Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

I haven't seen this in Crea's books before, or at least not noticably, but the majority of this novella was just recapping events from previous Van Doren books and then rehashing the events again.... I just question that if you removed all of that from the book, what is actually left of Auden and Mark's story?!

Van Doren is my favourite of Crea's series, but this was a miss for me. There was no emotional development or real relationship progression at all, rather it was just pure kink scenes interlinked by the recapping of other books, the medical care of Rhodes's boyfriend, or phone calls with Jalon. I get that neither wanted to officially have a relationship label or talk about their feelings, but the chase / cnc / primal scenes just felt too repetitive to really make me interested in whatever was going on between Mark and Auden, so without anything else going on between them it just felt really flat and forced.

Honestly I could have just been told in passing in another book in the series that Mark and Auden were together and enjoyed kink! Definitely my least favourite of the Van Doren books unfortunately.

This story follow Auden and Mark. It was a very fast burn, but still built up their relationship as much as they did themselves. The Van Doren family has about a million members, and it was fun meeting a bunch of them and learning about them. Seeing Auden’s relationships with his son and brother were probably my favorite. Despite being about two men who are determined to avoid real feelings, you could definitely feel the love that grew between them.

This book is a delicious, high heat MM romance that dives straight into the shadowy, whispered desires of two powerful men who finally stop pretending.

Auden Van Doren is the classic billionaire CEO with a reputation, he’s the “slutty” one in the family (his words, not mine), the guy who never settles and keeps his private life very private.
When his son Rhodes completely unravels after Bennett gets hurt in a hunting accident, family doctor Mark (George Markanich) shows up to help.
What starts as medical care quickly turns into something far more charged.

The setup is brilliant, forced proximity while Mark nurses Bennett, combined with that electric moment when Auden and Mark realize they share the same dark, intense kinks that most people only fantasize about in secret.
They negotiate an arrangement to explore those fantasies safely while Mark is on site.

What follows is raw, primal, and unapologetically filthy…. chase scenes, power exchange, being overpowered and held down, all executed with intense chemistry and surprisingly thoughtful aftercare.
The spice is off the charts, but it never feels over the top. There’s real negotiation, consent, and vulnerability as Mark’s defenses come down.

I loved how Crea Reitan weaves this into the larger Van Doren universe. If you’re already hooked on the family (with their chaotic, protective, sometimes unhinged energy, Rhodes and his pack of massive wolves alone had me grinning), this feels like a natural extension.

Auden’s son takes after his father in ways that add a layer of danger and family loyalty when things escalate. The attack on Mark brings real stakes, blending the erotic with suspense without derailing the romance.

Auden is commanding and experienced but surprisingly reflective about his reputation and his relationship with his son. Mark is the composed, professional doctor who harbors these hidden, submissive/primal cravings, he’s breathtaking when he lets go.
Their connection is scorching hot, but also tender in the quieter moments.

At around 221 pages, it’s a quick, addictive read, perfect for “just one more chapter” sessions that turn into staying up way too late.
It’s not a slow burn slow build epic, it’s more like a tightly packed, intense novella length story with a lot of heat and some emotional payoff.

If you’re new to the Van Doren books, it still works as a standalone entry point into this kinky CEO world, (though if your not familiar, the characters it maybe a little overwhelming) i loved the family cameos 😊

I did love the mature MM romance (both men are established adults), heavy kink/BDSM elements (primal play, power dynamics, etc.), billionaire tropes with real bite, and a touch of danger/family drama.

Overall, I had a fantastic time with this one. It delivers exactly what the blurb promises, secret fantasies coming to life with dangerous consequences.
The chemistry between Auden and Mark is magnetic, the kinks are powerfully written, and it left me eager for more in the CEOs of Kink series.
If you enjoy Crea Reitan’s signature blend of chaotic family vibes, heartfelt moments beneath the filth, and unfiltered spice, this is a must read.

It’s steamy, addictive, and a great kickoff to a new kinky corner of the Van Doren world. 😜
Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something primal and satisfying.

