This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Dakota and Molly’s story.
Molly is Dakota’s best friends’ sister, and they have know each other almost all of their lives. One-night changes everything between them.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, secrets, insecurities, engaging meddling, gossiping, and realistic characters, friends / lovers, humour, witty banter, soulmates, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Dakota and Molly have been in each other's lives forever. They grew up together and lately they been more than friends. But Dakota has wanted her for to long and is ready to make them official and out in the open.

Molly has been falling for him too but is scared that when the rest of their friends and family find out about them, nothing will be the same. But she's starting to see that with Dakota by her side, nothing else matters.

I absolutely loved these two together. And per usual Laramie Briscoe made me fall hard for our MCs.

I’ve loved every couple of the series and the original series but I think Dakota and Molly are my favorite! The sense of home they found in each other is perfect. I can’t believe how they stepped up for each other. I love how they started out as friends, and it progressed into something more. I can’t wait for the series to continue!!

Oh My! This book hit all the feels. This is the second book in the Laurel Springs Fish and wildlife Series. They can be read as a standalone, but if you read the first book you probabaly figured out that Dakota and Molly were up to something.

Molly Harrison is the oldest child of Caleb and Ruby Harrison, and grand daughter to Mason "Menace" and Karina Harrison. These two couples earned themselves a book in the Moonshine Task Force Series and then a book in the Laurel Springs Emergency response team. Dakota Keller is her baby brother Levi's best friend, and grew up across the street from her parents. Molls is a L& D nurse, and Dakota is a fish & wildlife officer.

For Dakota, Molly is the quintessential girl next door. He's started to develop feelings for her as a teenager. However with the Harrison dynasty of law enforcement, Molly swore she was never getting involved with someone in uniform, as we all know the uncertainty there. (Although as an ER nurse I can tell you I've been in some pretty scary situations over the years)

Their relationship is sweet and they kept it to themselves for a long time for a variety of reasons. However Dakota was in for the long haul no matter what, he was willing to wait until Molly was ready to make them public. Even if that was going to cause waves in his friendship with her brother.

For me there was a huge turning point in their relationship, that mirrored something that happened with my husband and I early in our relationship. I may have made him read that portion of the book. ;) I don't want to give away spoilers, but I will say she had a bad deal happen at work and just needed Dakota. Been there done that, and like Dakota, my paramedic husband, (at that point just the guy I was hanging out with) hopped in the ambulance and came across town because I was upset. But since there's 2 people on the ambulance I didn't get the full effect of what Molly did. That's the thing about Dakota, he is just there for Molly whenever she needs it, supporting her.

I am looking forward to the the next book in the series. Personally I hope Ms. Briscoe chooses to continue the Laurel Springs series with all of the offspring. I really love the town!

A secret relationship between a hot young cop and his best friend’s feisty sister…..yes please! Dakota and Molly are no strangers to the life of law enforcement as it is practically engrained in their families. Molly chose a career in nursing as a way to help others, while her brother and father are cops as is Dakota, the man she loves and her brother’s best friend. Molly and Dakota have long been attracted to each other, but have done their best to hide and control it due to the close relationships between their families, and especially between Dakota and Molly’s brother. The sparks combust and lead to passionate encounters that neither want to end. While Dakota is ready to tell everyone that they are now together, Molly is not. She doesn’t want others giving their opinions or asking questions about their relationship, though she finally admits to Dakota that she doesn’t see their relationship as temporary. She just needs more time before they tell their families. But their relationship isn’t the secret that they think it is.

I loved the tension, the chemistry and real connection between Dakota and Molly. His dyslexia does not make him less in her eyes, as it has with other women in his past. She sees how he struggles to overcome his disability, and admires the strength and determination he has shown. She has always gone for the bad boys in the past, and Dakota is every bit the bad boy when they are alone. They each have so much stress in their lives, but when they are together, the stress and the outside noise is alleviated. They just fit together so well. It takes a bit, but their families see it too. I loved how close their families were, (including their work families), the legacies they shared and how they all rally to offer support when needed.

