First in series but a good collection.
I used to love these collections but lately it seems that every time I check one out its the same collection of authors and the same books just a different title and a different cover so I've become a little jaded and I must admit when I initially saw this collection I thought 'here we go again' but as I actually looked it clearly stated that it contained 'first in series' plus several of these are available on kindle unlimited like for example 'Unauthorised' 'The Escort' 'The Banshee's Embrace' 'Reckless' and 'Bermuda Nights' and you might be thinking that doesn't help you if you don't have unlimited but there's always the 30 day free trial which is what I'm doing at the moment so while yes, this is a collection of cliffhangers it clearly states that.

I was given a copy of Oceans Apart 1 by Amanda Heartley for the sole purposeof an honest review. I will adjust my review as I continue to read the additional stories.
Virginia, or Ginny as she goes by, has had a rough few months. After a bad break-up, she's just not eager to jump back into the dating ring. Her best friend, Kari, tries to get her out of the doldrums by getting her to go clubbing with her every week. And although she's having fun with her friend, she's not interested in any men. That all changes the night she meets Tristan. A British hunk of a man and oooh that accent! Ginny swoons over him and the attraction is mutual. After spending some time together they realize they want to talk more. The only problem is he's in the US on business and lives in England! How can they connect being oh so far away? The Internet is an amazing invention! They embark on an unorthodox relationship via computer and texting. The things this man says to Ginny are just panty- melting and I loved it! Tristan realizes he wants more and is trying to figure out how to work it all out. Plus he wants to protect her from a creepy past flame trying to reconnect. He can't do that very well in London now can he. What to do, what to do?? I really enjoyed this first book in the series! I didn't want to put it down. The relationship building was great- not instant and not too slow. You could feel their attraction building and could totally relate to the predicament of being a half a world away from each other. Should we try it? Long distance relationships just stink so is it worth it? After a few months talking and texting, yes its worth it! There is a bit of a cliff at the end of this book so be forewarned. It's not overly bad but definitely makes me want to read the next book in the series now!

This anthology had some really good stories and some flops. A couple of the authors like Alice Ward, Ophelia Sikes, Lisa Ladew, Victoria Richards, and Leslie Johnson had series that I'd like to continue reading. Overall worth reading to get an idea if these series are ones you'd like to continue. Took a little longer to get into some of the stories but liked the characters and some of the paranormal aspects in some of them.

I have read Oceans Apart and loved it. Can't wait to read the rest of these. This is going to be a great boxed set and has some awesome authors too. Grab your copy and enjoy the first in a series .

Phew...What can I say other that the fact that all the novels in this box set are mind-blowing....Thumbs up to all the authors, just amazing.
