ROBOTS! REBELLION! AND THIS SICK-AS-HELL RAILGUN! From Glitch Productions and Oni Press, the record-shattering adaptation of the groundbreaking animated series from writer Wyatt Kennedy (Nights, Witches’ Road) and Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve) continues! Following the annihilation of the human colonists once tasked with gutting its resources in order to maximize shareholder value, the remote exoplanet of Copper 9 stands in ruin. But, beneath the surface, the colonists’ robotic worker drones have built a new kind of life for themselves with purpose, schools, doors, and card games! Now, teenage drone Uzi has made an unlikely bestie in Disassembly Drone N, whose primary purpose, until very recently, was to destroy the worker drones (for reasons). But it’s not just prom dates and awkward silences for these two wacky kids. A mysterious force continues to stalk the drone population from within, leaving a bloody trail of bodies in its wake. It’s a real drag!
once again, super hard to rate obviously the plot was amazing, but it was so all over the place and I feel like if you havent watched the show, it would be verrrrry hard to follow along I wish they didnt change so much dialogue bro and just kept to the script. like either give me the show in comic form, or give me a new plot line, dont give me this in between stuff 🙏 WHERE WAS DAPPER N? WHY WASNT THE NUZI MOMENT WITH THE OG DAPPER BUDDIES THERE ?? COME ONNNNNNN
also V NEEDED MORE ATTENTION TO HER WHEN SHE WAS IN THE PROM DRESS, WHY DID YOU NOT SHOW US
and about the knife dance fight (one of my fav scenes in the entire show), I understand that nothing can come close to the show, but I was not happy with how it was done in the book also! why did they change the personality of the teacher??!!
While not a massive problem, this issue does start showing the problems that come from the comic issue line being shorter than the show itself. Specifically with completely getting rid of Uzi discovering Doll’s murderous tendencies beforehand as well as Uzi and N reuniting before they go to the prom to try and stop V. Instead Uzi goes from being told she has to go to the prom to suddenly at the prom with N already at her side again. Once again, nothing too big but it is a bit worrying and hopefully it won’t cause too many problems later on.
