Murphy Everyone around me had found their forever… everyone except me. I wanted the world for my best friends, but that didn’t stop the flicker of jealousy that came with being the only one still searching. But when my oldest friend ends up at the same event I’m at, and forgets she hates me, one night with her guard down is all it takes to know she’s everything I’ve ever been looking for. Maybe she always has been. Our past is complicated, though, and she was justified in harboring her feelings for so long. Yet despite our history, whatever’s reignited between us is too powerful, too undeniable to let go of without a fight. Although she has a laundry list of objections, I’m determined to prove that we make sense together, no matter the cost.
Juliette I was exactly where I wanted to be; owning who I was, keeping my circle tight, thriving in my career, and enjoying every ounce that life had to offer, all while moving from one casual fling to the next. That woman didn’t come without scars, though. When the one person I had trusted most broke me, indifference became my armor and confidence my crutch. For the first five years, I hated Murphy Gannon, and for the subsequent five, he wasn’t worth my thoughts. After I take steps to release the grudge I’ve carried for too long, one unexpected reunion is all it takes to remember every dangerously familiar reason I’d ever loved him all those years ago. But my hurts run deep, and I’m not sure I could ever open my heart again to anyone. Especially not to the man who destroyed me. No matter how tempting he may be.
Kelly has been obsessed with words since she learned to read-poems, lyrics, magnetic poetry, cutting out words for collages, writing down favorite phrases. As for obsessed with love? Probably longer.
These days, you can find her hoarding all the good pens while writing contemporary romance novels full of heartfelt emotion, epic banter, spicy spice, and laugh-out-loud moments with characters you fall for and plots you get lost in.
And happily ever afters. Always happily ever afters.
When she's not writing, she's collecting moments with her four kids and husband, taking photos, dreaming of seeing the world, loving her 80 pound pitty bull, seeking new, fun experiences, or dancing to late 90s/early 2000s songs. Spoiler Alert: She can no longer Get Low.
I have been following this series from the very first book, and I can say what a wonderful series and what a series ending. Juliette's and Murphy’s story deserves all the praise. The story had highs and lows for the buildup. There were some loose ends, but I still enjoyed the story. Though I wish Maeve had her ending too. The way all the characters from the other books carried the story forward. This book has overlap with all the other books; you kind of enjoy it more. Talking of story, Murphy has been friends since the age of 5, but along the way, their friendship soured. Ten years have passed, though Juliette has come a long way. With the help of friends and therapy, she has understood all was not Murphy's fault, but he has helped her shape the way she is. Stars seem to align when Murphy and Juliette arrive at the same masquerade party. Though in Mask, one look at Juliette's birthmark, Murphy recognizes it's her Juju (Juliette). This party started a conversation between them. It’s a ride that Murphy and Juliette take on. Worth the time.
this wasnone of those healing beautifully written love stories that will stay with you ... so much hurt and comfort mixed in this love that had me feeling all the emotions... such a great wrap up to the series
I loved this book! It’s a romance with spice, complicated feelings, healing, and it was amazing. I was rooting for their relationship the whole time, I loved seeing it develop and change throughout. Now, I need to go back and read the other books of this interconnected, standalone series. Highly recommend this!
✨ ARC Review - A Little Bit Undone by Kelly O'Reilly ✨
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars) 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (4/5 spice)
Tropes: - Small Town setting - Childhood Neighbors - Second Chance Romance - Reformed Playgirl - Enemies-to-Lovers - No Strings Attached - All Grown-up - Instalust - He falls first - Parallel Timeline - Found Family - Healing Journey - Happily Ever After!
This is the final book in the A Little Bit series. I've loved visiting Savannah Springs since book 1, so it's bittersweet knowing that all of this is coming to an end.
A Little Bit Undone is a beautiful farewell to the series. It has the most angst, drama, and feels of all the books. There was a lot of ugly crying (by me).
"You can’t hold out for someone who won’t even acknowledge your existence." - Murphy
Undone goes through the history of Murphy and Juliette's relationship through the years. They started off as childhood next door neighbors. Murphy's family was Jules' safe place when things weren't going well at home...
Fast forward to a few years later, they're in high school, and some big things happened that would affect the next 10 years of their lives.