Read the other Van Doren books first

Unfortunately, Mister Van Doren by Crea Reitan didn't hit the mark for me personally. Mister Van Doren is a book within the CEOs of Kink collection. According to the author's note this is also part of another series as well. I feel like this really did not fit into the collection. In order to read this I feel you kinda have to read her other books first. There are so many characters(which she gives us a heads up) but I was so lost majority of the story. Between the multiple generations, complex relationships, and various side plots, I couldn't keep track of who was who, who is with who, who is having babies with who and who does what. I felt like i needed a family tree. This aspect alone made this very difficult for me to truly dive into the story.
Technically the book is about Auden Van Doren and Doctor George Markanich(Mark).  The story about them mainly takes place just on the spicy pages. The kinks themselves were okay and adventurous just the progression of everything felt off. We don't get much of their emotional situationship(can't count that against the book because technically we were warned that "we don't talk about feelings in this book"). Without the emotional connection though this felt  awkward and forced, almost like a contract instead of a natural spark.By the end i didn't feel like I truly knew either of the mmcs. Also I think there may be a misplaced chapter? The story time line jumps so much that I can't be sure though. What occurs in Chapter 12 to me should take place directly after chapter 7.  Having chapters in between these two throws a lot off. The time jumps in the story made the 223 pages feel much longer than they were because so little of the plot actually focused on Auden and Mark.

There were glimpses of interesting, tragic backstories involving the extended family that caught my interest, but those events clearly happened in other books and/or timelines. If you are already a fan of this author’s universe, you might enjoy this more. As an arc reader specifically for the CEO collection, this was a struggle that i felt was unnecessary.  I am never a fan of giving a low rating especially like this when possibly if other books were read first this might not have been a two star read. I highly recommend reading the author’s backlist first if you want to truly get a grip on this family dynamic.

There’s a particular kind of reader, the kind with a fondness for morally grey men, emotionally perilous situations, and a spice level that could legally qualify as a weapon, who approaches a book like Mister Van Doren with confidence. After all, how surprising can another dark, kinky, CEO-adjacent romance really be?

Well. Consider me humbled.

My first encounter with Crea Reitan reads less like a gentle introduction and more like being dropped, headfirst, no helmet, into the deep end of a sprawling, decadent universe. Because Mister Van Doren is not just a book; it’s a door. And behind that door? A dynasty. A legacy. A whole parade of beautifully chaotic individuals who clearly all have backstories I was not invited to beforehand.

And yet… I’m intrigued.

Auden and Mark’s story unfolds with that delicious blend of darkness and desire that makes my little black heart positively purr. This is not your cookie-cutter romance; it’s layered, emotionally charged, and unapologetically indulgent in its exploration of power, control, and vulnerability. Potent chemistry. Immaculate tension. Surprisingly tender beneath all that polished edge emotional payoff.

But, and it’s a significant but, this book assumes you know things. People. Histories. Entire dynamics. The Van Doren family doesn’t just exist; they dominate the narrative space with the confidence of characters who have already lived several lifetimes across previous books. At times, I felt less like a reader and more like an uninvited guest at a very glamorous, very complicated family reunion.

And then there’s the chaos. Glorious, dramatic chaos. Side characters storming in with flair (looking at you, Rhodes and Bennet), plot threads hinting at past upheavals, and moments where Auden and Mark almost get overshadowed by the sheer magnitude of everything else happening. It’s a lot. Delicious, but a lot.

Still, despite the occasional “who are you and why are you yelling?” confusion, the core relationship holds strong. The forced proximity trope does what it does best, cornering two men into confronting not just each other, but themselves, and the result is both steamy and unexpectedly heartfelt.

So where does that leave me?

Darkly satisfied. Slightly disoriented. And, against all odds, hungry for more.

Because if this is what stepping blindly into the Van Doren world feels like, I can only imagine the decadence of understanding it fully.

For a book that is in a series that has been named the "CEO's of Kink" there wasn't as much smut as I was anticipating. Sure, there are definitely chunks where Mark and Auden get down and dirty, but there were also multiple scenes that some spice was alluded to, but then it kind of fades to black. So a high heat MM romance for sure, but with elements of closed door romance as well. It was kind of a weird combination.

