Bound to the Shadow King

Wolf Crowned: An enemies-to-lovers rejected mate fae / shifter romantasy

Rate this book
The king I love is now my enemy.

Trapped in a court of powerful fae where every smile hides a blade, I have to become as ruthless as they are if I want to survive. But survival isn't enough—not when the people I love are the price of failure.

To save them, I’ll have to face a truth that changes everything and embrace a part of me I never knew existed.

Because something inside me is awakening.

The land whispers to my wolf. Strange dreams call me deeper into a world that feels more like home with every passing day. And something inside me is answering.

But I’m not the only one changing.

Every day we’re apart, the darkness Kaeleron fought so hard to overcome is sinking its claws into him again—and the wrathful Shadow King the fae still whisper about in fear is returning.

And soon there may be nothing he won’t destroy to get me back.

I need to escape. I need to get back to him.

Before one of us does something that can’t be undone.

This time, I'm not fighting for my freedom.

I'm fighting for us.

This is such an addictive series. I cannot describe how I never want it to end! I love Saphi and Kael and are relieved that they can finally be together.
This book has so many good twists and turns, including the one at the end I never saw coming. I love the longing looks and heated scenes with determined Saphi, and Kael who is slowly going out of his mind without her. So good!
I am sad for this to be the end of their journey, but cannot wait to see what treats Felicity has in store for her next reading extravaganza.

✨ ARC Review ✨

Wolf Crowned by Felicity Heaton

“I would destroy all the realms to take her back!”

Wolf Crowned is the third book in the Bound to the Shadow King series by Felicity Heaton. This is an enemies-to-lovers rejected mate fae / shifter romantasy.

"do not think there is a distance I would not cross to have you, my love.”

I was so lucky to be able to arc read for this book and though it may have taken me longer to finish than intended I really was sucked into this world and was on the edge the entire time. This book was big, beautiful, intense and so much more, I don't know whether I finished this book or it finished me!

“I would fight to protect my kingdom, but for you I would go to war."

Every time I read these books I am reminded that I still absolutely adore these MCs. The chemistry, the raw passion, the obsession with each other is delicious. Their love is just goals, chefs kiss!! It was amazing to see both characters grow and develop throughout this book and their individual journeys really made them a stronger couple!

“You are mine, as I am yours. I do not need fate to tell me that. I only need this heart that beats for you.”

There was so much in this that had me processing for days and I am still reeling from the events in this, I genuinely can't wait for more cause yes it was a satisfying ending but damn I have so many questions!

🐺 Enemies to lovers
🖤 Touch her and 💀
🐺 Shadow daddy MC
🖤 Seelie and Unseelie fae

I was absolutely not ready for what came!!

We started right on the edge of where book 2 left us! High intensity & diabolical claims!!!
Had to crawl back up from that cliff & get my bearings and again, I still wasn't ready for what was coming!!!!

I have loved Saphira since the second she was introduced in book 1 somehow I love her even more, like a thousand times more!! Her growth has been beautiful and extremely fun to watch unfold. She doesn't disappoint one bit here in book 3, in fact her change is even more magnificent the entire way through this part of theor journey!

Kaeleron is all dark & wonderfully beautiful things, wrapped up into a "stupidly beautiful" package! The way he adores not only her but all of his family will grab ahold of you and not left go!

They're both possessive, sassy, quick witted, passionate aF and I ate it down, every single word!

The twist that came stopped me in my tracks! There were a couple that I would never have guessed & never even thought a possibility until it happened!!

The supporting characters are the perfect pieces to make this story whole. I found myself attached to them as well as our fmc&mmc. This is definitely a book and series worth reading again and again!

I have been awaiting this third book in the Bound to the Shadow King series and it was worth it. This story embodies the paranormal elements that this author is known for with surprising revelations about the main characters.

Saphira is magnificent as she falls into a new role at the Summer Court determined to find answers for Kael and herself. Without revealing too much, Saphira and Kael are challenged beyond what they have already endured and their journey back to each other proves their bond.

As with the earlier books, the world building is exquisite and detailed and I confess I lost much sleep to finish and learn the outcome. I do recommend reading the 2 earlier books in the series to better appreciate what they must overcome.