"One of my deepest fears was ending up like my mother, so I relentlessly worked to avoid any comparison to her." -Juliette
Now they're back in the same orbit - the friend group has noticed that something has changed between the two. They have fallen into a "not dating" relationship because Jules feels too broken to commit. However, she has been in therapy, working on healing. But even with that - all of their history makes it difficult to let him back in her heart.
What I Loved: - This was very emotional - incredibly angsty. I ugly cried many times. And then I had to finish the book because I wanted to get past that. - There is also a parallel timeline that runs with the rest of the books in the series. You can see what Murphy and Jules were going through at the same time as the other protagonists in their books. - Jules' healing journey is realistic and powerful. She's doing the work (therapy, self-defense, setting boundaries) while still struggling with feeling broken. Watching her growth, realizing that she’s worthy of being loved, and that she is strong enough to drop her shield - despite everything she's been through - was beautiful. - The emotional payoff at the end and how it forces everything into perspective. There was closure with some storylines and it definitely helped with the healing. - Full-circle moment: He told her as a kid he was going to marry her, and he meant it. 😭
This series gave everyone their happy endings, and I'm so grateful I got to experience it. Kelly O'Reilly - thank you for this beautiful finale. 😭💙
Many thanks to the author and Happily Booked for the ARC; opinions are completely my own. 💜
Juju and Murphy have always shared a deep, undeniable connection, but bad decisions and unresolved pain pulled them apart and complicated everything. From childhood best friends, to a one-night stand, to enemies, to indifference, to acquaintances with benefits, their journey is messy, emotional, and painfully real.
I loved Juliette. Her upbringing was anything but easy, yet she built a successful life for herself. She is ambitious, career-driven, a loyal friend, and fully embraces her independence, including her sexuality. The only two things she avoids at all costs are relationships and Murphy Gannon, the ex-best friend who shattered her heart as a teenager. But when an unexpected event brings them back into each other’s lives ten years later, the attraction they once shared comes back stronger than ever. What starts as a situationship feels destined to leave one of them broken.
Murphy has always loved Juju, or at least he told himself he did. He convinced himself it was just friendship, nothing more, nothing complicated. But when they reconnect years later, he can no longer ignore the truth. What he feels for her has never been simple, and it has definitely never been just friendly. The more time they spend together, the more he realizes that what he buried all those years ago was something much deeper. He falls first, and he falls hard, convinced that if he is patient enough, she might let herself fall too. But can someone who has spent years guarding her heart against pain ever open it again to the boy who once broke it?
This story feels incredibly real. Juju and Murphy are flawed. They make mistakes. They hurt each other. They avoid hard conversations. And that is exactly why their story resonates so deeply. Kelly created characters who feel human, not perfect, and that makes their healing journey even more powerful.
I am sad the series is over, but this felt like the right way to end it. There is so much healing in this book. Therapy plays an important role, and it beautifully shows that healing is not linear. It is uncomfortable, messy, and sometimes painful, but if you commit to it, the sun does shine again.
If you love found family, second chances, childhood friends to strangers to lovers, and deeply emotional healing journeys, this one is absolutely for you.
Thank you so much to Kelly and Happily Booked for this great eARC!
Y’all… I am not okay knowing this was the last book in the series. I’m genuinely so sad to say goodbye to a world that has felt like home from the very first page. This series gave us love, unwavering support, and the kind of friendships that feel rare and sacred. The found family element wasn’t just written it was felt. These are the kinds of friendships you wish we all could experience at least once in our lives.
From the minute I started this series, Juliette had my heart. I adore all the girls, but there was just something about her — her strength, her vulnerability, her quiet resilience — that always drew me in. So finally seeing her get the happily ever after she deserved? It was everything. It felt earned, intentional, and so deeply satisfying.
And can we talk about the men in this series for a second? Absolute perfection. The standard has been raised impossibly high. Where exactly can I find a Sir Donovan, a Bennett, or a Murphy in real life? Because I am looking. Murphy and Juliette’s story was worth every second of the wait. Their journey felt layered, emotional, and beautifully developed. The chemistry? Undeniable. The history between them? Heart-achingly tender. It truly felt like the perfect way to close out the series.
What makes this book stand out even more is how relatable Juliette’s story is. There’s an authenticity to her struggles and growth that makes you see pieces of yourself in her. That emotional connection makes the payoff even sweeter.