I won’t hesitate to recommend this book and all of the previous books set in Laurel Springs.

The second installment in the Laurel Springs Fish & Wildlife series, Dakota by Laramie Briscoe is a fast-paced, reverse age gap, small-town romance readers are sure to love. As always, I do recommend reading a series in order, but each book can be read as a standalone in the interconnected world.

Dakota has been waiting for the girl next store for what feels like his whole life. Molly Harrison is his best friend's older sister, heir to the Harrison law enforcement legacy and secret friends with benefits. Dakota wants Molly for keeps, but she has claimed to never settle for someone in the same field as her family. As a F&W officer, Dakota falls into that unsafe space, no matter how he makes her feel. They keep their situationship secret, both because of Molly’s claim of no law enforcement dating, and the fact that it may just blow their relationship with Levi. Dakota is willing to give Molly the space she needs, but he’ll never give up on her.

This series reminds me of another author that I really enjoy reading, so that’s a bonus in my book. Dakota and Molly were such a comfort read for me, the cozy enjoyment, the peace a book can give to a chaotic mind. Dakota was there for Molly, point blank, no questions asked. It’s rare to find that level of positive encouragement and support in the fictional world, let alone the real world, but it’s just what he did for Molly. Their relationship wasn’t easy, but it worked for them, and made for a good read. The storyline is easy to keep up with, the spice at a good level for the main leads and having an appearance from book one character was a nice touch. I hope each of the siblings get a book, and the Laurel Spring series continues.

This heartfelt small-town romance blends sweetness, tension, and just the right amount of heat into a story that’s easy to get swept up in. Centered on Dakota Keller, a Fish and Wildlife Officer, and Molly Harrison, an L&D nurse, the novel explores a long-simmering connection that finally comes to life—complicated, of course, by the fact that Molly is Dakota’s best friend’s sister.

What makes this story stand out is the emotional foundation beneath the romance. Dakota has quietly loved Molly for years, and when their relationship shifts from secretive “friends with benefits” to something deeper, the stakes feel real. Their hesitation to go public isn’t just about fear of gossip—it’s about preserving family bonds, especially Dakota’s close friendship with Molly’s brother, Levi. In a tightly knit community like Laurel Springs, those dynamics matter, and the story leans into that tension effectively.

The relationship itself is both tender and passionate. Dakota and Molly are portrayed as true partners—supportive, attentive, and deeply in tune with each other’s struggles. Dakota’s past with dyslexia and bullying adds depth to his character, while Molly’s experiences as a nurse bring emotional weight, especially during a pivotal moment that tests their bond. It’s in these quieter, vulnerable scenes that the book really shines.

Fans of interconnected series will appreciate the extended family ties and recurring characters, though the story remains accessible for newcomers. There’s a sense of history in Laurel Springs that enriches the narrative without overwhelming it.

Overall, this is a satisfying romance that delivers on both emotional depth and chemistry. With strong character dynamics, a supportive love story, and a touch of drama, it’s an engaging addition to the series—and likely to leave readers eager for more from this close-knit community.

This was a sweet small town romance it was the second in the series but I didn't feel lost by not reading the first book. The book starts after our couple Molly & Dakota have been in a secret situationship for several months which actually worked well since it was a shorter story, I feel that if the book is shorter and it's a strangers to more situation it generally feels more rushed with our couple it feels like they already have been building something for awhile since they have known each other since they were kids and that comfort between the two of them is there and feels real.

I loved how sweet Dakota was with Molly even when Molly wasn't sure about her feelings towards him he was always there for her without her even needing to ask, book boyfriend material.

I enjoyed the family interactions but I did feel that the "secret" relationship lasted too long I mean they are all adults and it's going to come out just tell everyone already especially when they think it might cause some hard feelings for her brother and her father.

This might just be a me thing and I know it's fiction but I've been a nurse for a long time and I had some questions about where she was working and how they let her leave whenever she wanted without saying anything... definately fiction.