I received an advance reader copy which did not impact my review.

What an epic conclusion of Saphira and Kaeleron’s story!! Felicity knocked it out of the park with book 3 in her Bound to the Shadow King series and can’t wait for readers to feel the same when it releases Sept 15th.

This book picks right up after book 2 events and follows Saphira as she goes to the Summer Court and tries to learn more of her parentage. While in the Summer Court, she navigates court politics, a ruthless and conniving heir that wants her dead and trying to figure out secrets surrounding her birth plus her secret agenda. She longs to return back to the Shadow Court and be with Kael but she knows she can only go back until her mission is complete.

But sweet, soft “only for her” Kael. He is going crazy with Saphi not by his side and in enemy territory. He knows she can handle herself but feels helpless as she navigates her mission without him. He learns he can go to her only when the time is right/ she gets the info she needs and in the meantime, he preps his Court for war as he knows that’s inevitable.

Wow oh wow. Will always be amazed with Felicity’s world-building, character development and storytelling. This story was crafted so well, really enjoyed reading what happens next for Saphi + Kael and the twist and turns they go through. The battle scenes were epic and the twist about who Saphi truly becomes was so cool!

Y’all, please read this series if you are in need of a romantasy reco! You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Felicity for the gifted ARC. Can’t want to read what’s next in this series! Is the next book about a certain sister? 😏

I started writing this review not far into the book, and let's just say I was slightly terrified by my feral notes at the end, so I have had to cut out most of my obnoxious fangirling because this review would just never end.

What an absolutely incredible finale. It was impeccable. Watching everything finally fall into place, seeing vengeance had, love victorious, and so many pieces of the story come together was incredibly satisfying. The story continued to evolve with every turn, constantly surprising me, while somehow giving me exactly the things I was hoping for.

I usually focus my reviews on the people, and trust me, I will always get to the people, but it was the world of this story that had me completely hypnotised. There are so many layers. So many lands, so much magic, and so many different paths that haven't even been explored yet. Everything feels so vibrant and intricate, and the writing made it all so easy to get lost in. I genuinely feel like we have barely scratched the surface of this world, and I need more.

Now, Saphira is a complete badass. She is fierce, ferocious, and fearless, but all of that is driven by this immense heart. Her journey in this book was everything. Being taken to a new court, leaving everything she knows behind to protect the people she loves, while finally facing the truth of her despicable lineage and trying to survive in her new role while secretly working from within. She is constantly discovering new facets of who she is and evolving, with some surprising and magical revelations that really upped the magic in this world to another level!

And then there is Kaeleron, the darkest, most bloodthirsty, deliciously whipped fae man ever! He was born to be king and would do anything for his people. He is loyal and unwavering, and did I mention a shadow daddy?! He is known as the Wrathful King for a reason, and we love his ruthless, depraved side, but this man is so completely devoted to his woman. When Saphira is taken, he is ready to burn the entire world to the ground to get her back. His heart only beats for her, and he will stop at nothing to make her his queen. But what I loved the most was how much he empowered her. He wasn't there to strike down her enemies. He was happy to sharpen her dagger and clear a path for her. After all, he loved her murdery side.

And together? They were teasing, banter, snark, push and pull. They loved nothing more than riling each other up. They mirrored each other in so many ways.

Stubborn? Check.

Possessive? Check.

Touch her or him and die? Check.

Insatiable? Check.

Two hearts that somehow beat only for each other? Check.

It was just so apparent in every look, every word, every touch that these two are fated. They were stunning together. That kind of home and comfort for each other that is so nauseatingly perfect you can’t help but melt. They loved every facet of each other, even the darker, bloodier, more feral parts, and I absolutely ate it up.

And now I am sitting here desperately wanting more. There are characters I need stories for, places I still want to explore, and so many possibilities for where this world could go next. I am praying to all the book gods that Felicity has another series planned in this world. And honestly, if it's more than one, I certainly won't be complaining. I went into this series not knowing just how much it would consume me, and now that I'm at the end, I'm absolutely not ready to let this world go. This series has my heart.

