I fear… this book has such a strong concept and I was really intrigued by it 🫶
I dove into this expecting a dark fantasy about grief and survival, and it definitely delivered that. We follow Echo as she grows from surviving in the forest to uncovering corruption in the city and stepping into something much bigger.
✨ What I loved: – The world-building is really detailed (runes, wards, Black Fang) – Echo is a strong FMC with clear growth – The action scenes were a highlight (especially the tavern scene)
💭 A small note: – The chapters are quite long, and with the amount of scene changes, some could work really well as shorter chapters – This would help the pacing feel a bit faster and make those big moments hit even harder
⭐️ Rating: 3/5
Overall, this feels like the start of something really interesting, and I’d love to see how it develops further 🤍
A fantastic read for high fantasy enthusiasts. The writing paints vivid, immersive scenes that made it easy to picture the world and characters. I especially enjoyed the lone survivor theme. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys rich fantasy worlds.