Kelly O’Reilly absolutely outdid herself. Her writing continues to grow stronger with each book, and the way she immerses you in the story is something special. You don’t just read her books you live in them. She has a gift for making you feel like you’re not just observing the characters’ journey, but walking alongside them every step of the way. Ending a beloved series is never easy, but she handled it with so much care, heart, and intention.
This story was beautiful. Heartfelt. Bittersweet in the best way.
If you love found family, second chances, childhood friends to lovers, and emotionally rich romance that stays with you long after you turn the last page this is an absolute must read. And this entire series? Forever one I’ll recommend.
Happy Release Day to A Little Bit Undone By @kellyoreillyauthor Now I read this immediately when it reached my inbox but since I fall on the more “spoiler-ish” edit and review side, I held onto my review and edit until today! But know this one has been read and loved since ARC release day! Now to Savannah Springs… Juliette “Juju” Hadley has been loved by Murphy “Murph” Gannon since he first saw her as his next door neighbor when they were kids.Murph and Juju were inseparable and Murphy’s mom rescued Juliette when her mother succumbed to drugs and rough male friends. Juliette went to live with her Dad and when Murphy and his family moved too- they began there friendship right back in Savannah Springs, and Murphy found Bennett (“freaking”Connelly and reunited with his long lost twin too!) After sharing her first with Murphy, during his senior year-he bolted, stupid boy 🫠 (He makes up for this huge mistake, don’t worry…) Flash forward to the present, Murphy and Jules end up at Covet together and her hate for him starts to melt, along with her resolve to resist finding him so dang attractive… He has always been there for her, until he wasn’t and she’s hated him for the past ten years… Can these two who once were friends to more, change back to more… Murph the MAN puts in all the work to break down Jules walls and he’s determined with his fancy fruits he can convince her to date him! After all “when she was seven and I was nine, I told her I was going to marry her.” Let’s see if Jules goes along with Murphy’s dating plan or will she just want to stay hook up buddies and enjoy the fruits of Murphys labor!
@kellyoreillyauthor I mean BRAVO with the finishing of the Little Bit series. My trips to Savannah Springs are tops in my heart and shelves. I’ve adored each and every character, flooded your inbox and tagged you in an obsessive amount of comments and posts- but I love you!!! And all these beautifully written books ! 📚 Please, please, please revisit Savannah Springs for an update after finishing your next series, pretty pretty please with a cherry on top 🍒 A Little Bit Undone is out today on KU Love you, mean it with a she shed and ring on top 💍
Juliette is a sunshine character with some very dark places hidden beneath the surface. She’s strong, successful, and seemingly put together, but the walls she’s built around her heart are incredibly high.
Murphy, on the other hand, is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero. As a teenager, he made a mistake that still follows him, but at his core, he is protective, loyal, and completely devoted to Juliette. They’ve known each other since childhood, and Murphy has always loved her.
After ten years apart, and with Juliette still carrying a lot of anger toward him, they unexpectedly reconnect at a masked ball. From that moment, the tension, history, and emotions between them are impossible to ignore.
Juliette insists on keeping their relationship a secret. What starts as a friends-with-benefits situation comes with strict rules: no dating and no public displays of affection. But when two people have loved each other for so long, feelings can’t stay hidden, even when they try.
Kelly O’Reilly wrote these characters so beautifully. I couldn’t help but feel deeply for both of them. Their banter was fantastic, but the emotional depth was what really made the story stand out.
This is the final book in the series, and I did find myself a little lost when it came to some of the other couples’ storylines, which just means I’ll have to go back and read the earlier books!
The last few chapters were incredibly emotional and beautifully written. When two people carry years of love, hurt, and unresolved feelings, there are bound to be scars.
And when those walls finally fall, the light that comes through creates something truly beautiful.
That’s what makes this story so special: watching these characters fight through the past and finally find the joy they deserve.
First off I have absolutely loved reading this debut series by Kelly O'Reilly and it saddens me that this is the fourth and final book for these characters I have fallen in love with! I would love to be part of that friend circle because you just fall in love with these characters that Kelly had introduced you to as she puts you through the wringer of emotions in each book and this last one, wow! She definitely saved the best for laugh because I was on a massive roller coaster of emotions and once again she had me crying for characters on a page who are not real human beings but it sure feels like they were! I'm very excited to see the next series she will be introducing us to! Now...for this book review....