Wolf Crowned pulls you straight into the heart of everything that has been building across this series, and it does so with a fierce, almost desperate intensity that feels earned after the earlier books.

The story finds Saphira trapped once more in the glittering, treacherous world of the fae, where every gesture of courtesy can hide a knife and where the only way to protect the people she loves is to become harder, sharper, and more ruthless than the court that holds her.

What makes this final chapter land so hard is the way it balances that external pressure with something far more intimate…. the quiet, insistent awakening of a power inside her that the land itself seems to recognize and call to. Her wolf answers in ways that feel both terrifying and strangely right, turning the fae realm from a place of captivity into something that begins to feel like a second home, even as danger closes in from every side.

At the same time, the distance from Kaeleron is doing its own brutal work. The darkness he once fought so hard to contain is rising again, and the wrathful Shadow King the fae still fear is slipping back into place.

Their separation becomes its own kind of battlefield, one where love and desperation twist together until it is impossible to tell which will win.

The enemies to lovers tension that has always defined them reaches a new pitch here, no longer simply about trust or desire but about whether two people who have already lost so much can still choose each other before one of them crosses a line that cannot be uncrossed.

What i liked most is the determination that drives Saphira. She is no longer fighting only for her own freedom, she is fighting for the fragile, hard won “us” that exists between her and the king who once claimed her.

The dual perspectives let you feel every moment of that struggle from both sides, the slow, painful pull of the mate bond, the political knives at her back, the growing sense that something ancient and powerful is stirring inside her, and the terrifying knowledge that Kaeleron’s control is fraying.

The result is a story that feels both larger than the earlier books and more personal, a climax that refuses to let either character off the hook.

By the time the last pages arrive, the series has delivered on the promise of its dark, addictive blend of shifter and fae romantasy.

It is messy, high stakes, and full of the kind of yearning that leaves you a little breathless.

If you have followed Saphira and Kaeleron this far, Wolf Crowned gives their story the fierce, hard won resolution it deserves, one that stays with you long after the final page.

I know technically the trilogy has ended, and I’m sad, both these characters have wormed their way into my heart. But on the plus side, we do have another book featuring Saphira and Kaeleron coming out. I’m not sure if it will begin a new chapter for the pair, or if it’s just a prelude to a new book. But either way I’m glad the author hasn’t finished with our Shadow King and his “little wolf” 🖤 🐺

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚖𝚢 𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚖𝚢.

WE’RE BACK IN LUCIA BABBY! This is the FINAL book in the Shadow King trilogy and it did NOT disappoint! THIS BOOK WAS A ROLLERCOASTER!

Saphi has come SO far🥹 Watching her spend so much of this story trying to figure out who she is where she belongs and who she’s truly meant to be honestly hit me right in the feels?! She went from trying to survive to finally embracing herself and stepping into her power. She became such a badass and watching her finally start to believe in herself made me SO freaking proud of her!

And Kael.. my Shadow King🥵 I already adored this man but he really said let me give you even MORE reasons to be obsessed with me. Watching the darkness he fought so hard to overcome start creeping back in had me STRESSED but his determination to get Saphi back?? The obsession, the protectiveness, the devotion.. I was FERAL! This man would absolutely destroy everything standing between him and Saphi. Honestly? I support it.

I’m OBSESSED with Saphi and Kael. Their love knows NO BOUNDS. No matter what gets thrown at them, how far apart they are, they always find their way back to each other. The intensity, the devotion, the banter, the softness, the chaos, the I will burn the world down for you energy. THE DAGGER TO THROAT?!🤭

This book wrapped up this trilogy SO perfectly! There was SO much action, so many things in play, the twists, the reveals, the chaos?! I was fully invested until the very last page! My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest the entire time! I absolutely ADORE the world Felicity has built. I’m SO excited to see where she takes us next in Lucia and I’m really hoping we get to see a few of my favorite side characters get their happily ever after too (Jenavyr & Riordan, I’m side eyeing yall)! Overall, this trilogy is everything I wanted it to be!