You'll find the following kinks in "Mister Van Doren"
- CNC (they specifically call it "rape play")
- Primal Play with rougher sex elements
- Edging
- Power Exchange/Power Dynamics
- Stalking (with both parties aware)

You get to see a little bit of the Van Doren's that we've come to know and love, and the author has promised that Jalon's book is coming. But there are some scenes where we get to see some of his life and who he's been secretly dating. Not that it was much of a secret hint in the book where we learn that he is in a secret relationship (Voss's book, I believe). Anywho, you get to see what they've been up to.

The whole book is Mark and Auden's day to day, Rhodes and Bennett's dynamic while Bennett is healing after an injury, and their played out fantasies. The author throws some low level drama in at the end, and it kind of connects, but it felt like a stretch. Like at the end of the book, she went, "ah shit, I haven't added any hardships for these characters" and kind of connected something from the beginning of the book. And we learn after that, that Mark kind of has a darker side. Did not see that coming from his character.

The first time that Auden has sex with Mark, he does not describe his physical appearance in a very positive way. He’s a little chunky and has a flat butt were the main takeaways. Then later in the book Auden says that he’s super attractive and he didn’t realize how striking he was. So that was a little muddled.

Anyway, not a terribly long book and it was smutty enough that it moved quickly. If you're looking forward to Jalon's book, I would think reading this would make sense. I liked it well enough. Enjoy!

When you start reading this author’s world of the van Dorens, you’ll get hooked, as I did.
We are now at the family branch of Auden van Doren. Auden is Jalon van Doren’s cousin.
It’s a close family so you will meet and recognize several family members (again).

Auden’s son Rhodes is losing his mind, and his partner Bennett is injured in a hunting accident.
Rhodos has a pack of seven massive (domestic) wolves who are highly protective; they are all surrounding Bennett.
In steps Doc Mark. He tries to convince Rhodes that Bennett will be okay. It just helps a little.

Mark has been the van Doren family doctor since he graduated.
Auden aka the slutty billionaire CEO, watch him for the first time with different eyes. Mark is quite breathtaking.
Mark has to be honest, Auden is everything he dreamed of about a man. A man who he wants to be overpowered by, held down by, chased, and let him do everything kinky he dreamed of.
He will never say it out loud because that’s inappropriate, he works for the family.

Oh my goodness, when Auden approached Mark, it was sooo intense.

It’s not just a story, there are interactions between family. It describes the rich interior in a way that makes it clear before your eyes, and you can almost smell the leather.
The BDSM scenes are amazing, and powerfully executed, all super intense.

I more than enjoyed this story!

"He fits like a puzzle piece. No matter how he’s curled up when he drops, he just fits in my hold." - Auden

"Clearly, I have a problem. Not because I’m constantly thinking he’s watching me from the shadows, but because it turns me on." - Mark

This is a spicy novella about Doctor Mark and Auden Van Doren. Auden has never had a relationship before and wasn't planning on getting into one, but he likes playing with Mark. Mark has always wanted to try k!nky things, and Auden is the one for that. Auden also has a son named Rome who asked for his help. It's a compliment when an (adult) child asks their parents for help, and I'm glad that Auden & Mark helped him. Auden & Mark are good together, and I love how they think of each other's boundaries while also pushing each other to try something new. They obviously care a lot about each other, even though they are very allergic to talking about feelings.

I love reading about all the generations and them having children. Jalon will always be one of my favorites; he is the one who created a safe space for his loved ones, where everyone can fully be themselves, and it seems like he finally thought of his own feelings too. I'm so incredibly excited to read his book; it can be the longest book, in my opinion, he deserves it. I think I've mentioned a lot that this is one of my favorite dark romance found families EVER!

Whilst one of Reitan's shorter reads, it made the book no less enjoyable. I loved getting to know more about Auden after hints of his character through other Creaverse books, and learning more about Mark - another one to make cameos through the books - was great, too.

What I love most about this one is that Reitan wasn't shy to write about characters further along in life - these characters are in their 40's/50's (she does make note of exact ages, I just have a severely broken brain currently), and you can tell they have so many lived experiences - from the families created, stories going back in the Van Doren timeline, and general worldly knowledge. It's certainly a breath of fresh air, and I love how it's also setting up for another later in life romance in the Van Doren series/Creaverse (I won't say who for spoilers, but it's a book I've been waiting for!).