In her previous three books, this author gives you a slight glimpse into Juliette and Murphy's lives but not enough to know what exactly is going on between the two. All four books intertwine their stories which I love because although you think you know what's going on, each book gives a tiny more backstory and narrative to situations going on that you think you knew everything. The author, Kelly is like nope, here's a sprinkle bit more that you didn't know was going on behind the scenes during that moment so now you know it all. Once again I will say, phenomenal writing for that!
Juliette and Murphy have a complicated relationship that goes back to their childhood. You realize these two are meant to be together because of their history yet it's not that easy especially with past trauma and hurt that was done and dealt with or not quite dealt with Juliette realizes with the help of her therapist. All the reader wants is for them to have their happy ending but it's not that easy. You think you have a favorite couple from previous books yet fall more in love with these two watching/reading the struggles they go through! The author, Kelly is also known for massive tear jerker moments in the last 10% of the book because how can it be a great book if you're not ugly crying for the characters and what is going on in their lives!
I HIGHLY recommend this book and the whole series to you if you love a great friends to lovers story, great friendships all around and emotional tears in a book because it gives it all! Then there is the spice! Hot hot hot!!
Thank you so much Kelly for another great read and thank you once again having me on your ARC Team!
“If you trusted me with your heart, it would be one of my highest honors, and I promise to always keep it safe.”
4.5/5⭐️ 4/5🌶️
A Little Bit Undone is the final book in Savannah Springs. Murphy and Juliette, once childhood best friends, find themselves at the same party after 10 years of not talking. Despite past mistakes, they fight for a future with one another in it.
Jules and Murph have been on the sidelines of the Savannah Springs cast for a while now, and it has been a joy to finally get their story. Raw, emotional, and sometimes traumatic, the road together becomes very bumpy. I appreciate that the author does not minimize the path to healing, and that Jules prioritizes extensive therapy to move forward.
I have always appreciated the found family vibe of Savannah Springs, and this book is no exception. At times, healing means reconciling with your biological family - and often, it means holding tight to the people that chose you.
One of the coolest things about the narrative is the timeline. A Little Bit Undone starts before book 1 in the series and ends shortly after book 3. In this way, we get tidbits of all of our favorite love stories wrapped into one. It felt like the perfect send off.
*Note: Be sure to check the trigger warnings on this book before reading. Something not mentioned is that there is a scene where two adults have a flashback to their own youth, in which open door spice scenes are described between two teenagers. I had to skip past - while the events are quite important to the story, I wish that they were not described explicitly.
I want to start off by saying I was an ARC reader for this book. But this is my honest review. This is book 4 in the series and I have not read the first three books. I really did enjoy this book- but I do think it would be better if you have read the first three. I didn’t feel lost on their story at all- but I did feel like I was missing pieces of their friend’s stories and it would have been fun to have all that background info. That said- the author did a great job keeping the story going so you didn’t feel like you were lost.
This book follows Juliette and Murphy who were childhood best friends. They had a falling out and have not been in touch for like a decade. They meet again at a sex club party of all places. I thought that was fun and an entertaining re-meet cute. I really enjoyed them getting to know each other again and thought they had some fun and cute banter. I also loved how mush Murphy loved and cared for her and just wanted her back in his life.
What I didn’t love - I wish Juliette would have been a little less closed off to Murphy. It felt like she was constantly pulling away and not really giving him a full chance.
(Spoiler) I also didn’t care for the getting with other people during a breakup.
But overall a really great book. It was my first read by the author and I want to go back and read the other books in the series!
Oh and the spice- there’s a lot of it! But I didn’t think it took away from the story. The author had a good mix of on page spice as well as implied spicy times that you didn’t have to read about.
💭: How the heck is this the end of Savannah Springs?? What an amazing ride!!
I knew this book was going to wreck me in the best way because over the last three books we got to meet Murphy and Juliette — but only in crumbs. Very, very, very vague crumbs 😂 I should’ve known Kelly O’Reilly was about to pull every possible emotion out of me.
Murphy and Jules have history. They’ve been tied to each other since they were 7 and 9, and when I say they’ve always had it bad for each other… that’s a colossal understatement. The universe really tried its hardest to keep them apart, but all of their best memories — and some of their worst — belong to each other. And honestly, getting to see them through every phase of life might be one of my favorite parts of this story.
