OZZIE FORD Last year, I was the new kid on Rock Hills Beavers baseball team. Now I'm not. With my second season on field, I'm ready to bat the ball. But Ryan Lindson is messing with my head. The Cap, and the star of the Beavers. He looks at me with hungry in his eyes, and I can't help if the 29 year old catcher has greedy feelings towards me.
RYAN LINDSON In my five years playing on the Rock Hill Beavers, nobody turned me on til Ozzie Ford joined as a rookie. He may be a kid at 23 years old, but he's so much more in my lustful eyes. A player who catch the ball like me. I may be a catcher too, but this time this season, I'm catching him mine.
CATCHING YOU MINE is a M/M Baseball Romance that deals with secret dating, not putting up with queer hate, and two teammates that change their baseball league coming out as gay. Lots of spice and steamy scenes.
R.B. HANNA writes sweet and spicy M/M Romances. He has published FOREVER AND ALWAYS, FOREVER YOURS, and BLOOD LOVE (#1 New Release on Amazon!). While not writing his books, he reads other M/M stories and other romance books.
I loved Ozzie and Ryan’s story! Told through dual points of view, this is a story about two baseball teammates who have a secret relationship with each other. I appreciated the overall message of the story and how the characters navigated the media spotlight. I also enjoyed the outcome the author gave these characters.
Thank you to the author for the gifted arc of the book.
I was given the honor of reading the ARC for this amazing book. I have not read a baseball romance before let alone an M/M baseball romance. So, I am excited that this book was my first. Catching you mine was amazing from page one. You could feel the chemistry between Ozzie and Ryan during each interaction. The amount of spice was perfection. I hope there is more to come for Ozzie and Ryan.
An MM baseball romance Novella —imagine Heated Rivalry….. with balls.
Ryan is the team captain. Ozzie is the rookie. The attraction between them is instant and impossible to ignore. With a homophobic coach and the pressure of teammates and the media, they’re forced to keep their relationship secret.
But how long can you hide who you love? And what happens when the truth finally comes out?
This was absolutely adorable—why are gay guys always ridiculously cute and have the hottest chemistry?
At just 75 pages, it’s a quick, steamy read packed with lust, longing, and love between two guys. Beautifully written and guaranteed to leave you with a huge, happy smile.

Overall I thought this was a cute read. Sections were a bit stiff but it's a good short spicy baseball mm. Definitely easy to read in less than a day. It's under 80 pages.
I love Oz and Ryan being obsessed with each other. You can't hide love. F that coach though.

