Engulfed was funny and it was crazy! Theo is hilarious. Now for Blaze and Ashlyn it was wild. You would never guess but you will have to find out by reading this book. D.M. Spina you did great! So funny!

Theo is the real MMC
OMG this book. Me and my dear friend read this together. The banter in this book was so us. It's a beautiful mix of pain,loss,laughter,tears and everything in between. This is one book I can say I will read again and again

OMG THAT ENDING
I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that Engulfed took me on. From the very first page, D.M. Spina pulls you into a story filled with tension, emotion, and moments that had me completely invested in the characters.
The plot kept me hooked, the emotions felt real, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, that ending came crashing in and left me staring at my wall trying to process what I had just read. 😭
My heart broke, healed a little, and then broke all over again. The characters stayed with me long after I turned the last page, and I already know this book will be living rent-free in my head for a while.
If you love stories that make you feel everything and leave you speechless by the end, then Engulfed is one you need to add to your TBR.
That ending though… D.M. Spina, we need to talk. 😭😳

This book utterly consumed me and then destroyed me. The flame slowly burned, came into an inferno, and then was completely snuffed out and left me speechless.
If you're looking for a book that is different than everything else you have been reading-THIS. IS. IT!!! Do NOT sleep on this book!!
I finished this book over a week ago and still can't get it out of my mind. You have a morally grey FMC (Ashlyn) and a golden retriever MMC (Blake aka Blaze). He is a firefighter; she is an arsonist. He falls first. There is tension, angst, suspense, mystery, humor, and a delicious slow burn between them. The writing is phenomenal; the story sucks you in from the first page and does not let you go. Theo, aka Gizmo, is the best friend of Blake who has no filter and brings the unhinged humor to a serious story. I can not wait for Theo to have his own book. But Blake and Ashlyn live rent free in my mind. Five stars plus for this book. I can not say enough about it.....I don't want to give anything away. You will have to read it for yourself and find out. And be blown away just like I was. You're welcome.

I have so much I could say but sum it up with READ IT!! This book DESTROYED me. some books tug at my heart, get me emotional......D.M. made me ugly cry. Like I bawled to where my husband asked if I was okay....NO I most definitely was not okay. Without a doubt one of my top reads of 2026 if not the #1 read of 2026 for me.
Ashlyn lost her parents in a warehouse fire when she was young and is out for revenge. Blake a firefighter who has never lost a life. 1 fire that tangled them up in a beautiful story of being seen and wanting your person.
Also side note Blakes bestie Theo is literally my spirit character. He is so full of life banter and pushes Blake to take chances.

Alright, this was cruel and unusual punishment yet somehow still beautiful. You know from the start they’re on borrowed time. Ashlyn has been surviving on revenge since her parents died in a building fire. When Blake enters her life, he’s searching for a love that finally feels whole even if it costs him everything.
Their connection walks a dangerous line between intense, tragic, and impossible to ignore. The ending wrecked me. Brutal, heartbreaking and all consuming.
I was lucky to be given an ARC copy of the book by the author!

I was fortunate enough to read this as a beta reader. The book consumed me all the good ways! Our FMC, Ashlyn, is morally grey but you cheer for the whole time despite knowing her crimes. The main MMC, Blake, is so good for her, you root for them throughout! The best friend, Theo, is that bit of comic relief you need and also someone who I was left wanting to hug at the end of this book. Every part of the story was captivating and left you wanting more!

What starts off strong pulls you deep into her pain, her revenge, and her reckoning...and listen… I was NOT prepared for where this story went.
No spoilers. Just know it’s worth the read.
But when your feelings get wrecked later?
Yeah… blame Theo.

I got this book from the author herself a few months ago as an ARC reader and I devoured this book!
It was funny, the story itself is great and the main characters are the best! Even Theo our favorite “side” character made a big impact on the story!
Blaze & Ash’s story is amazing & the ending was cruel but perfectly wrapped the story up perfectly!

This book has everything! Action, secrets, spice, and a love the burns. The main characters will draw you in and you find yourself lost in them. Even the side characters, Theo, are so well developed that you will fall in love. It will ruin your love of some favorite foods in the best way possible. And the ending....have tissues ready.

So hate how this ends but love the story through it. Makes me want more. I hate how they end up but love how they got together. Keep me wanting more through out this book like crazy.

This book makes you have to choose right or wrong. We have all wanted to make a wrong right, but how far will you go and if you take revenge is it right or wrong. And then add love true love do you tell your darkest secrets. Read this book and let everyone know how you feel after. I love love.

Engulfed has to be one of my favorite 2026 reads. There was laughter, heart break, twist and turns, that will have your emotions all over the place. This is A fire fighter and arsonist love story. he falls head over heels for her not knowing she was the one behind a series of fires. lets just say that the end completely broke me, I cried my eyes out. if you have not picked up Engulfed, do yourself a favor and read it. PS the SPICE be spicing...
