Saving Ashley: An Enemies to Lovers Surprise Baby Small Town Romance

Rate this book
I disappear to save my life. And wake up in my ex’s bed.

I’m hiding from a man who won’t stop stalking me, and the last place I expect to land is my hometown.

The man I run straight into is Wyatt Morgan—my quiet, infuriating ex I never fully got over.

He’s a grumpy rancher and doesn’t want me here.
I don’t belong in his world of mud, horses, and silence.

But my car is totaled. The snow won’t stop. And neither will the tension between us.

I tell myself it’s temporary.
Helping on his ranch. Sharing late nights. Letting him protect me.

Then his walls crack.
His hands linger.
And I fall for the man he’s become.

Right when I start to feel safe, the past catches up to me.

My stalker isn’t done.

The danger I ran from followed me here.

Walking away from my past was easy.
But walking away from the man I love with a life growing inside me…

Might be impossible.

Saving Ashley is a spicy standalone romance with enemies to lovers, forced proximity, surprise baby, opposites attract, suspense and a guaranteed HEA!

Perfect for fans of S.J Tilly, Elsie Silver and Jessica Peterson books.

Saving Ashley by Rosie Knox was everything I hoped it would be and more. Although Rosie is a new-to-me author, I am so incredibly glad I took a chance on this story; it is a small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance packed with so much heart and genuine tension. The plot hooked me immediately: a woman forced to disappear to save her own life, only to wake up in her ex-boyfriend’s bed. Ashley is running from a relentless stalker and seeks refuge in her hometown, where she literally crashes into Wyatt Morgan—the quiet, infuriatingly handsome rancher she never quite got over.

Wyatt is the ultimate grumpy hero who clearly doesn't want her in his world of horses and mud, but between a totaled car and a relentless snowstorm, the forced proximity becomes unavoidable. As Ashley helps on the ranch, the ice between them begins to thaw, and those shared late nights turn their old resentment into something much deeper and more permanent. Watching Wyatt’s walls finally crack as he steps into the role of her protector was pure magic.

However, just as the romance heats up and Ashley begins to feel safe, the suspense ramps up as her past finally catches up with her. The stakes are raised even higher by the surprise baby trope, making the danger feel that much more visceral. It’s a spicy, emotional standalone that perfectly blends the "opposites attract" dynamic with a high-stakes rescue. If you are a fan of S.J. Tilly’s protective alphas or the cozy yet steamy small-town vibes of Elsie Silver and Jessica Peterson, you absolutely need to add this to your TBR. It’s a beautiful journey from fear to a well-earned HEA.

Ashley is a superstar singer who flees Los Angeles when a stalker breaks into her penthouse. She gets in her car and justs keeps on driving away from the city. A distraction causes her car to slide off the road in the snow, flipping her car over. Crawling out of the wreck, she stumbles across fields towards light. Ashley ends up on Wyatt's ranch... in her home town... Wyatt being her high-school sweetheart and the only man she ever loved - even though he broke up with her, left to join the Army, and broke her heart. They have had no contact since Wyatt left for the Army and Ashley then left town to pursue the music career she had always dreamed of. The story unfolds from there. This was a really nice read. Ashley's and Wyatt's characters were well defined and totally relatable. The book has some suspense, tension, and mystery around the stalker; there is nice character development; there are well-written, enjoyable spicy scenes at a good heat level. It is an all-around good read. I was given a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are strictly my own.

Ashley left her small hometown after her boyfriend, Wyatt, broke her heart by breaking up with her and then leaving for the military. She took the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. She hit it big, but now someone is following her, causing trouble. When they break into her home, confronting her, she runs with no destination in mind. Now she finds herself losing control of her car, and her life, and face to face with Wyatt after many years.

So many things have changed, but one thing never really did. They still have feelings for each other. When the truth comes out, about the obsessed fan and the real reason Wyatt left Ash after high school, their lives take a huge turn in a new direction.

I truly enjoyed this book. The romance and spice level are just right. There is a little suspense around the person tracking Ashley. Knox writes a nice happily ever after with the final chapters and the epilogue. Readers will not be disappointed.

