship with Symone- everyone needs a friend like her. The ending of the story was chef's kiss and was wrapped up nicely. Overall a brilliant first read from this author, I'll be waiting for your next masterpiece.
Messy, emotional, and addictive. Symone is a successful lawyer learning to choose herself after betrayal. I loved the supportive friendship and the much needed reset.
Bishop was a total standout…mature, confident, and a clear upgrade. Entertaining, healing, and absolutely worth the read.
Now that's how you get your lick back, Symone sure got her lick back on Lorenzo! Bishop and Symone chemistry was everything! Symone got to step in her soft era! Great story!!
Bishop big daddy played no games with that BDE and applyin pressure 😛😘. Nic love him and Cho. This was so good just amount of messy and spice 🥵chef kiss I’ll def give this 5 stars.
Honestly, the tea was so hot I’m surprised my Kindle didn't melt. This wasn't just an entanglement; it was a whole web of “oh no they didn’t.” Bishop is a menace and I’m obsessed. 5 stars for the drama, 10 stars for the spice! 🌶️
Now listen. If that won’t the get back of the century. Omg. The best part was she didn’t know how effective the get back was going to be. I’m glad everything worked out in her favor. Her ex will learn the next time he lies and play in someone’s face.
Okay I liked this! Giving it a 3.25. I'm all for the girlies getting their lick back, and Symone got hers (unknowingly)! Age gaps usually aren't my thing, but if I had me a Bishop? Yeah I'd be gone too 😂
Whelp Lorenzo got a strong dose of karma. Symone had the ultimate get back. I loved the plot. The timing of things kind of threw me off but good read overall.
