Riley's Basement

Rate this book
Lincoln's girlfriend won't put out, and for a 22-year-old jock a six month dry spell is unbearable. The basement of his best friend's gay older brother, Riley, isn't the obvious place to take matters in hand, especially with his buddies there too, but Lincoln can't hold back. Far from being shocked, though, Riley's giving Lincoln every sign he's enjoying the unexpected exhibitionism.

Being the center of attention proves addictive, especially when Lincoln's stretching boundaries unlock some of the secrets his friends have been keeping. What began from simple desperation quickly comes to challenge everything Lincoln thought he knew about himself – and the people he's closest to.

Blurred lines in the basement are one thing, but can Lincoln's new self-discoveries ever be brought up into the light?

"Riley's Basement" is high-heat gay erotica and is intended for adult readers only.

If you’re itching for a full-length book with absolutely no substance other than over the top, unsafe, sometimes public group smut, then this is for you! 😂

This book is available through the author’s website for free, and I gotta hand it to them. They were truly creative in the absolute depravity and wild scenarios that Lincoln gets into!

This book is told from the point of view of dude bro Lincoln, who is super pent-up due to his girlfriend wanting to wait until marriage (and him finding her deeply unattractive). Obvious solution would be to break up with her, right? NO! The solution is clearly to have lots of unsafe and possibly illegal s*xual fun with every guy he can get his hands on, including:
-his best friend
-his best friend’s brother
-his other friends
(All at the same time)
-his best friend’s bother’s random friends
-the guy at the store
-the pizza guy

😂 it was just so over the top. These characters were all acting like their behaviour was so normal too, but they were absolutely wild!

The main character is a terrible dude, cheating on his girlfriend the whole time. There is no character or relationship growth at all. This is PURELY erotica.
You’ll probably enjoy this if that’s what you’re looking for. Personally, I do enjoy erotica, but I usually like at least SOMETHING driving a plot or romance element to it. This book, however, is just scene after scene of random smut. Personally, I ended up a little bored by about halfway through.

Final thought: this book is very heavy on describing the …bodily actions during the smut. Which is fine! But… sometimes the word choice is DIABOLICAL! Words like ‘gooey’ and ‘SLIME’ 😵 it had me laughing for real.

Though this particular book may have not exactly been my forte, I know some people will LOVE it. So I do definitely recommend it to people who find what I’ve described interesting 😂👍

This may be one of the most unhinged books I have ever experienced. I lost count of the moments where I stopped and wondered, what on earth am I reading? — the answer being: far too many times to admit. Nothing on my shelves compares to Lincoln’s story; it stands entirely in its own category. To set expectations, the book is pure erotica, so the hint of a plot is more like a silhouette you have to search for. I realize that approach won’t appeal to everyone, particularly readers hoping for a traditional romance. I knew from the outset that sentiment and hearts would not be the driving force, and I was completely comfortable with that.

Riley’s Basement drops us directly into Lincoln’s perspective. He is sexually starved, worn down by the fact that his girlfriend avoids intimacy and simply doesn’t want to sleep with him at all. Seeking release, he turns to people close to him — yes, plural — and that is where the descent begins. What follows is a whirlwind of self-discovery, exhibitionism, and sharing, delivered through an endless parade of explicit encounters. Every time I believed the book had reached peak outrageousness, another scene pushed the boundary even further. It was sex layered over more sex, constant and excessive, almost chaotic — and strangely mesmerizing. It could have felt monotonous, yet I remained hypnotized from the first page to the last, eager to see how far the author would take it.

What I missed most was additional background for the cast. I would have liked the secondary characters to feel more dimensional — to learn about their routines, their histories, and to receive richer physical descriptions so my mental image of them could sharpen.

Even though the book contains no real love story, I still sense that one character represents Lincoln’s ultimate destination. I won’t reveal which, but the moments between them gave me chills, and I secretly hope Alex Pendragon will someday gift us a full novel centered on those two.

I had an absolute blast with this daring, intensely erotic read, written with impressive skill. It convinced me to dive straight into another Alex Pendragon title — this time a romance — because I’m genuinely curious to discover his voice when emotions are involved.

This was… this was just pure erotica with a tiny bit of plot but I am not mad about it. I really really hope we get a sequel but just about everything these boys got up to was hot as fuck and I am here for it! I would read another 300 pages of this.

Oh, boy... what a ride... pun intended.

This book... I can't even begin to describe what is happening in this one. It is sex, sex, sex and MORE sex with a spoon of plot.

Given the title I figured Lincoln would be with Riley in the end, but OMG, the way it ended was even better. Maybe we will get a book 2? Fingers crossed?

Tbh, I think Lincoln and Chance will end up together somehow even if they didn't at the end of the book. The connection that was solidified throughout this book shows us that no matter what they are each other's ride or die, and while Chance was annoying in the beginning I think the bond he has with his best friend will always be more important.

