A super fun read dealing with all the right things. There's so many hints and clues to piece the puzzle together that makes reading this a must to see the outcome. It's one of those reads that encourages you to examine every piece.
Plus the dynamic of our friend trio is great. All the twists and turns they encounter are really wild.
Sure this book is set around spooky season/October but it would make for a great read anytime honestly especially for the the nature lovers.
Excellent debut.

A great debut and a fun mystery that will delight YA readers looking for something to keep them on their toes as they follow along with the 3 main characters.

February 2, 2026I'm so excited to finally share this story with everyone! Benjamin, Kathryn and Delaney were such fun characters to write. I hope you enjoy the mysterious, and surreal ride. It's definitely chaotic! Just remember you've Delaney right there to keep you on track with her truth-telling :) Haha!

The Lost Ones is a young adult supernatural novel and a character-driven mystery that follows three best friends racing to uncover their town’s surreal and unsettling history before Halloween—before a sinister fate catches up to them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. From the very beginning, I felt pulled into the mystery of Ravenfell and found myself just as determined as the characters to figure out what was really going on. Even when I had to put the book down to return to real life, my mind stayed in the story—I kept turning over clues, forming theories, and wondering what would happen next.
My absolute favorite character was Delaney. She’s quirky, lovable, genuinely funny, and completely badass when it counts. She brought so much heart and personality to the story that I found myself especially invested in her journey.
I’m already looking forward to book two and discovering what’s next for these characters and the secrets still waiting in Ravenfell.
