Spencer
After years away from the spotlight, lead guitarist and vocalist Spencer is finally returning to Black Shadows. The comeback depends on bringing back the two members he can’t stand, the same men who nearly destroyed everything once before. Old grudges, buried secrets, and unresolved betrayals threaten to blow the reunion apart before it even begins.

Jamie
Jamie thought life with Spencer in Beverly Hills was solid. He’s balancing UCLA nursing classes, a future he’s fighting for, and a relationship he trusts. Until he learns Spencer will be performing with Spencer’s ex, who left scars on his daddy. Suddenly, the home they built together doesn’t feel so steady. Running feels safer than staying.

Now Spencer is caught between the band that made him… and the boy who became his home. If he can’t convince Jamie to stay—and keep the past from tearing them apart—he might lose the two things he loves most.

The men of The Road to Rocktoberfest are back, and this time they’re playing for keeps. Whether on the stage or at home, they love just as hard as they play. So hop onto the tour buses and join us on the path to stardom!

It was so good to be back with not only Jamie and Spencer but also Rocktoberfest! Spencer decides to get his old band back together and it upends their lives. It causes some issues with Jamie when Spencer keeps fixing things for his ex. This was quite a rollercoaster of emotions! These two have a few things to work through but it’s totally worth it. A very enjoyable read!.

Unfinished Noise by Brina Brady is part of the Road to Rocktoberfest multi author series with Jamie and Spencer’s story.. The road to Rocktoberfest is in itself a journey with each city stop Spencer has to balance his love for Jamie and the chaos his ex boyfriend Billy creates anytime he is near. Allowing Billy and Farlan back into the band was a hard decision but Spencer knew it was what was best for their old band to get to Rocktoberfest and knock it out of the park for their comeback tour. Jamie knew it was going to be difficult being on tour with Billy and he tried everything to keep their distance but when Billy keeps creating problems it is really starting to get on his nerves. In each city there was some kind of crisis and Jamie growing in his confidence and not shrinking against Billy’s pointed looks and wishes of being with Spencer again. I really loved this story and how much Jamie grew into himself and showed Spencer he would stay and work out the difficulties whenever it was needed. The love between the two was sweet, insightful and the mending of two hearts so no one questions where they stand with one another.

Spencer and Jamie have resettled in California and seem to be able to move forward with their lives together. Then, the newly formed band falls apart and Spencer, and his best friend and bandmate Nathan, have to figure out something else. Getting the old band back together, despite the major issues, solves the problem. I was hoping for a little more about Jamie and Spencer as a couple, but the band takes center stage, haha. Spencer and Nathan also prove to be a bit less concerned for their boys and much more concerned about keeping the band running smoothly. Spencer doesn't seem to notice how insufferable Billy, the troublemaker of the band, is and just fixes everything for him. Jamie's reactions are also a bit inconsistent because he says he's not going anywhere, but at the first sign of trouble he is running. The ending is a HFN at best.

How far do you trust? Jamie and Spencer have a problem, Spencer's comeback. Spencer has been offered a tour ending at Roctoberfest, but it means bringing his old band back together including Billy and Farlan. Spencer isn't pleased at the prospect of having to ward off any possible advances from his ex and trying to protect his partner, Jamie, at the same time. I'm certainly glad that I've never been in Spencer's predicament, which he handles brilliantly even after Jamie runs off thinking he's helping Spencer's comeback chances. Jamie's past makes trust difficult but Spencer's constancy, determination, and dedication are what wins the day.

This book had a lot of ups and downs and a lot of emotions. Spencer and Jamie are trying very hard to have a relationship that is lasting but everything seems to turn around when Spencer’s former band want to get back together and Spencer is eager to get back on the road. That is when the challenges for Spencer and Jamie’s relationship really surface. Will their lives ever be steady or will their future mean that they are constantly travelling and how much strain with the relationship be able to hold? This was a great read by Brina Brady and the emotional roller coaster ride is one that is filled with tense moments and so many wonderful moments.

Spencer and Jamie have a relationship that really made me care about what happened to them. Jamie’s reaction to Spencer rejoining the band felt understandable, especially with the history and old wounds involved, and I liked seeing Spencer caught between something that shaped his past and the person who represents his future.

There’s plenty of emotional tension here, with trust being tested and old feelings refusing to stay buried. I enjoyed watching them work through the difficult parts rather than having everything magically fixed, and the Daddy/boy dynamic added another layer to their connection. A heartfelt second-chance-at-love story with plenty of angst and emotion.

"It meant building a life that wasn't neat or quiet but real, messy, and theirs."

I was so excited when Brina said she was writing a book for the Rocktoberfest series and even more so when I found out it was going to be sequel to Jamie's Christmas story from last year. I really enjoyed the first book and wanted to get to see rockstar "Daddy" Spencer.

Jaime has grown so much. There's almost anything left of the abandoned man Specer first picked up in the last book. I loved seeing these two happy, even when life throws complications their way. As an added bonus, we saw Alfie and Nathan plan their beautiful life together. Such a great couple. And if the ending felt a little rushed, it still gave us what we needed.