I loved seeing the domino efect Lincoln actions had on this book... tbh, I think it just shows that if men would be more honest with themselves the world would really be a better place. Exploration? Self discovery? Who cares... this book was an example of why men should be allowed to explore and figure themselves out more.

If you are in the mood to read smut smut smut, this one is for you... and honestly if you wanna find a unique dynamic then definitely you should try this book because between all that smut you can also find some pretty psychological stuff that would make you look at things in a different light if you are open minded enough.

4.5✨️

Oh, I wanna mention also that this book is NOT for everyone and I would like to have you think before reading it. Not because it is not good, damn, it is good, but because not everyone can handle the level of debauchery and lust this book comes with and I wouldn’t want it to be judged by some moral standards that contradict the idea of being open minded and accepting. Thanks.

3.75 ⭐️ 4.5 🌶 Pure smut chaos. If you're looking for the plot, well you'll have to look elsewhere. It's pure erotica with our extremely horny MMC being introduced to the world of gay sex in like the span of a week, and basically becoming a free use hole for all his friends and some along the way. Honestly it was filthy af and kind of cringe, in a weird addictive way. Not a literary masterpiece in any sense, and as it wasn't really a romance the ending just kind of showed up. But it was funny, chaotic read. 😂

If you want a deep and meaningful plot, this is not the book for you. But if you want erotica with a dash of “what the fuck am I reading” then this is the book for you!!! Personally I loved it. It was unhinged in the best way!!

This is hands down the best spice I have ever read. 300 pages of pure dude bro depravity. My only complaint is the use of certain words to describe bodily fluids, but I’m willing to ignore my initial feelings about that 😂 Please read this if you love smut! There are only 10 ratings on Goodreads at the moment. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Five Stars!

My first Alex Pendragon book. It feels momentous to say it because it definitely won't be my last. Not now that I've been introduced to this person who can write almost continuous smut for almost 300 pages and yet write with so much soul.

Almost 300 pages of continuous smut? Really? Yes. Our main character, Lincoln, discovers his bros are there for him when his girlfriend won't put out. One at a time, he begins testing the waters, pushing the limits, until it's an orgy down Riley's basement, and Lincoln can't get enough of his bros.

But you know what? There is something so honest about Lincoln's newly discovered lust, and the way he sees his sexuality as a way to just be honest with himself. He's a confident jock, he loves being watched--people have watched him all his life. Only now, he realizes what that looking does for him in a different context. And wow, watching him discover that, excellent smut aside, is such a charming, refreshing take on the average bi awakening romance.
“Reminds me - with each near-buckling of my knees, and every moment I have to bite my cheek to keep from crying out - that suddenly I'm solely dependent on him for these intense, incredible feelings. A dumb cock, and the dumb guy it's attached to, and if he wants to overwhelm us both with his lips, and tongue, and teeth, then there's nothing we can do but squirm, pant, beg.”

The writing surprised me. I was expecting something good anyway because this book was recommended by a user with whom I have eerily similar taste, but I had my fears with me, since a couple of bad reviews state just how much sex is in this book. I didn't know it was possible to have 95% sex and still have substance. This book does that.
“It's not about age, or being gay or not, or having experience or even just the imagination to fill in for inexperience, I want to tell him. It's about having faith in yourself, in your ability to go to the brink and then reel yourself back in from that: to try something new, and incredible, but also maintain that core sense of self.”

If you come in looking for plot, definitely look elsewhere, but if you like your well-written smut and a book that has a point, then this is a jewel.

On to the next Alex Pendragon book!

So. This book.

Instagram made me read it and I went in knowing it was erotica. I was prepared. I was ready. What I was not ready for was a parade of men who are absolutely, definitely, one hundred percent not gay, having sex with each other. Constantly. The "I'm not gay (or bi)" internal monologue hits different when everyone in the book is very actively proving themselves wrong in real time. But it's just "dude stuff," and they're "just friends." Suuuuuuure.

The one thing I'll give it: the inner thoughts during the sex scenes were occasionally, actually interesting. Like, okay, there's something going on in there. I see a flicker of an actual character trying to exist.
But then.
It's all slime here, gooey stuff there, slurping and drooling everywhere. I don't know who decided these were acceptable words to use, but I need them to reconsider their life choices. I was pulled out of every single scene the moment those words appeared, which—given that this book is approximately 95% sex scenes—means I spent most of it grimacing at my Kobo. I dare you to try and keep a serious face when you read about their bro-slime and dick-slime and gooey syrup from an unrelenting throat.

Look, I signed up for erotica. I knew what I was getting into. But there's erotica and then there's whatever vocabulary choices were made here, and I was not prepared for the latter. If you want wall-to-wall explicit content with writing that occasionally makes you feel like you're reading a nature documentary about snails, here you go. 🐌

Not for me.