After a decade-long fallout, one night at a club (wiggles eyebrows) opens doors they both thought were permanently closed.
Jules is more than a vibe — she’s EVERYTHING. Fierce, independent, successful, and proof that you can rise above the shittiest hand life deals you.
Murphy is steady, kind, and quietly understated… until he absolutely lays it all on the table in this book. And LORD have mercy — the charm, the charisma, the big D energy.
Kelly O knocked this one out of the park. The way I was laughing one minute and crying the next was unmatched. And that ending?? IT DID ME IN.
If you love meddling friend groups, small-town romance, larger-than-life characters, and a love story that was always meant to be — add this to your TBR immediately.
I didn’t read the previous books in the series, but I absolutely loved this book & you didn’t feel like you were missing out on anything. The story really puts you through all the emotions. Plus it recognizes & showcases so much trauma in this book that you feel everything. Mostly Juliet has had a rough start in life & in her late 20s she’s still fighting to have a happy normal life & get past all the pain & trauma . It was touching & real.
Murphy has watched all his friends pair off & find their missing piece. It breaks my heart cause he is full of love & wants a family & to feel needed & loved. It all started when he went to an exclusive club, he runs in Juliette, who mistakenly lets her guard down & forgets that she hates him for the last 10yrs. He connects w/her instantly & thinks she is def the one. Will he be able to get her to open her heart again? Juliette has given up on love & dating. She concentrates on her amazing career that she is crushing. Sparks fly like crazy w/ Murphy like there was never a fight, but she keeps her wall up. She can’t even fully let her friends in all the way sadly. My heart breaks for her as well. Juliette must decide if she will be able to let Murphy in & forgive or walk away for good! This story was so real & touching 🌸🌺🍓❤️🔥

A Little Bit Undone completely hooked me from the start because we did not have to sit through a painfully slow burn. The chemistry between JuJu and Murphy is immediate and intense, and honestly… am I obsessed with Murphy? Maybe. Mind your business. Their banter is sharp, the tension is constant, and the brotherly teasing between Murphy and Bennett felt incredibly real. Those little moments made the characters feel like actual people instead of romance tropes. I also loved JuJu’s energy throughout the story. She knows exactly what she wants and she goes for it, which made her such a refreshing main character. And Murphy… the man contains multitudes. “The duality of this man” really sums it up.
What makes the story stick with you, though, is how human it all feels. JuJu and Murphy are flawed, they make mistakes, and they sometimes avoid the hard conversations, which makes their relationship feel honest and relatable. The book handles healing in a really thoughtful way too, showing that growth is messy, uncomfortable, and not always linear. I also loved how the series weaves their story through the earlier books, slowly revealing more pieces of their history until everything finally comes together here. By the end, it feels like the perfect emotional payoff. If you like found family, childhood friends who drift apart and find their way back, and characters who actually do the hard work to heal, this one is absolutely worth reading. Plus, ALL THE SPICE!
The fourth and final book in the A Little Bit series, and my first time reading Kelly. To say I'm now a fan would be a massive understatement.
I am, however, a little disappointed in myself for starting with the final book instead of the beginning... something I will absolutely be remedying very soon because if the rest of the series is anything like this one, I already know I'm going to love it.
This book had everything I adore in a story: deep emotions, past trauma, massive emotional growth, second chances, found family, and some truly top-tier banter.
Juliette is the kind of FMC that always pulls me in. She's independent, hardworking, and an absolute badass who doesn't need anyone. But underneath all that strength is someone who secretly longs for the kind of love and family that doesn't walk away when life gets hard or messy (even if she doesn't believe it).
There was no one better for that job than Murphy and boy did he deliver.
Seeing them both confront their past trauma, heal the parts of themselves that had been hurting for so long, and realize that love was still possible for them was incredibly special to watch unfold. I loved every moment of their journey. I'm so happy these two found their healed hearts and their happily ever after.
"He was the wildfire that reshaped my existence, and although we carried the weight of every struggle, when | looked at him, l knew we had made it through to the other side."
Some series wrap up nicely. Some leave you emotional. And then there are the ones that feel like saying goodbye to family.
A Little Bit Undone was easily my favorite of the series and such a beautiful finale. Kelly truly saved her best for last. What impressed me most about this book, and really this entire debut series, is how seamlessly she weaves the stories together. The first three books echo through this one in such thoughtful ways, revisiting moments and perspectives while still allowing Murphy and Juliette’s story to feel completely its own.
