Join Alli Koscal on a journey through the book of Ruth as she explores the love and loyalty of these beloved biblical figures. Ruth will show us that by seeking, trusting, and following God, we arrive at a place where we are held in the Father’s hands, we are standing on the rock of his love, and we are utterly unafraid to surrender to his will. This recognition leads to a beautiful Our hearts long for this place where we are whole, our burdens are lightened, and our souls find supernatural peace. This place has a name, and it calls to us from the pages of Ruth as we journey with home. At home we find our soul’s true longing—union with God and a safe haven for our heart from every storm that threatens us. Home is a place where we are at peace because we know who we are and whose we are. This study is an opportunity to draw your heart closer to our Lord and Savior, and to behold His magnificent love for you.
Alli Koscal invites you to join her as you and she get to know Ruth. Chapter by chapter, I was drawn to the story of Ruth. Alli quickly grew to be a gentle voice guiding the reading in small bites, allowing for ideas to settle for deeper understanding and urging connections to daily life. Alli's voice grew stronger motivating further thoughts of my application of the good, the Godliness, shown by Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz. Alli's passion for engaging in this study called me to come back sometimes two or three times a day. Like a close friend, she noticed the expression on my face, and asked exactly what I was thinking: 'He did WHAT?' 'What did that mean in Old Testament times?' She anticipated where the roadblocks to understanding would be and provided explanations. Citing many different experts, and through Alli's own thoughts, and Scripture links, the cobwebs were swept away. Spiritually, my soul l was fed by Alli's beautiful prayers and her invitations to write our own. Putting my heart on paper was so powerful! I would encourage you to consider this for your next study. May you be touched by the fruit of Alli's work!(This study is designed to last for seven weeks, about 25- 30 minutes a day. I chose to do this independently and found myself lingering over passages and questions to a great depth.)
I enjoyed how the author guides the reader through the short, but profound book of Ruth. There are beautiful reflections and prompts paired with historical context to better understand the significance of Ruth’s story. I now have a deep appreciation for this book in the Bible all thanks to Love and Loyalty.