I really enjoyed the aspect of kink exploration that Reitan weaved into the narrative, and whilst kink and "not romance" (cause Auden will have my head if I call this a romance) were the focus of this book, there was also the underlying plot that tied everything together.

My only other comment? Damn you Crea for making me want a wolf pack 😂

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

A new author for me with in the CEO of Kink series.
As I am not a Crea Reitan reader, The Van Doren Family were now to me as a reader, so this story, as a one off, did not really meld with me personally.
Yes there is plenty of back story within the book, but as a quick novella read it was challenging trying to remember all the members of this extensive family. If you are a reader of Crea, then this story would have blended with you much more easily.
As far as CEO's and their kinks, then this hits the target, as Auden realises that even though he was known for his revolving door of lovers (were they male or female, that I am not sure of, as he is a father, and it was not specifically written that he preferred male to female partners).
So when he settles for one lover, whom shares similar kinks to him, it comes as a surprise to his brother Jalon.
Mark was the Van Doren Family Doctor and best friend to Jalon.
Auden Van Doren was his boss.
That does not stop them sharing similar kinks and venturing into a relationship that encompasses their s3xual preferences.
Not wanting to acknowledge commitment Auden is quite happy to continue with Mark and their current circumstances until Mark is attacked.
Realising that he nearly lost someone close to him, Auden decides maybe settling down with his current love is not such a bad idea after all!

We get Uncle Auden's story now. Auden (Mister Van Doren) is the CEO of his own company, so thankfully he's able to be there for his son, Rhodes, after Rhodes's partner Bennett, gets injured on a "hunt'. Bennett gets injured while hunting with the "puppy pack" & Rhodes, while on Auden's land. The whole incident causes Rhodes to spiral & become obsessive over Bennett's safety and health. Rhodes & the VD's call on Dr. Mark when the family needs a doctor they can trust & rely on. Dr. Mark arrives at Auden's house & checks Bennett over, stitches him up, & gets him on the road to recovery. With Rhodes being so extra, scared, & slightly neurotic about Bennett....Dr. Mark agrees to stay for the time being. Dr. Mark takes the cabin on the property, close to the house. Over the next little bit of time they grow comfortable in the new routine (if not ready to lock Rhodes in the basement), and one evening Mark is caught unaware in the kitchen...and is unable to hide the lust & yearning for certain things fast enough from Auden. Auden asks Mark to be vulnerable & tell him what he "really" wants. What follows is some sexy primal play & two men finding their person with each other...all without discussing their feelings, or labeling themselves as a "couple". I loved all the supporting characters and getting peeks at their lives. Definitely recommend this kinky novella.

For those who are familiar with the Van Doren family, you’ll know Auden. Father of Rhodes and the one everyone teases about having a revolving door of lovers. Though lately, that hasn’t been the case. So he is taken by surprise when Doc Mark arrives on his doorstep after Rhodes’s boyfriend has a bit of an accident and needs medical care. It’s like Auden is seeing Mark for the first time and suddenly they find themselves exploring their secret fantasies together. And Auden is…happy. Mark has always thought Auden was hot and exactly how he pictured his type of man. Mark doesn’t have time for actual relationships though. Being the doctor for the Van Doren family keeps him very busy. But when Rhodes’s becomes a little too paranoid about Bennett’s health, he finds himself sticking around longer. And in doing so he finds himself sharing a lot with Auden. Their relationship may start off one way, but I loved by the end that these two realize just how much more they mean to one another. Great story all around! Loving getting to know more about the Van Dorens and even Mark since he has appeared quite a lot. This was just a fun story all around with the little bit of danger you can always expect from a Van Doren featured book.

The problem I have now after finishing this book is that I want my own wolf dog pack... thanks, Crea 😒 this is inconvenient 🤣.

Jokes ( or not ) aside, I LOVED Mister Van Doren. I MEAN... He is a Van Doren after all. HOW COULD I NOT LOVE HIM? This small country of a family has my heart and I can't wait to see what's next. These m0f0s really know how to keep me on my toes.