Challenges and compromise. Spencer, is facing the emotional relationship challenge or runiting the band and playing with his ex, Billy. Jamie, is complacent and happy with his life in school and Spencer. Then he realizes Spencer, is rauniting with the band and Billy. Spencer, has to juggle many changes and set priorities for his life and his career. Jamie, has to dig deep to see if the relationship can bear the weight of emotional stress. It's a good love story of commitment, challenges and career and personal, growth sacrifices and compromise. Brina, makes excellent characters that face challenges, overcome them, then face new challenges to test adn strengthen relationships. Good flow, great characters, well done! This book is incredible and hard to put down. Spencer who is not only building a life with his new little Jamie, but never in his wildest dreams did he imagine going to Rocktoberfest with his old band Black Shadows. Jamie also doesn’t expect it especially since he hates one of the band members, for good reasons but goes on tour with his daddy to be supportive and by his side. Along the way they both learn the give and take of not only a relationship but also how a daddy and a little need communication and trust. The ride is bumpy, the storyline pulling you with them and their band mates especially their two friends Nathan, the drummer in the band and his little Alfie who has become a brother to Jamie. Don’t miss out on this ride! Make sure to read the trigger warnings.

Unfinished Noise is a follow up to Brady’s book Jamie. Jamie and Spencer are happy in their relationship and settled but things change when Spencer’s former band wants to get back together. Spencer misses performing and wants to go back to music. Jamie needs to wrap his head around the transition of having a cowboy daddy to a rock star daddy and how different those worlds are for him. This is even more challenging because Spencer’s ex is in the band.
Honestly, I liked Spencer as a character a lot more in Jamie than in this book. Jamie, is a little but he isn’t incompetent. Thankfully, Spencer does love him.

Unfinished Noise was a captivating D/l story that held my attention from the beginning. Spencer and Jamie had a cute dynamic when Daddy Spencer saved him last Christmas from being abandoned in the snow. Now Spencer is reconnecting with the old band and doing a short tour...with the ex-band members who hurt him. I loved the behind the scenes detail of touring, wow the drama was either entertaining or I needed to place people in the corner!! Spencer and Jamie's journey to their HEA was emotional, thank goodness for supportive friends.

I was thrilled to catch up with Spencer and Jamie again, I loved their story in the book where they first met. I'm also a fan of the Road to Rocktoberfest series, so this book was the perfect combo for me.
Following Spencer's journey back into his band, while he juggles unresolved history with his bandmates and a future with Jamie, was an emotional rollercoaster. This book brought out so many different emotions, and the writing made for a wonderfully smooth read.

They were such a crazy chaotic mess but you know, the good chaotic mess. There's was some things that went over my head and I didn't really understand what was happening, due to not reading the novella, but they gave slight info on it so it was okay after. It was such a good story and I loved them but hated how Spencer was the problem fixer for his EX of all people and it drove me crazy that he got mad at Jamie for being mad at him for being his exs fixer still. But whatever he understood him after.

It’s time for Black Shadows to put their past behind them and try to reunite the band. Spencer has built a beautiful life with Jamie, after the band broke apart along with shattering his heart. Jamie understands his daddys longing to bring the band back but doesn’t know how to handle all the drama that comes with bringing the band back together. These two go through a lot in showing how much they mean together while still fighting for their biggest dreams. It was nice to see a real relationship set in the rockstar lifestyle. Overall, an enjoyable read mixed in with drama on top of drama.

I found this story really wonderful to read. While A Little Christmas: Jamie was a wonderful love story, there was so much more for Jamie and Spencer after the happy ending. From drama with Alfie and Nathan, Spencer's ex who would like not to be his ex, and all the drama that entails, to separations for other reasons and Rocktoberfest being the new launch pad for Spencer's band, it's a long, wonderful journey for them to figure out exactly how they work as a couple and a few surprises, too.

Nathan convinces Spencer to come out of retirement & get back together with Black Shadow and be one of the headliners for Rocktoberfest this year. Accompanying Spencer & Nathan are their boyfriends Jamie & Alex. Jamie is excited to go with Spencer till he learns that the guitar player is Spencer's ex Billy, & things don't seem quite closed for the ex as it is for Spencer. Low Angst, HEA. This book sucked me right in and kept my interest all the way to the end.
The band that caused them problems in the first place is getting back together. Will they find their happy ever after? Or will the band succeed in breaking them up completely?
Spencer needs to find himself again. Jamie needs to trust him and gain confidence.
Find out if it works out by reading this book.

Regrouping musicians with unstable. candy pacifier sucking, teddy bear toting lovers (Littles). Story of second chances and personalities learning to cope and coexist. Not my favorite from this author but worth the read, depending on one’s bent. I will continue to follow Brina and looking forward to my next read!

I really loved this story. Recommended! I appreciate that the story is not formulaic or one where the genders of one of the protagonists is changed to rehash a CIS romance. Loved the addition of the kink to the spicy mix.

As I’ve come to expect from Brina Brady, a finely written story about two MCs who choose each other in a loving way.
A story with a bit of turmoil as well. A good addition to this series.

I was really hoping we would get more of Spencer and Jamie and we did. I have read a few books by Brina and none have disappointed. Left you wanting more yes, but I haven't been disappointed. Spencer gets to experience the band again but with Jamie beside him the whole time. Their biggest challenge was Billy. Overall I enjoyed this book a lot. Thank you Brina for the opportunity to arc this book.
