Omg this book was wild. Layla is such a badass, even though she definitely had me annoyed at first. And Cas? The way he questioned literally everything she did had me losing my mind. But that ending… I’m still screaming. Damian, my poor baby I just want to hug him forever. Audra is a total badass too, and what happened to her at the end broke me. I flew through this book because I physically could not put it down. I need the next one like I need air. After that ending, I’m stressed and desperate to know what happens next. I recommend this series if you are looking for a new fantasy to read!!

Magic and Mayhem proves that this series isn’t just getting better—it’s evolving into something truly unforgettable. Each installment raises the stakes, but this one delivers a level of emotional intensity that left me completely wrecked in the best way possible.

The desperate search for Damian adds a powerful sense of urgency throughout the story, pulling the reader into every moment of uncertainty, hope, and fear. Every clue uncovered feels like a fragile step forward, making the journey as gripping as it is heartbreaking. At the same time, watching Audra come into her own is nothing short of electrifying. The slow build of her potential—and the eventual unleashing of her powers—creates some of the most compelling and triumphant moments in the book.

What truly sets Magic and Mayhem apart, though, is how relentlessly it challenges its characters. Just when it feels like they’ve endured enough, the story pushes them further, stretching their strength, loyalty, and resilience to the breaking point. The emotional whiplash is real—in the final chapters, I went from celebrating what felt like a hard-earned victory to reaching for tissues in complete shock.

And that ending… I did not see it coming. The twist is both devastating and brilliantly executed, reframing everything and leaving me desperate for answers.
This is, without a doubt, the strongest book in the series so far. If this is any indication of what’s coming next, the final installment is going to be absolutely phenomenal. I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

Not as much spice in this one, but it about ripped my heart out. Other than the emotional trauma, this may be my favorite so far.