Mark and Auden really are the definition of "match my freak" and I love that for them. This is a novella(ish) so do not expect too much when it comes to their character development (there was not enough time), but do expect a lot of spice. These two delivered big time. They are spicy, Spicy, SPICY.

I LOVED how they both were older and we got to see them find their person later on in life. Not only that but also meet someone they were comfortable enough with to start exploring certain k*nks. This story shows that just because you're not in your 20s anymore it doesn't mean you can't explore and experience new things.

Tbh, I don't even know which scene was sexier, but if I had to choose I'd say "THAT OFFICE SCENE" had me panting.

I love pr!mal play and CNC so this was right up my alley, throw in a Van Doren and I am sat.

Also, I loved seeing Daddy Jalon in a more relaxed way. GIVE ME MORE, MISS CREA, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

4.5⭐️ - a great addition to the Van Doren part of the Creaverse 🥰.

Short and oh so spicy, just how I like them. This book is one of the CEOs of Kink, featuring another Van Doren, only this time, not one of the main ones we know. Though I believe we have met Auden before, or at least had mentions of him, we've definitely met his son and his pack. Auden isn't one for settling down; he's had a revolving door of lovers throughout his life, but he's getting older now, and he knows it needs to come to an end, much to the surprise of his family. Mark is the Van Doren family doctor, like the generations before him. When Rhodes's boyfriend is injured, Mark begins to spend a lot of time with Auden.

These two are so hot together, and even if Mark thinks originally that it crosses a line with him being the family doctor, something that is meant to be just some fun becomes so much more as Mark and Auden share their kinks together. I absolutely adored these two together, and loved seeing that you can find love even in later life; you don't have to be a young 20-something-year-old.

As with most Crea Reitan books, I do suggest that you read the CWs before going in because it might not be your cup of tea, though it certainly was mine.

Mister Van Doren is a well-balanced romance that blends emotional depth with a strong character-driven dynamic.

Auden and Mark’s relationship stands out through its development, particularly in how it explores trust, communication, and personal discovery. Their connection feels intentional, with both emotional and physical aspects working together to build a believable relationship.

One of the most impactful elements of the story is the relationship between Auden and his son, Rhodes. Their bond adds an emotional layer that grounds the story, especially during moments where Rhodes is struggling with worry and fear. Watching both Auden and Mark support him reinforces the sense of care and connection within the story.

The balance between emotional moments and the more intense aspects of the relationship is handled well, making the overall reading experience feel both engaging and meaningful.

Overall, this is a strong and layered romance that combines character growth, emotional connection, and well-executed dynamics.

Thank you to Crea Reitan and Chaotic Creatives for allowing me the chance to read this beautiful read!

I read Mister Van Doren by @creareitan and I also love diving back into the Van Doren universe. This book is a little different because it also crosses over with CEO’s of Kink series (this being the first of that series), however I definitely think that you will enjoy this more if you have read the previous Van Doren books first because there is a lot of cross over characters, mentioning of previous events and storyline’s that may be confusing if you haven’t read the previous books. I absolutely loved every connection because I’m up to date with the Van Doren universe.
This was the story of Auden Van Doren and Dr Mark (actually named Dr George Markanick), both characters are mature MC’s, Auden previously known to never commit and have a revolving door of partners and Dr Mark has remained a mystery.
Auden has been rethinking his relationships lately and circumstances land Dr Mark in close proximity to Auden. These two realise they connect in more ways than one, their kinks perfectly align. They explored CNC, stalking, primal play (so check the context warnings before reading), the chemistry between these two was smoking hot.
This was a short book, that I read in one sitting. I would have enjoyed continuing to read more from these two, especially more of the romance side of their relationship! I loved seeing them explore their kinks and Auden’s relationship with his son and the rest of the Ban Doren family. I’m looking forward to the next Ban Doren installment.

ARC Review

"Every secret has a dangerous consequence," and this story delivers on that promise fast.