Overall this was a cute quick read, I thank the author for this arc copy and I have put the first book on my TBR list to check out at some point.

This is book two in The Laurel Springs Fish and Wildlife series and it is Dakota and Molly’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Molly is a labour and delivery nurse and works hard while Dakota is a fish and wildlife officer, they have known each other most of their lives and grew up living across the road from each other and there parents are best friends so there lives have always been in twined. Molly and Dakota are in a secret friends with benefits situation that if revealed could cause a lot of complications especially as Dakota is best friends with Molly’s brother Levi. Dakota and Molly have a strong attraction, chemistry and a beautiful connection and when feelings start to grow and people start to notice there interaction they decide it is time to come clean with their families while hoping that Levi isn’t too mad because it was kept from him. Will Molly and Dakota managed to eventually get a future together, well you will just have to read this book to find out what the outcome will be. Wow I absolutely loved Dakota and Molly and there families and friends with how they always support each other and are always there for each other regardless of the situation or circumstances and what they have to do to protect and keep safe the ones that are so important to them whether it is family or friends. I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down and it was not only addictive but also kept my attention throughout. Laramie Briscoe is a amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.

Dakota by Laramie Briscoe is the second title in the author's The Laurel Springs Fish And Wildlife series and it was a great read.
As a steamy, small town, brother's best friend, friends to lovers romance, the plot and storyline had me hooked quickly along with the engaging characters of Dakota and Molly.
Dakota is the best friend of Molly's younger brother and they and their families have been friends for years. Secretly Dakota has been in love with Molly for years but as he and his best friend Levi and the rest of Levi's family are all in law enforcement the mutual attraction between them has never been acted upon.
Molly is a nurse and has been adamant for years that she would never date or get involved with someone in law enforcement but when she and Dakota move into a friends with benefits situation they keep their thing a secret until they both know if what they have is something they want to pursue.
Dakota and Molly are both engaging characters and they along with their immediate families all prove great characters in this feel good, realistic story.
Their steamy and spicy moments are tempered with real feelings developing and its a pleasure to follow their individual journeys and realisations of what they are to each other and what they want for the future.
Dakota and Molly's chemistry, entertaining family interactions and a well paced story all combine for a great read that had me turning the pages all the way through to the very end for their satisfying HEA. I look forward to the next title in the series.

When I saw the arc application first this book i knew i needed it. It caught my attention straight away and it did not disappoint 😍 I loved Dakota! I've also read the first book just before I got this ARC. Review coming soon.

When this is the first line of the book you know Dakota is going to be filthy 😍
"𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 𝚖𝚒𝚍𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝, 𝚢𝚘𝚞'𝚕𝚕 𝚋𝚎 𝚜𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚢 𝚗𝚊𝚖𝚎."

Love how Lucy was teasing him 😂
"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚖𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚙𝚒𝚌 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚓𝚊𝚠 𝚞𝚙 𝚘𝚏𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚐𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍, 𝙺𝚘𝚝𝚊."

Oh Dakota you know full well that, that is what your going to do anyway.
"𝙱𝚎 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚏𝚞𝚕 𝙼𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚢, 𝙸 𝚖𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜."

Love how his filthy mouth talks to her 🥵
"𝙰𝚕𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗' 𝚠𝚎𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚎, 𝙿𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝙶𝚒𝚛𝚕?"

I knew he Levi wouldn't be pissed off that they are together but he would be pissed that he wasn't told.
"𝙸𝚏 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚑𝚎𝚛," 𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚜, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚟𝚘𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚎𝚝, "𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚋𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞." 𝙷𝚎 𝚙𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚜. "𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚗'𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝙸'𝚖 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚙𝚒𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚍."

I love that she finally feels comfortable telling him especially in such a vulnerable moment.
"𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞," 𝙸 𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚑𝚒𝚖, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚖𝚢 𝚟𝚘𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚋𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚜 𝚜𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚕𝚢 𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚝. "𝚂𝚊𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕𝚜 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚎’𝚟𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍 𝚒𝚝. 𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕𝚜 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚒𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚜 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎'𝚜 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎."

