This is a tale of characters becoming who they are meant to be through the forging of fire. The three main characters each have their own journeys of discovery and either begin as innocent and lovable and become hardened in battle, or start off hardened and end up soft hearted.
I was truly looking forward to every character's POV. The stakes are high and the tension is so well built, you will be anxiously waiting to get back to where the previous person was left!
DeVerna's battle scenes are descriptive and motion picture worthy. This novel is beyond well written, and the voice of each character is clear.
Lux and Cygnus are two sides to a coin, and Wilbur is excellent comedic relief