I was immediately drawn into the intense emotional gravity and the way the characters’ private lives collide with real danger. The dynamic between Mark and Mister Van Doren is compelling, and I loved how their connection isn’t treated like a fantasy in isolation, it’s tied to vulnerability, trust, and the consequences of letting someone see too much.

The tension builds through choice and surrender, with an arrangement that feels necessary and risky rather than casual. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that what they want isn’t without cost, especially when the danger closes in and the stakes hit closer than either of them likely expected.

By the time things escalate, the book shifts into darker, more suspenseful territory, and I found myself fully locked in. This is heat with teeth, secrets with fallout, and a relationship plot that keeps tightening until the outcome feels inevitable.

I love the Van Dorens and getting to read about Auden was perfect for the next book in this series. We get glimpses of Auden throughout the series and he is the playboy single father who will never settle down. Things start changing with Dr. Mark shows up to take care of his son Rhodes boyfriend. While Mark has been attracted to Auden he never thought anything would happen. While the attraction grows Mark expresses some of his deepest desires and fantasies, which has Auden more than happy to bring them to reality for him. The story is full of steam and primal kinks. While this book is short and full of high heat the story is enjoyable and we get more insights into the world of the Van Dorens. Their story may not have been super romantic it was what was perfect for them. Seeing Auden finally find the person that would make his choose to settle down just makes you smile as you read. Mark and Auden are a match that just makes sense. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

That's one Kinky Doctor

I'll start by saying this is my first book by this author so I am not familiar with all the characters and such.

I love some primal play so this was fun to read. The anticipation of what would happen definitely kept Mark on edge. I appreciate him being honest about what he wanted and knowing when he needed something different.

I do feel like there were soooo many characters mentioned that I just gave up trying to remember their connections. Plus most of them had absolutely nothing to do with this story.

I would have liked more actual connection between Mark and Auden outside of the kinky stuff. Even aftercare was not really connecting just okay let me hold you. I think they could be good together but they need more than primal play, stalking and CNC to build a relationship.

As a kinky novella I definitely enjoyed the kink scenes.

Please read the trigger warnings

Finally get to see the playboy Auden find his match. What I like about this one you see Auden really open up and feel. And then trying to be a better father to Rhodes. Then Mark I like how he cares for this family. From being their doctor and going further in his education for the future Van Doren. Both together are quite Kinky. And with that being said, they need to have a lot of trust and amazing communication. Because of the scenes that they do. Also, like the fact that Crea put the aftercare scenes in. Some of my favorite parts of this book was the family aspect. Because you get to meet the extended family. Also have the main family, get some hints on what’s happening in their life. Let’s not forget Wolf-Dogs they are so precious to this family. I cannot wait to see what happens next for Van Doren family.

Ohhh okay, so Auden can actually stick with one person!

Mark is the family doctor for the Van Dorens' and is called out to Auden’s estate after Rhodes (Auden's son) boyfriend Bennett is hurt. Mark is drawn to Auden because he’s the exact type he would go for. But Auden is very much known for having many lovers and settling down has never been his thing.

I really enjoyed these two together! I loved the communication between them from the start! I liked seeing them explore the different kinks together. And goodness the chemistry between them was hot. I loved that Auden was super reassuring with Mark to let him know that there wasn’t anything wrong with what he enjoys.

I can’t wait for what comes next in the Creaverse!

I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.

This book is a shorter but enjoyable read. I appreciate how the characters are open to exploring their desires with one another. However, I felt that I was missing some background information; delving deeper into the Van Doren family would provide more context than reading it as a standalone.

Mark serves as the family doctor, frequently traveling between Oregon and Arizona. When one of the CEO's son’s boyfriends is injured, Mark stays at Auden's estate in Oregon.

Auden is the CEO of one of the Van Doren companies. When his son’s boyfriend gets hurt, his son becomes a bit chaotic regarding his boyfriend's health and pain levels. Auden reassures his son that everything will be alright.

Amidst the turmoil, Mark and Auden decide to have a little fun together.

Each time I read CreaVerse books, it just keeps getting better. Such a vast world with so many characters. I love them all.

This was so good. I'm so glad Auden finally got his HEA and settled down.

These two were perfect for each other.

