Three times best selling author Dawn Robertson was born and raised in Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 2013. The same year first novel, Hers debuted as an Amazon Best Seller. Replicating that success with two additional novels in the following years.

The Indie publishing world has grown to love her raw writing style depicting strong
women in real life situations, topping the charts in erotica, romance, and romance-suspense. Robertson has even insinuated that the female characters in her book mirror her real life. But, that I'll leave to speculation.

When Dawn Robertson is not writing she is a full-time Real Estate professional in Florida, and mother of three amazing children.

When I finished Volume One, I couldn't wait to read the next one to find out what happened. Though, once I got the second volume, I didn't start it right away like I thought I would. With what happened in the last book, I was worried about what would happen to her in this book with her boss. I wanted to read it but I figured it would just piss me off if I did. When I finally starting reading it though, I couldn't stop. After reading it, I wondering why the heck I waited so long! Things I thought were going to happen didn't, and it had a better turn of events than I thought it would.

In this volume, Madeline has to face the repercussions of her decisions she made in Volume One. Some new information comes to light about her pervy boss that just might help her get away from him, but at what cost? Madeline and Brian's relationship is still going well, but will the secrets she is keeping from him tear them apart?

Brian was great in this book. He reveals some things to Madeline about his sexual desires and it just makes him hotter. He takes care of her and is great with her kids! What more could she want? When it's time to meet his kids some surprises are revealed and it definitely shocked me! That ending was just WOW. It definitely made me want the next book in my hands right away and I won't be waiting to read it this time. ~ Leah, 4.5 stars

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

I'm done.

Two decisions.
That’s all it took for Madeline Alexander “Maddie” to have something equally good and equally bad come into her life. The good- Brian, the sweet widower with a hidden kinky side. The bad- Joseph Roberts, her boss who’s blackmailing her. On a precarious edge with the threat of both decisions over-lapping what will Maddie do next?

Maddie’s life is a mess. She’s still a little down on her luck as she was in Volume one but in this one she grows some hella lady balls. She’s never going to let a man run her again! Maddie takes her life into her own hands and I couldn’t help but cheer her on all of the way!

Although each installment is short, the writing is superb. The action, revelations, and drama are all paced perfectly. There isn’t a dull moment at all- whether she’s winding down after a long day at work, dealing with ex-husband drama, or just having a few drinks with a girlfriend Maddie kept my attention from start to finish.

Just as some of the drama began to ebb away and I thought everything was being tidied up the author drops one serious twist on us! I didn’t see it coming and WHOA! I couldn’t believe what happened at the end!

I desperately want the final volume so I can see what Maddie does next!
5 stars xx - Read my review of Volume One.

Wow i was not expecting that ending, hurry up Vol 3 !
You must read Book 1 first.

Book 2 picks up right from where book 1 ended. Madeline starts her new job which she has been blackmailed into by Joseph, she is worried that it is going to destroy her new relationship with Brian, the best thing that has ever happened to her since her messy divorce with Drew. The secrets she is harbouring from Brian are dragging her down but will she have the courage to share them ? Brian is a very dominating man, in more ways than one ! and his mood swings are unsettling Madeline. And when you reach the end twist it all comes together WOWZA ! I am loving this series by Dawn Robertson, she has done a brilliant job of bringing all these characters together in such a fantastic way, they all work so well, the plot is brilliant and the twist are jaw dropping. I couldt put these books down once i started, i would 100% recommend such a brilliant 5 hooked stars.

5 “Now you are mine” stars!!

And the plot thickens!!! In this installment we are made to believe that life will finally calm down for Madeline, and hopefully return to normal. UNTIL that ending. Wow, I never expected that one! Bravo to this author for totally blow me away. But, now I am sad for Madeline :( 

“What has my life become?”

I bet after that opening paragraph you are anxious to know what happens, right?!? And you should be!! From the very beginning of this series I was hooked. And then when I got the chance to read part 2, I was thrilled. Short novellas with just the right amount of info are hard to find, and these have just enough to give me what I need.

“Shit. This grave I am digging just keeps getting deeper and deeper, and I am not even trying to get out of it anymore.”

So, the drama continues for Madeline. Secrets are revealed, truths will come out, and people will change. Throughout part 1 I was all “go Brian,” but in part 2, Brian has made me nervous. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but something seems a little off with him. I guess we will see how it all plays out in the 3rd part, which I am eagerly awaiting now, after that ending.

Will Madeline really get a happily ever after?!? After the way this one ended, I am a tad bit worried. Readers, if you haven’t started this series, get to it!! It’s a good one and comes highly recommended by me :)

Wowza! Talk about a plot twist! I loved The Job #1 and this one was even better. Although I know some fictional men who need a serious ass kicking. Now to sit patiently and wait for #3 to release to read the conclusion of Madeline's messy life.

Darn it

I have to warn people that if you don't like lying...you won't like this book. Volume 1 I loved. It was great with its twists and turns. But 2...the last few pages gutted me. Seriously gutted me. So I can't honestly give it an awesome rating. But if lying doesn't matter...it's good.

I am in love with Dawn Robertson’s serial series, The Job… I have never been a huge lover of serials to be honest, but that is because sometimes they feel rushed and shorted. But the way Dawn is bringing this story to life is definitely 5 star worthy and I highly recommend them.