First of all, thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of Catching You Mine. I’m always grateful for the chance to read a book ahead of release, and as a reader who enjoys M/M sports romance, I was genuinely excited to dive into this one.
What worked for me :
The story itself works and is really cute. The tropes are fun and effective: rookie vs. captain, forbidden workplace romance, secrecy, forced proximity, and the bus toilet scene ..! These moments are well chosen and clearly written for readers who enjoy sports romance with a spicy edge.
The book also carries a positive and important message about homophobia in professional sports and self-acceptance, which I genuinely appreciated. The fear of being seen, the pressure from management and agents, and the need to hide a relationship are themes that feel relevant and meaningful.
The spicy scenes are nicely paced. They don’t feel rushed within individual scenes, and the author knows how to build physical tension and deliver on heat. Readers looking for explicit romance will definitely find what they’re looking for here.
Finally, I want to note that I’m not used to reading short stories or novellas, so relationship development happening very quickly may have felt more abrupt to me than to other readers. That said, I consciously did not take this into account when rating the book.
What didn’t work for me :
Unfortunately, the writing and editing quality significantly impacted my reading experience...
There are numerous typos and awkward or incorrect formulations, for example: - “I never seen him so dominant and possessive towards me, it make the bugle in my pants hard” (with an awkward formulation and typo on bulge) - “new outlet” (instead of “news outlet”) - “After a three more mind-blowing sex”
There are also frequent tense switches. The story is mostly told in the past tense, but it often shifts to present tense, sometimes even within the same sentence, which breaks narrative flow and immersion. I also noted several plot inconsistencies throughout the book that affected believability and continuity.
Finally, my biggest issue was repetition. Certain words, phrases, and constructions appear over and over again:
- heavy reliance on “fuck” and “fucking” - repeated descriptions like “heat radiating” - similar internal reactions and dialogue beats reused across chapters
Instead of intensifying emotions, these repetitions often flattens them...
Final thoughts :
Catching You Mine has a good heart, fun tropes, and a meaningful message, and I genuinely believe it could have been much stronger with more thorough editing and polishing. As it stands, the technical issues, repetitions, and inconsistencies make it hard for me to fully enjoy what is otherwise a cute and engaging story.
If you’re reading primarily for spice and familiar romance tropes, you may still have a good time. In the end I would rate this book a 2.5/5.
First and foremost, thank you to R. B. Hanna for sending me this ARC. This was such a fun, quick read with some solid spice, but more than that, it felt like a statement. A reminder that you are allowed to want everything out of this life, no matter the limits society or other people try to place on you.
Ozzie and Ryan don’t just find each other. They carve out space for one another inside a hyper-masculine world like baseball, choosing to live authentically, unapologetically, and on their own terms.
I genuinely loved getting to know these men, and my only real complaint is that I wanted more time with them. This novella left me feeling like its potential stretches far beyond its 71 pages, and I would happily follow these characters for much longer.
Catching You, Mine is a short story about MLB teammates Ryan and Ozzie, who fall into a secret relationship told through dual POV. Behind closed doors, their restraint shatters—every stolen moment turns into heated touches, whispered confessions, and a hunger they can’t quite tame. In public, it’s all careful distance and longing glances, but in private they devour each other, making up for every second they’re forced to pretend. As they try to balance desire, secrecy, and the pressure of teammates and relentless media scrutiny, even the smallest spark on the field could expose everything—putting both their hearts and careers at risk.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was lucky enough to get an early copy as an ARC reader. What a cutie patootie of a book!
I struggle with shorter stories, always wanting more and this one I just wanted to know more about the previous season and when the attraction started! I know, page counts and such but I adored this couple.
Bus bathroom… big fan!
My only gripes worth mentioning are tiny! No condoms? (Come on guys we practise safe sex!) and also what’s up with Ozzie’s shit agent threatening him like that? Boo to him!
I really enjoyed the story, characters and vibes. Thanks for such a nice read!
•This was a really cute story! • Excellently written, and a great sense of the characters, atmosphere, and emotion • The mix between baseball and the interpersonal relationships was well balanced and made for a good story • I think the two main characters were very distinct, well matched, and had their own personalities. I only wish there was a little bit more information about the beginning of their relationship • Loved the commentary about inclusivity in sports and how it can affect people • All around great books!
This love story was so cute and I ate it up. Catching You Mine tells the love story of Ryan and Ozzie, teammates on a Major League Baseball team. Ryan is the perfect mix of hot, loving, and protective, everything I love in my book boyfriends. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. This was a 5 star for me because it had me in my feels. I was cheering and talking to my iPad. I absolutely loved it.
I see potential in this story. The second half was intriguing and kept me going. If the continuity issues are addressed I think this will be a great novella. The switching between present and past tense mid chapter was jarring and I’m still not quite sure which position each MC plays. Aside from that, I actually wouldn’t mind reading this as a full length novel where we can dig into their back stories a bit more.
Cute story with some really, really spicy scenes. Ryan and Ozzie start out on fire. There are a lot of great scenes in the story but the bus scene did it for me. Hiding who you are is hard enough, but these two find a spectacular way around it. It’s a great story, lots going on to keep you interested and has a wonderful happy ending ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Definitely recommend!

This was such a cute story! I don’t know much about baseball but I enjoyed getting to know it a bit more while reading about the characters. I also really appreciated that it was written from both characters point of view. Definitely recommend reading this if you are interested in Baseball themed MM romance.
I would like to thank the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Short and sweet and right to the point. Ryan and Ozzie are super sweet and have each other’s backs. I was often left feeling confused on both the time line and the positions both Ryan and Ozzie played.
I received this ARC from the author and these are my honest opinions.
Ryan is the star captain of the baseball team but the rookie catcher has caught his eye (Ozzie). This is a story of fighting against homophobia and letting love win in the end. It was so good. And let me tell u now it was indeed spicyyyy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🥰🥰🥰🥰
One of Hanna's best yet! A very spicy tale of Ozzie and Ryan the professional and rookie catchers. This book is sure to take you through all the bases if you know what I mean.