🩷 Second chance 🩷 Enemies to lovers 🩷 Childhood friends 🩷 Found family 🩷 Emotional healing 🩷 Reformed playgirl 🩷 Small town romance
Murphy and Juliette’s story carries so much weight. Both of them are guarded and shaped by past hurt, which makes watching them slowly find their way back to each other incredibly raw and real. The friendships, the community, the way these stories intertwine — it’s everything I love about small town romance.
Kelly writes emotion in a way that pulls you straight into the story. You’re not just reading about these characters, you feel like you’re right there beside them through the tension, the heartbreak, the healing and the hope.
I laughed. I cried. I kicked my feet. And I closed the book feeling so grateful for the time spent in Savannah Springs.
If you love emotional romances filled with heart, healing and found family, this series absolutely deserves a place on your
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this ARC all opinions are my own.
I can’t believe the journey in Savannah Springs has come to an end! I’ve been so fortunate enough to be part of Kelly’s ARC team from the beginning, and I have loved every book so much! It’s been so wonderful to see her grow as a writer and storyteller, and her stories are so full of romance, found family, and group chat hijinks that I can’t get enough of.
Murphy and Juliette’s story has been interwoven into each book since the beginning, and it was so wonderful to finally see their history, their highs and lows, and their beautiful love story. What I’ve always appreciated so much about Kelly’s characters is how real and raw they are. She doesn’t shy away from difficult topics and tragic backstories, and Jules might have had the most difficult childhood of them all.
I absolutely love friends to lovers, especially childhood friends to lovers, so this story hit me right in my feels! Murphy and Jules met so young and grew so close, went through a rough patch for a decade, and then came together when they had both grown and changed. I loved how protective Murphy was of Jules and how everyone could see how much they loved each other from the beginning.
If you haven’t taken a trip to Savannah Springs yet, I highly recommend starting the series!
Loved this one! I was notttt expecting that beginning but I’m not mad at it lol.
I championed Murphy from the beginning and thought Juliette was being too hard, until I learned why. Then I wanted to punch his head right off his broad, athletic shoulders. Such a typical, idiot guy move. But it didn’t stop me from feeling bad at the fact that the ‘now’ them were doing the dance they were stuck in, even if it was all his fault.
While we’re punching heads off shoulders, Annie’s next. Despite her not being completely wrong, MIND YA BUSINESSSSS, GIRL. She annoys me. No one loves a thirsty girl.
I was NOT expecting the final mom thing but man do I think I needed it as much as Juliette did. It brought actual tears to my eyes. They didn’t fall, but they were there and that’s a big deal.
WHAT A GROUP OF FRIENDS. This was my introduction to the gang but now I need to know everyone’s stories because what a freaking great group of characters. Such love, such devotion for one another. As someone who never had that, it’s so beautiful to read and imagine.
The ending was perfection. All of the details in the final surprise, perfect perfect perfect. A dream come true and it wasn’t even my dream 🤣
It almost makes me sad that I started at the end of the series but I will 100000% be going back to read all the other books because this was amazing.
This is the fourth and final book in the “A Little Bit” series. This book had me going on an emotional roller coaster that I just could not seem to make myself get off of, even when there were really tough moments.
Juliette had understandably been through so much her whole life, but my heart went out to Murphy who did everything in his power to make the past up to her and prove himself. I was rooting for him from the start.
This friendship dynamic is one which you wish you could belong to, where they’re there to joke with you or lift you up when they need to. Be it gentle advice or a stern talking to.
I felt like the character growth both of them had shown towards the end was such a perfect path forward and that they would definitely be able to scale any problem together.
I had a few teary moments towards the end with her mother, but I feel that situation was handled with great care and honesty.
This book, and series, is perfect for romance readers who want to feel real emotion and get involved emotionally, like you were part of the group!
Thank you Kelly O’Reilly for this ARC
What to expect: 🩷Second Chances 🌺Enemies to Lovers 🩷Reformed Playgirl 🌺Insta-Love 🩷High Emotion 🌺Found Family 🩷Small Town 🌺Dual POV
Murphy was an a-z. And there’s going to be a spoiler (sorry). When everything went down, and he decided to push Juliette away and date the OW, I raged. Then, when her ‘friends’, including one whom she previously dropped everything for, dragged her and validated his BS, I was just about done. She suffered so much trauma in her life, she even said she was getting therapy, but because she wasn’t on his timeline, it wasn’t good enough… And to have her friends turn on her like that? Who needs enemies….