They were able to give each other something unique.

These two were hot!

I also adored seeing snippets of Daddy Jalon, still hoping one day we will get his book.

Also, super looking forward to finally read Kairo’s book as well. Aarath too.

Such an exciting world. Always with the Van Dorens we get some action and suspense. I just love it.

SO thankful for this arc

Mister Van Doren - Crea Reitan
4.25/5✨🌟

* SPOILERS *

I have loved every single one of Crea’s books and I absolutely love the Van Doren family. They are so unpredictable and it just makes you want more and more.

This was a short book and it was a quick and fun read. It has some things so definitely read those trigger warnings. I love me a good primal and prey scene and this had several of them.

I love Mark and Auden from start to finish.

When a little situation happens, Auden takes matters into his hands to protect what is his.

I love that we get the other cameos and I cannot wait to read more from the Van Doren family. Also, there were a few funny scenes. Loved this book so much.

I received a copy of this audiobook and this is my honest review.

Mark and Auden were the perfect intro to a new series. A hot new kinky one 🫠

This was a hot quick read. Even though it was short it was packed full.

Whew these two had some insane chemistry. The times they shared were hot, I mean those primal scenes 🥵

While there were those hot times, there was also a lot of communication and the aftercare, muah chefs kiss! These two really did have a connection and I hope we see more in future books to see how their relationship has progressed.

Seeing some other Van Dorens pop in, made me so happy. I love this whole insane unhinged family!!

Also, the drop of Daddy Jalon's partner, hellll yessssss, I can't wait!!!!

Doctor Mark is on site taking care of Bennett after an injury, and he and Auden forge a connection. It is… unique in many ways. First because Auden is a prolific/serial lover and doesn’t have repeat connections and doesn’t let those connections into his actual spaces. Yet they also connect over the things they mutually enjoy. Unsurprisingly, Rhodes is needy and hovering as Bennett recovers, and Mark needs to stay close allowing the older men to forge an even deeper relationship. I love that all of these characters are finding love, but I have to say that any time Rhodes’ pack is on the page, they steal the show. Expect a small subplot with the normal Van Doren targets and jobs needing disposed of.

Mister Van Doren - Crea Reitan

I thought these characters had great chemistry. I definitely will be rereading this book after I get to know these characters and the side characters more and other books. I also really enjoyed this author’s writing style. Auden and Mark we’re really fun reading about and I can’t wait to read more about their family.

This book is part of the CEOs of Kink series. There will be a total of 11 books once they are all released. Each book is written by a different but amazing author. This is my first time reading a book by Crea Reitan.
I have to be honest when I began reading this book, I was kinda lost. There were so many names and their relationships mentioned that it was hard to get into this book. As I began to dive deeper into the story, my confusion began to clear. I love this story and the MMCs. It was dark and twisted just like my black little heart!
Thank you, Crea Reitan, for this unhinged, somewhat psychotic and delectable read! I need to know more about the Van Doren Family! I plan to read the Van Doren series as soon as I can. I am loving this unusual and twisted family!!

"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” Mister Van Doren. This dark romance novella explores the evolving relationship between Doctor Mark and Auden Van Doren. While Mark is eager to explore more adventurous intimacy, Auden provides a safe and willing partnership for these new experiences. The story emphasises a strong found family dynamic, particularly through the supportive connection Auden and Mark share with Auden's adult son, Rome. The story successfully balances physical exploration with a deep, protective care between partners who often struggle to tell their feelings. Overall, this entry is a standout for readers who enjoy complex family legacies and high stakes romance. I just wish I knew more about the family. So I will put them on my list to read. 💛

ARC review

Whooooooa Nelly. This one definitely covers kink, and not your run of the mill type. Here we have CNC, and my favourite part about this was that is explored the mental turmoil that comes with liking CNC. In a lot of dark romance, we see CNC with no discussion or after are, and in this book we get both of those in spades. We see Dr Mark struggle with what we craves sexually, and how outside of this carefully negotiated safe space, this would be something that traumatises someone. Seeing him and Auden discuss this struggle is refreshing, though not unexpected from Crea.
Another great Van Doren story to add to the list!