All I can say is GO ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR, GO READ THIS!! If you’ve been waiting to start this trilogy, THIS IS YOUR SIGN🫶🏻

I absolutely loved this series. The second and third book were a little slower to me, but full of so much information! I loved how the beginning of this book Saphira was in a place where she was so lost. Right when she thought she was figuring out who she was and where she belonged and her strength, she gets thrown into a whole new world (well, whole new court).

She has to go through so much in order to figure out the information that she seeks, while being in danger the entire time.

The yearning and love radiating from Kaeleron in this book was tangible. He was so possessed by his need for Saphira that he didn’t have many other thoughts going on, besides how to get her back. It was a very different side to the unseelie king than we have seen previously.

I am happy to see that throughout the book Saphira found her strength and confidence again, pushing aside all the doubt that clouded her. Her character had been through so much throughout the series, it was nice to see it end on a high note.

The love these two share is rough and gritty and gory. It wasn’t something that happened in the first couple chapters of the series, or even quite the first book, but it grew to something that the readers rooted and cheered for. Kaeleron’s darkness never deterred Saphira, as it would have many others. It called to her, which minimized how dark some of his actions actually were, humanizing him in a way.

Overall I loved the ending and I think this was such a well-rounded story. I loved all of the characters, and would really love to see more on some of them (cough cough can we get books on Malachi, Oberon, and Riordan/Jenavyr?).

There were a couple things that were left unexplained, but I just realized that there will be another book coming out in February! I am curious what adventures we will have next and can’t wait to see what Lucia has in store for Kaeleron & Saphira.

I am OBSESSED with Saphira and Kaeleron. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I need more of it.

Felicity could write 10 more books in this series and I will devour each and every one of them.

Wolf Crowned was everything I wanted it to be. It was the perfect conclusion to Kael and Saphi's love story (or is it??) bringing Saphi's fate to the forefront and leaving her with a choice that could change everything.

Being at the Seelie court brought so much tension and angst to the story. Saphi being apart from Kael and navigating the truth of her heritage, while trying to keep herself alive amongst enemies had my heart racing.

There's something so satisfying about seeing the bad guys get what they deserve, and Elduin, Lorian and Sylvan deserve slow and painful endings. Every time they were on the page I wanted someone to kill them, so Felicity did a great job making them so unlikeable.

The found family in this series a total chef's kiss, but so are the real family bonds. I love Meiryn, Chase and Vyr, and even Fallow's small role with Rhyn constantly trying to marry his brother off. And of course Oberon, Morden, Neve, Arianell, Malachi and Riordan are great characters. There's still so much left to explore for these characters. I need more of all of them, as their stories are certainly not finished with each other and I have a feeling there's going to be another battle on the horizon. I have questions, and I know there's another book coming so I'm sure I'll get some much-needed answers!

Seriously, I'm obsessed and addicted to this series. I can't wait to see what's in store for the gang in Rites of Shadow and Frost.

Arc Review

Wolf Crowned by @felicityheaton

Thanks you for the e arc, for an honest review.

Just you know I haven't not been able to even want to pick up a nother book after finishing this... Its taken over my mind and I don't mind.

Kael, oh my damn, Kael... The man that you are. SOFT only for Saphi. She's you entire world and you would do anything to want to protect her even if you have to let her go through her own trials and tribulations, knowing that she goes through unimaginable pain and suffers, you will stand by and let her Rise to her own person, giving her that anchor through the dark that she needs to remind her that whoever, whatever she is and becomes you still love her to her core and the person she is and is becoming.

I just love Kael and Saphi, that's all folks, the heart wrenching moments I'm never getting over as I was just not thinking and one point as I couldn't read my eyes were blood shot from crying too much. But I was also laughing out loud. Kael and his people from his court are the found family I love wholeheartedly.

And you can always point that dagger 🗡️ at him he don't mind that fore play, oh was that hot 🔥 or what the sassy attitude, the sarky and whit is what made me feel in love with the whole series. It's a gut in a punch ✊👊 kind a book.

And the yearning, longing looks and playing pretend hating each other oh my heart skips a beat with the flirty Kael.

