Within this multi-author series Marie Higgins has been weaving her story about the Sapphire Window. Some of her past books in this series have given pieces of the search for this woman who runs quite a big criminal enterprise across many states. So this is a great story as it finally wraps up the mystery of the identity of the Sapphire Widow.
This story continues in the town of Willowhaven where a woman named Brooke Whitmore has been widowed three times. There are many rumors of her being cursed. As she runs a very large ranch and people feel she should have a man in charge she decides to send for a husband form the Home and Hearts Mail Order company. She doesn't want another husband to die so she won't marry for love. It will be purely a business relationship.
Ronan Montgomery is a cousin to one of her past husbands. He has traveled from California to ask her assistance because the farm his family owns had a devastating fire. They have a lot of debts to pay before they can get back on their feet and he is willing to work for any monetary help she can give them. He is so desperate to get a chance to talk with her that he steps into the path of her wagon getting seriously hurt. While he recuperates in her home the two begin to know one another. Her brother-in-law who has been a close friend since her first husband died, wants Ronan to leave. He starts to get quite pushy in telling Brooke what she needs to do.
Brooke decides to make Ronan her manager of the farm. As he begins to interact with the men working on the different parts of the farms, he begins to think something strange is going on. Will Brooke and Ronan get to the bottom of the strange unaccounted deliveries? Will Brooke decide she wants a mail order husband or take a chance on a love relationship with Ronan?

good book
This was a good book until the last chapter then it was absolutely a great book and by a great author. I highly recommend this book and author. I can’t wait to read the next book by this wonderful author.

Brooke is a widow that the town of Willowhaven people whisper about. She has been widowed three times from things she had no control of. She has her brother in law from the first marriage who has been acting like he is her right hand, but is he? A cousin of her third husband arrives in town and gets her attention when her wagon runs over him. Ronan brings light in more than one way into her home. The stuffy over controlling Lewis once controlling Brooke, is now mute. Ronan encourages her to stand up to him. When sparks start flying between Brooke and Ronan it is wonderful. That is when her whole world explodes when the all famous Sapphire widow comes to town! The only one she can trust is Ronan. This was one nail biting exciting book that I could not put down.

This was very intriguing. Brooke wanted a mail order husband, in name only, to help run her farm. Along comes Ronan, who isn’t looking to wed, he doesn’t even know she’s looking. As he’s a relative of her deceased husband she hires him to manage the farm until she makes a decision about a husband. Things happen with shipments and invoices. In the process of trying to figure it out and stop these happenings, Brooke and Ronan spend more time together. Things come to a head and things start to unravel! Lots of action and realistic! Loved it!

You will not want to put down, Brooke's Blessings until the end. Brooke has been married three times and buried all three of them. She needs a husband to help her with her land and love is not part of it. The people call her cursed and she just wants to survive. Ronan was her husband's cousin, but needs Brooke's help. His family farm, with his Mother and sisters, who need her help, but he doesn't want charity. He will work for his money, nothing more or less, but along the way he found Brooke. This story is more than a romance story, it's full of suspense and action. Loved it.

Brooke’s Blessings sounds like a lovely mix of romance, mystery, and second chances! Brooke is a strong heroine who deserves happiness after so much heartbreak, and Ronan sounds like a charming hero who brings new hope into her life. I love the idea of two people finding love when they least expect it, with secrets and suspense adding extra intrigue. A heartwarming story about learning to trust again and discovering that the past doesn't have to define the future! ❤️

Yes! Finally the story I've been waiting for in Ms. Higgins stories about the Sapphire woman. What a shock to learn who that woman is. Only Ms. Higgins, the Queen of Tease, could think up the events in this story. You won't want to miss getting this book. I received an ARC copy. This is my voluntary opinion.