This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future!
Ashley is the target of a stalker, and she disappears to save her life, however, she ends up with her car totalled, and stranded snowstorm, and she wakes up and finds herself in her ex’s bed. Wyatt is a grumpy rancher, who is not happy that Ashley is there. Ashley helps out on the ranch and slowly melts the heart of the man she never got over.
This is a well written story which has danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, forced proximity, opposites attract, surprises, twists and turns, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

She is a pop star on the run from a stalker. A wintery accident lands her somewhere totally unexpected. Her childhood sweetheart’s doorstep. Can they mend what is broken? Will the stalker catch up to her and take mattes into his own hands? Oh my gosh was this ever a suspenseful rollercoaster ride. Absolutely loved it. Was totally blindsided by who the stalker was. Excellent read. Loved it so much. However, due to one critical issue I can only give it 4 stars. He lives on a ranch, his childhood home and set he sleeps on the couch as he gives her the bedroom? There is no guest rooms? I find it highly unlikely that his childhood home only has one bedroom. Where did he sleep growing up? I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy.

Ashley Sterling and Wyatt Morgan were high school sweethearts—until Wyatt abruptly broke things off and left to join the Army. Years later, Ashley is a rising pop star with a dangerous stalker, and Wyatt has settled into life as a grumpy rancher.

When Ashley unexpectedly ends up on Wyatt’s ranch, he’s far from thrilled, but he lets her stay. As they spend more time together, old feelings resurface, along with the secrets they’ve both been carrying.

Will Ashley confess that someone is stalking her? Will Wyatt finally reveal the truth he’s been hiding? And when danger closes in, can Wyatt protect the woman he never stopped loving?

Ash is tired of all the fame and paparazzi but most of all tired of being afraid. Seeing her stalker in her own place makes her flee in a spur of the moment. Driving during a storm takes her the only place she thought she would never end up.

Wyatt is leading a secluded life after his discharge as a combat medic. After his father died, he has taken over the ranch. The last thing he ever expects is his ex-girlfriend Ash ending up at his place.

This is a story about unwavering love, second chances and so much more. The plot is filled with undeniable attraction, steamy hot scenes, suspenseful moments and few unexpected twists and turns.

This was a wonderful small town, enemies to lovers romance. Ashley and Wyatt were high school sweethearts, but she ran from her life there if she wanted to live. Wyatt hadn’t seen her since. Then a car accident had her waking up in his bed. She doesn’t remember how she got there. Wyatt isn’t happy that’s she’s there. But as she starts helping him on the farm they start to talk about things.
I thought this book held a great amount at m of suspense and tension. I loved the way they reconnected and were able to with through things. And when things got really intense, Wyatt was right there. Enjoyed this book immensely.

I voluntarily review an ARC.
I loved this romance. I wouldn't agree it's an enemies to lovers romance though. Ashley and Wyatt were highschool sweethearts and are estranged now, but never forgot about each other. Naturally there are some trust issues and more recent and actual problems to deal with.
I really enjoyed the heat level of this book, the characters are relatable and I liked the writing style.
I would like to read a sequel, if for instance the best friends Natalie and Carter get their stories.

I love how this book is written and the story line is amazing. Ashley, a pop star who wants more out of her life, is the truest thing in the world. Her statement about not being prepared for the fame that comes with fame is so relatable. Then comes Wyatt, who isn't as broken as he thinks he is. I knew from the moment that the stalker showed up that the person was the stalker. I'm trying not to spoil who it is. I loved this book. I can't wait to read more from Rosie Knox.

An unexpected Delight!

I was intrigued by the synopsis and then pleasantly surprised by not only the plot but the depth of the characters themselves. Wyatt, just wow, I want me to have a Wyatt!! The author built such an appealing multifaceted personality in Wyatt, the story it draws you in because of the depth of characters in Ash and Wyatt. Just reading and getting to know them was a pleasure.

I loved reading every single minute of it. Enjoy!

A rockstar romance

This friends to lovers/enemies to lovers rockstar romance is a re-introduction of two characters who wants dated. It ended terribly, and there are hurt feelings between them. Now stuck together under circumstances beyond their control, what are they to do when they can barely stand to look at each other? I guess you’ll have to read to find out.