Will be released and available on KU from the 15 September 2026

What a fantastic conclusion to Kael and Saphira’s story! I loved it! The plot twists, the yearning, and the banter had me completely captivated, and I did not want to put this book down. Wolf Crowned picks up right where Wolf Hunted left off, with Saphira being taken to the Summer Court. There, she learns more about her lineage while navigating the Summer Court politics and trying to spy for Kael. Meanwhile, Kael is back in the Shadow Court, taking out his frustration on a certain alpha wolf and preparing his court for an inevitable war.

I really enjoyed Saphira embracing her fae side. She has grown so much throughout this series, and I love how confident she is and how she takes charge of her own destiny. Poor Kael is left behind in his Shadow Court, and he definitely goes through all the emotions without his little wolf. Watching him prepare his court for war and for Saphira’s return was so good. I loved when they finally reunited! They truly are perfect together!

That ending was perfection! I’m so not over this world or this series! I hope the next book may be about a certain sister. 🤞

If you love romantasy with seelie/unseelie fae, wolf shifters, a shadow daddy MMC, court intrigue, secrets, plot twists, plenty of banter, and yearning, then add Wolf Crowned to your TBR!

Thank you Felicity Heaton and team for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

'I was a wolf. Born of mountains and snow, of the north. Forged in shadow and starlight. Blessed by the moon.'

If felicity writes it I will read it. This story, i thought, was the perfect conclusion to Saphira and Kael's story but then I see a 4th book coming next year 👀 so I'm gonna need to read that ASAP!

This book quite literally carries on from book 2 and is following Saphira in the Summer Court where she is trying to find out about her heritage. Throw in some court drama, unlikeable men (I'm looking at you Lorien 😒) and secrets and betrayals, it is an addicting read.
Whilst Saphira is away, oh my god does Kael yearn for her. He is down so bad and can barely hold it together. The tension and the yearning is just something else and when they finally reunite... *chefs kiss*

I adored the dual POV in this especially when Saphira and Kael were separated because you could just feel the longing and emotion in the chapters. The found family aspect is also done so beautifully. The side characters all have their moments and the way they look out for each other is just so heart-warming. Hopefully we will get more POV's on certain side characters because I definitely feel there is more to know!

Anyways, this was so perfect and I loved it! 100% recommend! Thank you Felicity for the eARC 🫶🏼💕

Loved this story! It is the end of the main part of the story but it’s not the end of these characters and I can’t wait to see where they go next.

First off the Summer Court. I loved that part of the story. Seeing Saphira come into her fae half. Watching her interact with her half siblings and “uncle” as she tries to spy for Kaleron. And what she manages to uncover…. It changes everything.

Poor Kaleron as he’s left behind does not handle it well, barely leashing his power from destroying his court as he worries about his little wolf. But he does start working on plans for the future for when he gets her back. And tortures the soul of a certain ex mate who totally deserves it.

When the two of them finally reunite it is perfect. Then where the story goes from there…. I think just about every character got the ending they deserve. Except one but I think his is coming.

Theres one romance that pushes itself a little closer together. And one I think is going to form eventually that is interesting. Then there are sibling relationships that I hope to see more of. But that’s all I’m going to say on any of that.

If you are looking for heart palpitations and butterflies, you need to read Wolf Crowned. Who doesn't love a story where the MMC is hurt and the first question asked is, "Where did she stab you this time?"

If you want feral energy, claws, fangs, and never tire of hearing "mine," you need to read the Bound to the Shadow King series by Felicity Heaton. Saphi and Kael are one of my favorite romantasy couples. I loved seeing their evolution and their unwavering dedication to each other and the people they love. Kael is a top-tier "shadow daddy" who purrs "mine" in Saphi's ear, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Saphi embrace her clever, brave, and slightly feral power.

Since Book 2, Wolf Hunted, ended on a massive cliffhanger, I was dying to find out what happened next. I was lucky enough to be gifted an eARC for Book 3, Wolf Crowned, and it was an absolute emotional rollercoaster. I held my breath with anticipation as I turned every page, and I even found myself screaming out loud a few times!

My review is voluntary and my opinions my own.