In volume two of The Job, Madeline is starting her new job with Joseph Roberts the slim ball lawyer that blackmailed her into working for him. As things are getting more serious with Mr. Wonderful aka Brian, it seems like she is in over her head with everything she is dealing with. Brian is ready to take things to the next level but she seems a little hesitant with his dominate nature, especially with her being such a strong independent woman. When the bombs begin to drop on Madeline, she takes it all in stride and handles her business like a BOSS! This totally made her character for me. I kind of have a girl crush on Madeline’s; she has the backbone that all women should strive for.

Get ready for a lot of twists, turns, and surprises in book two that will have you saying “OMG” and have you itching for more. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out for Madeline and Brian.

***NOTE – You need to read Vol. One before reading Vol. 2 – this is a continuing story. ;)

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - Not my favorite Dawn Robertson series, didn't catch my interest enough, not enough filthy bedroom action. Madeline has starting dating the older handsome doctor Brian, hiding the fact that her new boss is blackmailing her. The story doesn't sugar coat the fact that Madeline & Brian are newly dating & they are working through personal & sexual differences. Brian is very dominant & had that kind of relationship with his former wife. Madeline enjoys some of the kink but she definitely isn't a true submissive woman. But she appreciates the way her kids snap to attention when Brian speaks, & it earns Brian points with her. It was unbelievable though that their relationship moved forward so quickly but Brian is an alpha male. In the end their pasts collide but that isn't the rough part. The hardest part for Madeline to swallow is that she is serious about being with Brian & all the while Brian has kept some major secrets from her. I liked how Madeline spilled the beans & shared her troubles with Brian, it had to be difficult. Brian learned about the blackmail & about Madeline's troubled past. She was forthright with him & earned his trust. Now Brian just lost Madeline's trust & that will be very bad for this new couple.

The Job: Volume 2 (Job #2)
By: Dawn Robertson
5/5 stars

At the end of the first volume, Maddie had just gotten blackmailed into taking a job as a personal assistant for a lawyer. Not seeing any other way out, she took the job. She doesn’t know how she can get out of the job without ruining her life. She believes that if she tells Brian, the connection of who her boss is & the blackmail that he will dump her. She also can’t tell her friend Cindy, because she never told her about the Craigslist ad.

I was glad that Dawn didn’t draw out the blackmail drama throughout this entire novella. That was one thing that I was a little concerned about after the cliffhanger of the first volume. There was angst but it wasn’t OTT.

There were twists, one I didn’t see coming, but the other I figured since the scene in the first book!! But even so, the angst is still there.

I’m hoping that the final volume will be about twice as long & will start exactly where this one left off and in Brian’s POV. I think Charles’ reaction will be freaking AWESOME!! Yes, this novella also ends on a cliffhanger, but the third & final installment is to be released in about 3 weeks.

Well Dawn Robertson does not disappoint with The Job Volume 2. The story picks up right where the first one stops. Madeline Alexander, mother of three and recently divorced, has gotten her self in a situation where she is being blackmailed. Madeline had posted an ad on Craigslist to make some money, and had a run in with a man she hoped she would never see again. She went to get a job.The man she met on Craigslist starts blackmailing her in to taking the job.
Through the Craigslist ad she also meet a wonderful man, Brian. Madeline and Brian start spending more time together and he wants to show her his dominating side. Madeline now has to decide if she can handle that.
This is a great read and easy to get swept away in. You have to read The Job Volume 1 first. But it is a must read.

Wow the book totally went in a different direction in what I was thinking!!! Through out the book I was kind of getting bored but I think it was because it didn't go in the direction I was thinking of but at the end I was so pissed off at the men in her life. My heard broke for her and I stayed up all night trying to figure out what possible reason Brian could of had for lying to her about Drew and his daughter!! I could see Drew doing that because he's a DICK. It seems like the sleazy lawyer was the most honest with her.. I want her to move and not tell any of the ass faces where she is at!!!

Well, we were left severely hanging, at the end of The Job Volume One, wanting more and that is exactly what you will get in Volume 2.

Finally, Maddie is getting her life back in some kind of order...she did make some decisions that basically could caused her to lose a lot and put herself in bad situations. Out of those decisions she found Brian, a man that turned her around, making her feel loved again. This is a new start.
Oh then BOOM things just get crazy! Wow never would have expected and didn't see that coming. *NO SPOILERS!!*
How will Maddie handle this, will she survive it?
This is another great sit on edge of your seat book from Dawn Robertson. Looking forward to Volume 3!!

I love this series. Maddie always seems to find herself in trouble. This ones takes off right where book 1 ended with Maddie being blackmailed by her new boss. She really seems to have enough of men running her life she just takes charge. Things finally start to slow down and fall into place when her life takes a hard trun in The wrong direction. Can't wait to have book 3. Dawn Robertson has done it again! It will keep you on the edge of your seat!!!

omg, I never saw that coming!

I absolutely love Madeline's character. Sure, she's made some crappy decisions based on a crappy situation, but she was a desperate mom trying to keep her family together. I'm not sure how I feel about Brian. What happened at the end is all kinds of wrong..like WTF? And Drew. He's a complete douchebag. Madeline should be glad she's rid of him.
