A gripping and exciting read that had a few surprises for me in the wrap up. I enjoyed this story, I really liked Paisley and I loved seeing Wyatt again after meeting him in one of Rhonda’s earlier books. The Christmas time setting gave an extra element to the story, as well some other story elements that heightened the danger for me. Great read!
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are mine.

Paisley Scott is on the run after the mob brutally murdered her husband. She was a witness and her testimony was enough to put the mobster in prison. She immediately was placed in witness protection and had to change her appearance and location. She was relocated to New Mexico from Florida. However, was discovered there. Marshall, protecting her and her baby David then made plans for her to move to Colorado. She met him in a parking lot with last-minute instructions when he was murdered- she took off in her car. She got away while they shot at her. She arrives in Colorado searching for refuge at Wyatt Snyder’s ranch. It is in a remote area so she is hoping will keep them safe. Although she knows the mob doesn’t give up easily. Paisley soon discovers she has to not only hide from the mob as they want revenge, but her in-laws also want her son David as he is the child of their only son. They pleaded with her to return to Florida with their grandson. She doesn’t trust them also fears she won’t feel safe.
Wyatt Snyder is a great guy. He has a five-year-old daughter, Molly. His wife Ashley was the only woman he ever loved but died in childbirth. He has no desire to marry again. Hmmm
Main story is at Christmas time and, of course, expecting a HEA. This was an enjoyable read!

This was a fast-paced suspense with romance and faith interwoven into every page. I was drawn in by everything Paisley has gone through and the hits never stopped coming. Thank goodness she ended up where she did and I enjoyed watching how everything worked out.