I just devoured this story! It kept me totally captivated and I had such a hard time putting it down! There’s so much growth in these characters that was just amazing to see. I loved watching Saphira grow in confidence and just take charge of her destiny! She was an absolute perfect match for Kael! I loved seeing him start preparing his court for the time that Saphi came back to him! A very tumultuous ride for them both and it just pulled at your heart! This author did such an amazing job pulling you into the story and had me rooting for the characters! A few surprises in here that I’m sure we’ll get more information on in later books. Such a wonderful story that will keep you entertained and riveted to the pages! An absolute pleasure to read and I very highly recommend! You definitely have to read Wolf Caged and Wolf Hunted first but they are all absolutely amazing! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

What would you do to make your heart whole?

Wolf Crowned is the third installment in Bound to Shadow King series, and I hope you’re ready for this enchanting tale of strength, love, and finding the truest version of yourself.

Saphira is in a new court. One full of enemies she will have to outwit to stay alive. Kaeleron is on a mission. One to ensure Saphira’s return and to keep his kingdom safe. Is there a price too high for them to pay or will they lose everything that matters?

Wolf Crowned brings so much more to the story than can be imagined. The seeds that have been growing since Wolf Caged have taken root and grow into something larger, stronger, and more powerful than anyone could know.

You’re going to love every minute of this one as questions, more questions, and finally some answers unfold. There are twists, turns, and surprises you won’t expect coming and will love when you read them.

Come back to the Shadow Court and see a Wolf Crowned.

“It surprises me to find your tastes run so dark, yet I must admit this is rather… arousing. I find I like having your blade at my throat almost as much as I enjoyed your fangs.”

To say i am obsessed with Saphira and Kaeleron is an understatement. Their banter is the best, and their chemistry is off the charts.

I loved that this book was about Saphi coming too learn about her fae half of her and in the end making that choice for herself.

The tension was fantastic for thia story while Saphi was in the Seelie Court. I love the dual POVs becaue i just want all the Kaeleron chapters. Saphi having to navigate the Seelie Court without contact with Kael at the beginning was so hard to read but made this story that much more special.

Kaeleron is definitely a top shadow daddy favorite of mine.

4.5⭐️ (rounded up)
I love this series and Kaeleron and Saphira so much! It was super interesting getting to actually see the Seelie court after it was only mentioned in the previous books. It was dual POV, but I did find myself enjoying Saphira’s chapters a bit more. With that being said, Kaeleron will go down as a top tier shadow daddy for me! I love him! I loved learning more about both characters backgrounds in this one, and also the world they live in. While reading book 2, I correctly guessed one of the major plot twists revealed in this one, and it was so satisfying to finally know I was correct. I will never be able to look at dungeons the same after this book (IYKYK 😳). Things were wrapped up nicely by the end of this one, the ending was definitely satisfying! Highly recommend this series, it’s one of my favs! Thank you to Felicity Heaton for the eARC!

What the heck?! This was EVERYTHING I imagined it would be and somehow even better. This is a GOD-TIER series for me. From Book 1 to Book 3, it was phenomenal from start to finish. I genuinely could not put these books down!

The romance, the fight scenes, the yearning, the nicknames, the banter, the plot twists,EVERYTHING! The writing is poetic, phenomenal, amazing, honestly, insert every positive word you can think of!

If you like fantasy with a plot forward story, romance woven in, action, tension, yearning, and plot twists left and right, THIS is the series for you. It has a little bit of everything, and somehow it all works perfectly.

And that ending?! It ended exactly how it needed to…. But wait book 4 we are getting one……

This third book in Saphira and Kaeleron's story concludes their story.... Or does it?

Once again this author draws you into a world that is so beautifully described that you truly believe you are witnessing the scenes yourself.

Saphira is no longer the betrayed, abandoned wolf she was in book 1 but a confident woman who will fight for those she loves, even if it puts her in danger. The twists and turns in this book gives us the answers we were looking for but not in the way that I was expecting.