Dakota: Laramie Briscoe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What’s not to love about this sweet and sexy story!! You will so fall in love with Dakota and Molly!!! Dakota has been falling for his best friend sister for longer than he will admit!! Their families live across the street from each other and are good friends, and Levi has been his best friend and biggest supporter all through school while Dakota struggled with dyslexia and bullying.
Dakota and Molly have been seeing each other for a few months and have keep it on the down low while they figure things out for themselves! Will this cause tension within their families? Will it affect the partnership and friendship between Levi and Dakota? You’ll have to read to find out! But let me tell you, the dynamics between Dakota and Molly are exceptionally sweet and spicy🔥! He see’s all of her and is her biggest supporter, while she is his!! Can they overcome the stressors of telling their families and other incidents that arose? If you’re new to Laurel Springs Fish and Wildlife you’ll want to read Levi first!! You will also gets bits of other characters who have their own books by Laramie but not enough to give away huge spoilers and you can still go back and read the Moonshine task force or Emergency response team series!! You won’t be disappointed with this book, it’s a must read! 💕

This is another powerful story from this author that hit me right in the heart.

Molly and Dakota have known each other for many years. Molly’s brother Levi is Dakota’s best friend. They have been building something between them but since their families are so close they have kept it to themselves to be sure.

Molly is a labor and delivery nurse who has also worked in the ER and demonstrates the strength necessary for that role. After a particularly difficult shift, the fact that she turns to Dakota for comfort brings them to a new phase in their relationship.

Dakota works with Levi in fish and wildlife and their families have law enforcement careers. The risks of a law enforcement career become very clear and my heart broke with how real it felt. All the characters are relatable and well developed which is why I shed tears through some of the scenes.

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Macie and Darren‘s story next.

Episode 2 of Laurel Springs Fish & Wildlife...

This is Molly and Dakota’s story and I couldn’t wait to read this after finishing Book 1, Levi’s story. Let me tell you, this one did not disappoint and I am on edge waiting for Book 3, Darren’s story which we get a preview at the end of this one. Amazingly spicy and sweet, this small-town, always been you story will have you riding an emotional roller coaster. I just love how well Kota knows Molly and is sensitive to her needs. Molly understands Kota and appreciates him to the max. They compliment each other so well and I can’t wait to see how they continue in the future.

While this is best read after reading book 1, it can be read as a standalone. If it is the first time you are reading this author the story is pretty easy to follow along, just like picking up in the middle of a tv series. You will not be sorry you tried this one and I am sure you will go back to read the rest in this series and the related ones.

This is the 2nd book in The Laurel Springs Fish and Wildlife series featuring Dakota and Molly's steamy, emotional, friends with benefits, friends to lovers, hot cop, small-town romance. Dakota has known Molly for most of his life since she was the annoying but hot older sister of his best-friend Levi. Until one night changes everything when the two of them crossed the line and they act on their feelings that they always ignored. Since they're not sure what's going going to happen between them they decide to keep their relationship (friends w/benefits) to themselves. However things start getting serious between them but neither Dakota or Molly are prepared for what actually outs them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy, emotional, friends to benefits, friends to lovers, hot cop,small-town romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book. What a great 3rd generation book!
Menace’s granddaughter, Mollie is all grown up and she is getting sexy with Dakota, her younger brother’s BFF. If you loved the previous books in the Moonshine Task Force and Lauren Springs Emergency, then you will love this series… it just keeps getting better! These two grew up together and he has always been crushing on her since he was a teenager. When they finally get together, they don’t tell anyone they are seeing one another and this goes on for a while before their friends and family start to have suspicions… but they both deny anything, until they can’t, but what fun they have and they take us along for the ride.

Laramie is one of my favorite authors and once you start her book you cannot put it down! Her characters have depth, you never wonder what you missed, but you will want more when it ends. Laramie’s books are beautifully written, and you always fall in love with her characters, their friends and family. It is always nice to catch up with characters from her previous book and see how life and love are treating them.

