First and foremost, I would like to welcome Warren Barns, back to the “Horror Community”, after taking a break. For me, the world of horror, didn’t know what it was missing.
I recently read Warren’s comeback novel Feeder, which was an instant 5 ⭐️
When I saw that this was being released, I couldn’t wait to read it. I’m not really one for collections or anthologies, but as I’d previously read one of the stories, “Whore”, a few years ago, which was another 5 ⭐️, I couldn’t wait to read this, and I was NOT disappointed…
Severed
Seth wakes one morning in a drink and drug fuelled haze, having no recollection of the previous night. He’s in a bathtub full of ice, and when he attempts to get out, he’s incapacitated with the most horrendous pain…he has been castrated. He finds a phone in a corner of the room with a mysterious text message to him…Hi Seth. Text me back when ur awake xo…
This is an extreme psychological horror with gratuitous violence, so be warned.

Headhunter
Corporate headhunter Adam is in Prague on a business trip, when he meets the beautiful Iva and her boyfriend Martin. They all head up to his hotel room for a night of fun, but halfway through, things take a sinister turn, and Adam finds himself waking the next morning, naked and hog tied to an operating table, in a filthy room, and has no idea the kind of horrendous pain, he’s about to encounter.
This is an extreme horror, which has every kind of trigger warning, including human and animal cruelty (the latter, breaking my heart 😢). Serious “Hostel” vibes.

Whore
An extreme supernatural horror, which is very brutal, but so good.
Emily, a sex worker, is one night dragged into an alleyway and attacked by 2 meth heads, who do the most brutal, violent and depraved acts, which nobody could ever hope to survive, but miraculously, Emily does…

Skeletons
Student doctor Jordan, visits with his grandfather Jacob, who is in the last throes of death, when he confesses to a story during childhood. What Jordan doesn’t realise, is that there is a lot more to this story, than Jacob admits to…
The ending is a real shocker.
5 ⭐️
I ate all of these stories up and loved each and every one. Highly recommend to all who love extreme, splatterpunk, gratuitous violence, and are far from squeamish, coz believe me, when I warn you of MANY triggers.

Really liked this horror collection! It was angsty, gore and all that kinds of stuff! I really recommend if you have a good stomach.
