I randomly stumbled upon this one, and seeing it was short, I decided to give it a try.
Petra is living life as a reporter, but what many do not know is that she is Medusa. Lysander has been sent undercover to get to know Petra more and ultimately kill her. But as he works closer with Petra, he questions his mission, and he doesn't believe the deaths that are happening around the city are because of her but rather that she is being framed. As sparks start to fly between the two, it becomes clear things are not what they seem. Someone is setting up Petra, and Lysander is finding his desire to kiss her is overriding his mission to kill her.
This was a fast, fun read. I was pulled in instantly, which speaks to the author's writing style. I did not guess who was behind all the deaths, so that was a total surprise. All in all, this was a good read. I could have done without the language that was sprinkled throughout. It was unnecessary and added nothing to the story. But I appreciated it was a closed door/just kisses romance. It ends with a slight cliffhanger to get the reader excited for what's next.