We get to visit Laurel Springs again with the story of Dakota, Fish & Wildlife officer, and Molly, an ER nurse. They have been childhood friends and neighbors, and both families are deeply enmeshed. Which is why, when they start dating, they keep it a secret to alleviate any familial interference and OTT happiness. At first, it is just a FWB situationship with each of them unwilling to admit feelings for the other. But as stealthy as they think they are, everyone knows or at least suspects that they are dating and pretend they don't know.

At traumatic event brings them all together at the hospital, and there is where Dakota and Molly really lean on each other as a couple and are now willing to share their news with the family. As expected, everyone is extremely about them as they are equally loved by the other one's family.

If you like the following, this book is for you:
Small Town
FWB to lovers
Close Knit Family
No OW/OM drama.

Dakota is a Fish and Wildlife Officer in the small town of Laurel Springs. For the past few months, he’s secretly been in a “friends with benefits" arrangement with his best friend’s sister Molly. As time passes, both have come to the conclusion they want more as a couple and share mutual feelings. Laurel Springs is a close-knit community with a lot of interconnected relationships. Because of this, they are still reluctant to let anyone know until they are sure of their feelings. Unbeknown to them, those closest to the couple have seen the attraction between them and already suspect. A traumatic situation finally puts things in perspective for the couple as they lean on each other and together find strength. Fans of the Laurel Springs series will enjoy this book but if you are new to the author, you can easily follow the story without reading the series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

This is the story of Dakota and Molly. Dakota has known Molly the longest time. She is his best friend's older sister. There is no denying that these two have been attracted to each other. But, because of the situation they have never acted on it. But, one night changes everything between them. Now they are in a friends with benefits situation that they decide to keep secret. However, Dakota would be out in the open with their relationship for the world to see. But Molly is scared for them to be out in the open. She is scared that once everyone finds out; nothing will ever be the same. That's about all I can say. I think that you need to discover all that happens in this small town romance for yourself. I really enjoyed reading this book. You will be laughing out loud and swooning at other times.

This small-town brother’s best friend romance had some enjoyable moments, especially with the friends-with-benefits-to-lovers setup, but overall I wasn’t fully convinced by the romance. At times, the male main character came across as somewhat patronizing, and some of the assumptions and decisions in the story felt overly narrow or unrealistic to me.
The relationship development also felt uneven in places, as though the female main character had emotionally moved further ahead long before certain moments in the story acknowledged it. The reason for keeping things secret from their families also didn’t completely work for me. Overall, it was an okay read with some good ideas, but the romance itself never fully clicked for me.

Dakota is love finding its way, slowly and on its own timeline. There’s something beautiful in how Dakota and Molly fully acknowledge their attraction and interest in each other from the start.

Their relationship builds in a sweet, steady way, layered with a simmering heat that grows even as things remain undefined. It feels natural, unforced, and real.

Their families bring banter and laughter, adding warmth as they navigate these new emotions and uncertain territory. There’s no pretence between them, just a quiet acceptance of what’s growing, and a willingness to embrace it despite their fears.

When hard times hit, love and family come together even stronger, showing resilience and heart.

A truly beautiful story.

Dakota is a fish and wildlife officer with his best friend Levi. He’s been folded into the Harrison family since he was a young boy. But Dakota is secretly seeing Molly, Levi’s older sister. The two navigate what started as a friends with benefits to something deeper while also dealing with friends and family and work. Molly is reluctant at first to admit that what she has with Dakota isn’t just fwb. Though more people are starting to notice things between them. Lucy, Dakota’s little sister, is perhaps their biggest cheerleader. But when Molly’s father gets into a work-related accident both have to face their feelings and come out to their friends and family.

I love Laramie’s storytelling. The books read pretty easy and flow just right.