Absolutely nothing but wall to wall smut! It’s just a dicking free-for-all. Just enough plot to get to the next smutty scene. Which is good, because I was in the mood for 300+ pages of filth. This book delivers wonderfully on that word p0rn desire that’s been riding me almost as hard as Lincoln gets ridden, and rides, and sucks, and fucks. Add in all the group fun times that had me flipping pages, laughing, flipping more pages, fanning myself, and loving every minute of it.

It’s an absolutely absurd narrative, but let’s be real, I wasn’t looking for Shakespeare. I was looking for exactly what this book delivers. Do I wish we had been in more than just Lincoln’s head? Yes, but I was perfectly satisfied with the book as is. In fact, the next time I’m looking for a smut driven free-for-all, I’ll likely give Lincoln and crew another go. They’re certainly entertaining.

If you’re looking for a book with substance beyond smut, this isn’t the one for you. If you’re looking for smut for the sake of smut and a lot of it, then by all means, step into Riley’s basement and join the party. So suspend disbelief, grab your fan, your toys, and your smokes, and enjoy the ride. 😉😏

This book was DIRTY. Like… wow.

A fellow Bookstagrammer suggested Riley's Basement to me after I finished a very traumatic, sad book. I told her I needed the smuttiest smut that ever smutted and she absolutely delivered. This is straight up erotica and it is basically nonstop sex. I’m not even exaggerating. Page after page. Scene after scene. And honestly… I didn’t hate it. But it did have me sitting there like… is there such a thing as too much smut?

One trope I will always eat up is the bi/gay sexual awakening, and Lincoln going from curious to just fully giving in to everything was honestly my favorite part. And the ending made me laugh because it was such a silly happy wrap up. The author never outright says it, but it definitely felt like he was falling for his best friend and I kind of loved that for them.

Did I read this for the plot? Absolutely not.
Did it deliver exactly what I asked for after emotional trauma? Yes. Yes it did. 🥵

soo, this was good overall, ig. it kept my interest despite the entire book being basically just smut. which was really hot & well-written, Lincoln's chemistry was great with the others, and it was an easy read overall.
but i'm kinda sad there wasn't a more solid HEA, it was only implied, well kinda..🫠 i mean good for Lincoln in the end🤷🏻‍♀️ just not good enough for me, ig?? lol. tbf i did kinda miss that this was an erotica (which as a genre doesn't necessarily need to have a HEA..), soo that's my bad🙈
the thing i really didn't enjoy tho was the misogyny which was strong in this book🫠 & felt very unnecessary..🫠

This was a smutty fun time but there were also elements of self exploration, discovery, acceptance, personal growth and relationship development. What started off as a pent up and boned up Lincoln looking for release eventually turned into a group of friends changing their dynamic and learning about themselves and each other through sex. Harper got to experience what it would be like to FINALLY be with his crush, Chance who has never shown interest in men experienced his first time with his best friend, Aidan got to explore his curiosity while Riley gives guidance from experience and the friend at the center of it all?! Lincoln! So yes this is definitely a smutty good time but also yes, there were additional layers to it if you really look! I will definitely read more from this author!

As far as erotica with a story, this book is in the top 5%.
High praise that is well deserved. Alex Pandragon managed to show us several different characters, all with their own distinct personality, all getting involved/enmeshed with Lincoln from a slightly different stand point. Toss in Chase, Lincoln's best friend in forever, Chase's brother Riley and some other mates and Lincoln discovers what a penchant for being a c*m-dumpster he has and how much he liked being used.

Holy Hell wtf did I just read!?!?! This was one of the hottest, filthiest books I have ever read 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The writing was super well done. Loved the flow and interactions between all the friends. I wish this had more of an HEA with Chance and Lincoln but they did become closer 😏😉. The smut was written to perfection 💦. I will definitely be checking out more books by this author.

Listennnn. I like a smutty book as well as the next guys. But, I need a touch of plot. A little something to look deeper at. This is not that. There is smut in every single chapter. There is literally no story at all. If that’s your cup of tea? Grab a cup, because this one is for you.

The smut was good though, no shade.

I know this is erotica, but there was sex in almost every page of this book.

It's actually impressive how little plot there was. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, though!

It's light, angst-free, and depraved. Sometimes, you just need stories like these not to think. I wish there had been more development with Chance and Lincoln's special friendship, but it still ended nicely.

Gay guy writing MM books somehow hits differently, smut is always on point.

Ahhh what a great book to read. If I could give 6 starts I would.
It’s pure smut through and through. It was great to read Lincoln’s self discovery and about his friends’ horniness. I will read it again for sure but I need a little break because damn it’s so hot.

Definitely want to read more and more about Lincoln and his sexual adventures with his friends.

It’s free on Alex’s website , so if you want to read about Lincoln and his sexual adventures (pure smut) go and check it out.
