A writer and a poet by heart Swarupa enjoys anchoring her thoughts through her ink. Traveling is her passion and if she had her way she would always be on the move exploring the world. She also enjoy music, making her realize there is so much to do and so little time.

Writing is her second nature. She completely loves the process of reaching within herself and expressing her thoughts. She writes because she believes she has discovered the true purpose of her life.

Her journey as a writer has been wonderful. She has published three novels so far. TO ERR IS HUMAN and A JOURNEY TO REMEMBER are humorous – romantic novels. Her latest novel THE PREDICTION has been awarded as the BEST SCIENCE FICTION OF THE YEAR AWARD. It is based on the power of sixth-sense and the readers have enjoyed reading the twists in the intriguing tale. Apart from this she has also published short stories and poetry in several Anthologies like IF I HAD A LAST WISH, PO'TRY, WHISPERS OF LOVE 2 and FUSION.

She has appeared on the cover page of INVINCIBLE Magazine with a cover story coverage for the Feb 2018 issue.

She discovers a new facet about her in every book she writes, by expressing a little about her through every protagonist of her novels. Her novels reflect the modern-day woman and the various aspects of her personality. People who know her closely often feel after reading her books that they could see a reflection of Swarupa in Malini, Ananya and Tia who are the main protagonists of my novels. Swarupa finds it highly rewarding when the readers find themselves relating with her story and connect with the characters in them.

This is a book about something which gives you a peek into future call it ESP, Premonition, sixth sense, intuition or clairvoyance. This is also about levitation. Science does not accept these things but as a character in book explains

" Well Mr Tandon, despite the difficulty in understanding precognition, it is easiest form of ESP and has been tested and proved. The most popular theory holds that precognition is a glimpse of [possible future that is based upon present conditions and existing information, and which may be altered depending upon acts of free will." Dr Mehta countered.

This is not a happy gay book. This is very dark and depressing and the protagonist Tia is a cursed soul or so she thinks due to this gift or curse of ESP. She predicts death of her mother and her whole family especially her father distance from her. She is sent to a boarding where again unfortunate things happen. Without giving away much it is suffice to say it is depressing.

One thing is that i feel, Swarupa took the premise of ESP and built a story around it. She succeeded completely in her efforts. She did her research well and it shows. it is not easy to write a story based on ESP. ESP is at the core of story here. I am amazed the way she seamlessly integrated the concept into her story.

Depiction of feelings of characters especially Tia. She feels that due the the premonition she knows about impending disaster, but as she is powerless prevent it, that leads to sense of despondency, loneliness and felling lost. That is depicted beautifully. The english is first rate. I wish she could give me english lessons ;). That is why 4 stars.

Well done Swarupa Chavan. best of luck. Eagerly waiting for next book.

I bought this book from amazon.
Firstly i would like to appreciate the author, for writing something different...hatke..

Tia is a girl who can see the unseen.
The story begins when Tia's mother dies, people have assembled at Mr.Tandon Residence.Mr.Tandon cursed Tia & held her responsible for his wiife's Shalini' death. He could never imagine life without Shalini.
He never quiet understood Tia or her peculiar behaviour from her childhood.

Tia often wake up at night crying terrified about some nightmare she had seen.
Her mother, thinking it a normal symptom of child, would soothe her.
Tia is considered as 'evil' in eyes of his father,as though She is bringing misfortune to the family.

After losing his wife,Mr.Tandom grew bitter & built a virtual bitter & build a barrier around him.

In the next of the book , the childhood of Tia & His brother Neeraj is shown
Different incidents which took place across, although sometimes Tia tried to helped her beloved ones & others through her imagination & unknown power which she got.,but its all useless sometimes.

Relationship between Mr.Tandon & His son Neeraj:-
His relationship with his son was not gud.He wanted his son to be tough guy & was training him to get disciplined in his life to live life better,as life is harsh. But Neeraj was deprived from local things like to play, eat junk food, hangout with friends.Neeraj grow resentful towards him.
Neeraj would then direct all the petulance towards his younger sister Tia ,who was easy target & bullying her on every occasion.

All together this book suites my taste & atleast i got something different to read from indian author, which i expected, the thinking of the author is broad & he took it to another level. But sill couldnot reach upto the level of foreign authors.

I would like to rate it 4 out 5 stars. Must read guyz ,go & buy it! :)

The Prediction is a very lovely Sci-Fi book which will force you to read the entire book at a go. The plot of the story is very creative and the simplicity of the story made it look even better. When we look at a Sci-Fi book we always think about unusual names and unseen locations, most of the novels are out of the world but Swarupa has managed to maintain a reality in her Sci-Fi book. She used normal names with normal locations but not-so-normal powers. The words used by Swarupa in her book are very simple and easy to understand which gives the book a plus point. The cover of the book is also very beautiful and creative. I think the author must publish a series of novels with Tia who is the leading character of her book playing a Super Hero role. We all love Super Hero books and comics, so why not have an Indian girl Super Hero who is different from other Super Heroes. It will go perfectly with ‘The Prediction’ being the first part of the series. Overall, the book is very lovely and you will surely enjoy reading it. It’s a MUST READ!