Another steamy hit and fantastic read! Dakota and Molly have known each other forever because Dakota is Levi’s (Molly's brother) best friend. Their relationship started as physical but their attraction was too strong to keep it from becoming more. However they try to keep it quiet from family and friends because they want to see where things are going but their mom’s can’t be fooled and they eventually have to come clean that they are together. They are a fantastic match and even though Molly didn't want to date anyone in law enforcement, she can’t help being in love with Dakota. He is there for her whenever she needs him and they compliment each other incredibly well. Hot and steamy physical interactions and heartwarming care and love for each other.

Laramie! I’m ugly crying !! This story is beautiful! First I was ugly crying because sometimes nursing is really, really hard. Other times I was crying because of how Dakota loves Molly.

This is the second story in the Fish and Wildlife series, and it is a good one! Dakota and Molly have known each other basically their whole lives. They hid their relationship for about six months because small towns: they wanted to figure out what they were to each other without anyone else’s opinion, which seems fair.

Watching their relationship grow and change despite tragedy was heartwarming. I recommend this book for anyone who loves childhood friends to lovers, first responders, and small town romance!

I received this as an ARC and I’m leaving an honest review.

well you thought book one of fish and wild life was hot * yes i know laurel springs only creates hot guys with sassy women.... * your in for a ride here.

shes is his best friends sister but from the time he was a teen she had his attention. but about six months back something changed and they were in thier own secret bubble. that is till they both realized they have true feelings for each other.

she's grown up with men and women in uniform around her swore she would never date or be with one because of that. though for some reason knowingbthis and going into to this with wide eyes she found her person.

now saying all this yes theres some drama whats a good story with out it. but I won't ruin the book you need to grab this one and read it. I can't wait for the next one

I received this ARC from the author Laramie Briscoe. I loved Levi’s book and didn’t think anyone could beat him in the book boyfriend category but Dakota did. I LOVE Dakota and Molly and how they are there for each other especially when she has a bad day at work or he thinks that he doesn’t deserve her. I love how they are trying to keep it secret that they are seeing each other which is the worst case secret cause their family knows and doesn’t care. I will say have your tissues ready for the chapter from Caleb’s point of view, that chapter had me sitting on the edge of my seat and holding my breath. I gave this book 5 stars ⭐️ cause I could not put it down and read it in one day and I HIGHLY Recommend it. Now bring on Darren

I have been patiently (not so patiently) waiting for the second book in the Laurel Springs Fish and Wildlife Series Dakota to arrive and Laramie did not disappoint! Was I yelling at my device for Molly and Dakota to just get over themselves and go public already? Of course I was! But you can't rush perfection, or the characters. But was it fun watching them sneak around behind everyone's back leaving breadcrumbs while thinking no one knew what they were up? Absolutely! I do understand wanting to keep the relationship to themselves to an extent but I do think 6 months was a bit much but that's just me.
Once again this book has everything small town super spicy friends to lovers and amazing characters you can't help but fall in love with. I simply can't wait for the next book!

Another great book by Laramie Briscoe in this wonderful series.
Molly Harrison is the eldest daughter of Caleb and Ruby Harrison, and Dakota Keller is her younger brother’s best friend.
Dakota started developing feelings for Molly when he was still a teenager, but she swore she’d never get involved with anyone in uniform.
When they do get involved, they don’t tell anyone they’re seeing each other and keep it that way for a while, until friends and family start to get suspicious.
Their relationship is really sweet, and Dakota is in it for the long haul, he really wants a serious relationship with Molly. I loved how Dakota was always there to support Molly and be there for her when she needed it.
I loved the story and the characters. I highly recommend reading it.

I really enjoyed reading Dakota. The plot, romance, main and secondary characters were done well. Dakota and Molly had chemistry from the start and a connection that had been built over time and this innate trust in one another. Whilst they wanted to keep the relationship to themselves you could also see how serious they were feelings wise. Laramie Briscoe does such a good job of balancing the romance, spice and that little bit of action that you fall in love with the characters and the plot. I loved seeing Levi and Magnolia from book 1 and the rest of the secondary characters. I’m excited to read book 3 of this series.
