Blair and Beckett

HOTSHOT HEARTTHROB is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, girl gets her firefighter rom com.  Blair is a sassy investigative reporter from New York who has been sent on a mandatory break in the country after a public meltdown. Beckett is the hunky firefighter who lives next door to her cabin rental. He has a rescue dog Ash who takes to Blair right away. Blair is going crazy for a story and she tries to get Beckett on board but he's not interested. These two cracked me up. Their banter was hysterical, their chemistry was insane, and the ending was so happy after a bit of angst. I loved it.

Hotshot Heartthrob by Kate J. Blake is a fun, steamy romance with plenty of chemistry and swoony moments. I really enjoyed the attraction between the characters and the way their relationship developed. The story moved at a good pace and kept me turning the pages, with a nice balance of romance, emotion, and spice. The chemistry was definitely one of the highlights, and the heat level delivered exactly what the title promises! If you enjoy spicy romances with a charming hero, strong attraction, and plenty of passionate moments, this is an entertaining read to add to your TBR. Overall, Hotshot Heartthrob was a quick, steamy romance that was easy to get lost in!

Blair and Beckett meet in the dead of night when Ash wanders to Blair's rental. In there very limited interactions, Blair sniffs a story untold regarding the fire Beckett rescued Ash from. Beckett tries to protect Blair by insisting she leave it alone. Can he keep her safe and at a distance?

There was good buildup in the story, but I found the ending abrupt. Suddenly, there was this resolution to the mysterious fire, but not really a satisfying one. This is a very short story with very little plot development.

She is an investigative reporter on a sabbatical of sorts after a maker public breakdown. He is her hunky, lumberjackesque, firefighter neighbor with a huge secret. Will they give in to their passion? Will she tell his story against his wishes? This was such a powerful story. Such great characters. Just the right amount of spice and humor mixed in. Short, easy read. The spicy scenes aren't bad, but there's no real tension buildup leading into them — so they land flat rather than satisfying. Some passages feel like they had AI assistance, though I can't say for certain.

The core concept is actually interesting. And it's readable enough.

Got it for free, so no complaints. Would think twice before paying for it.

This was sweet and cute and a little spicy. I loved Blair and Beckett. They were so cute together. This is a grab your favorite blanket, a cup of cocoa, and get cozy for a sweet holiday novels. I really enjoyed this.

Hotshot Heartthrob promises to entertain and woo you from beginning to end. I was captivated by the cover which looks really charming and sweet, but then once I started to read the romance book I was in love. Beckett and Blair are going to keep you reading and loving every single chapter.

Ash is adorable

I literally read this book in about 3 hours! It's so cute and so easy to read because it reads like a conversation.
The ONLY part I can't say I loved is the last chapter, for personal reasons and a bit of flashbacks.
Not saying anything else, just go get the book!

Super adorable small town romance novella! Blair is escaping the big city after a mental breakdown on live TV but can’t stop from digging for the next big story. Beckett is the small towns hero and captain of the only fire station and his dog Ash falls in love with Blair at first sight. At first they are not so friendly neighbors and very quickly turn hot and heavy! She blows the lid on a story the mayor tried to cover up and wins a major book deal!