Highly recommend reading the previous 2 books first otherwise it will leave you confused to some of the references and understanding fully their story and connections to other characters

Enjoyed this series! Like this author’s writing style! Book 3 going on here, so definitely read the previous for the full reading experience. In this one, Saphira and Kaeleron are separated; each fighting to make their way back together, but also both dealing with their own dramas and tribulations. A touching connection between them! It’s great how much they support each other, and each of them is a force of their own. Saph shows great strength and determination fighting for what she believes is right and for those she cares for. Kael continues to fight and show is loyalty to Saph. Love the danger and fantasy in this series. Intriguing series all around!

As Kael and Saphira's story reaches a well-anticipated high, I don't believe we have reached their conclusion. This has been an adventure of epic proportions. Kael and Saphira's growth individually and as a couple over the course of this series has been nothing short of an adventure in and of itself. The flow of this book perfectly picks up where the last left off and finds Saphira embracing her destiny. While one enemy has been defeated, there is still more for them to do before they truly have their happily ever after. But I enjoyed their happy for now, because of all it took to get here. I look forward to reading more about this amazing couple in this magical world of Lucia.

What a fabulous ending to for this trilogy - I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and this book was the cherry on top. Absolutely make sure you have read the previous 2 books before you read this one!

I am not a fan of the MCs being separated because sometimes it can drag on but I found that they were on their own personal journeys at the same time and it helped to round out their characters.

I am excited to see what happens in future books in this realm and there are definitely a couple of side characters that I am absolutely salivating to find out what happens between them!

Unexpected twists and turns in an amazing world... This did start off a little slow, but once it picked up it grabs you until the end. The world building is fantastic, I wish it was a real place you could see. Amazing story, I am not sure where the next book is going in the series, but I can't wait. There are a ton of surprises and information you find out in this one, still not closure on some, so hopefully we get that in the next. This is a really good series with action, love, friendship, and family. Great read!!

Thank you to the author for the eARC! This doesn’t affect my honest review.

I’ve loved the first two in this series and this was no exception. I love that Saphira and Kaeleron continue to grow not only in their relationship but also as leaders and people. It shows they are truly meant to guide and protect all people as they make the tough decisions.

We have continued political intrigue, precarious alliances, and conniving step-siblings that keep this story moving! I loved every second of plot as Saphira and Kaeleron race time to discover who is after them first.

I am beyond obsessed with this series! 😭

"I know what I have, and I will fight to keep it. I will fight to keep her. No... I would fight for my court... but for her, I would go to war." ❤️‍🔥

Saphi & Kael are everything. Their banter never stops throughout the books and I love that the most. Usually the banter dies off as books go on, but not between these two. & their chemistry is just as amazing. They truly complete each other.

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE PEELER EITHER. I seriously lost it and couldn't get it together for a good ten minutes. I'm not giving any other details on it, you'll know when you get there. 😂

This world is amazing, and I know I'll find myself thinking about it all the time. I'm so attached to so many of the characters, and I definitely hope we get more from them because the ending did leave me a little puzzled becauseee - The Bound to the Shadow King series continues in Rites of Shadow and Frost - ?! I'm thinking the author will continue with a different set of characters and have Saphi & Kael in the background, maybe? Idk, but either way I'm here for whatever she delivers!

Thank you so much to Felicity for trusting me with arc reading each of these books, I've found a new favorite world from you. 🖤✨️

While you definitely need to read Wolf Caged and Wolf Hunted, the finale of this particular trilogy is everything tied in a bow. Saphira's evolution from scared and lost little waif to confident and passionate woman has been the hardest journey for her to undertake. She slipped, made mistakes and worked hard to conquer all naysayers. Her becoming the power behind being consort to Kaeleron is evident in every decision she makes.

I have absolutely loved this trilogy!! This book picks up straight where book 2 ended and the emotional roller coaster continues until it terminates at the prefect conclusion.

I was lucky to receive a copy of this book and I have voluntary left a review. The hardbacks have now been ordered direct from author and if you hadn’t already guessed I 100% recommend you read this trilogy. Can’t wait for side character stories.

An enchanting end to their story

I thoroughly enjoyed book one and two, this one was a slow start but 🤔 because I want the main characters to be together always! But it started how it needed to and I got exactly what I wanted from it once they were rejoined together!
I didn't know there was going to be a book 4! Eeeee!
I do hope it shows more of Vyr and Riordon! Crossed fingers.