I was actually really enjoying it with the development of their ‘relationship’… I thought they were sweet, and I was rooting for the HEA. Until he pulled that move. While she’s working to better herself, he decides to date the woman who has been after him, and messing with her for years… I mean, he shows more consideration for a conniving B’s feelings than the woman he supposedly loves.
This is only a small portion of the book (which is hugely emotional), but it absolutely changed how I viewed the story. Which is so devastating for me, because I absolutely adored the story up to that point….
Ahhh how I love Murphy and Juliette! I genuinely don’t even know where to start because my heart is still so full.
I’m so sad this is the end of the Savannah Springs series, but Kelly absolutely gave it the send-off it deserved. This book felt emotional, meaningful, and like the perfect goodbye to a town and characters we’ve all fallen for.
Murphy is the golden retriever hero of our dreams — loyal, patient, and completely gone for his girl. But Juliette has walls built sky-high, and for good reason. Murphy was a huge reason those walls went up all those years ago… but the hurt from her mom runs just as deep. That layered history made their second chance feel so real and so earned.
The banter was top tier, the chemistry was undeniable, and the emotional depth completely got me. Watching Murphy prove he’s grown while Juliette slowly considers risking her heart again had me fully invested. And I may or may not have cried at one point — but who’s to say? 😏
I loved this so much. Bittersweet goodbyes are hard, but this was the perfect way to close out Savannah Springs. Thank you so much for the ARC, Kelly! 🩷
✨📖 BOOK REVIEW: A Little Bit Undone by Kelly O’Reilly 📖✨
Wow. Just WOW. This book had me completely hooked from the first chapter.
Juliette is such a strong, intelligent, and resilient FMC. Her past is heartbreaking — and the way the story slowly unravels what happened had me on edge the entire time. Every chapter reveals just enough to keep you guessing.
And the MMC?? Her childhood best friend. The one she’s hated for TEN YEARS. The one connected to her trauma.
The tension between them is immediate and absolutely electric. You can feel the history, the pain, the unresolved emotions in every interaction. Their connection is messy, complicated, and so incredibly real.
Watching Juliette grow throughout this story was everything. Her character development felt powerful and authentic, and the emotional depth of this book really stayed with me.
This was one of those reads where you say “just one more chapter” and suddenly it’s 2AM.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars without hesitation.
If you love: 💔 Second chance vibes 🔥 Emotional tension 👀 Childhood best friends to something more 🖤 Trauma + healing arcs
This series has kept be in a stranglehold from the very beginning and I'm not ready to see it end!
Book 4, and final of the series, brings Murphy and Juliette together in an emotional roller coaster that had me hooked from the beginning. I am a sucker for a second chance romance and this one delivered in all the best ways. Kelly has always been great at writing relatable characters that I can find myself getting emotionally invested in.
Murphy and Juliette are flawed and incredibly relatable. Their chemistry is undeniable but their second chance comes with a lot of past hurt and emotional baggage to navigate. Murphy is all in, falling first and falling hard, but he knows that he's going to need a lot of patience to chip away at the walls she's put up over the years. Juliette needs time to come around, time to learn that she can trust him again, and a therapist who helps her along the way. A lot of tension filled the pages and I couldn't get enough.
If you love a good childhood friends to lovers, second chance, small town romance.... this one's for you. And if you haven't read the series, I highly recommend it!
My God, this book is so good and incredibly emotional. It has second chance, it has always been you, friends to enemies to lovers, found family, and so much more.
This is Jules and Murphy’s story, and while we’ve seen glimpses of them in the previous books in the series, this book truly goes in-depth into their journey.
Murphy is a complete lover boy and a finished man for Jules. He loved her wholeheartedly and never shied away from showing it. Jules’ character was so beautifully written—her struggles and insecurities were handled with so much care and depth.
Jules honestly annoyed me like mad in this book. I kept thinking, even God forgives easily. This man proved himself countless times. That said, I completely understand her fear and pain, and I won’t belittle what she went through.
The found family aspect of this book was chef’s kiss.
What a way to end a series—my God. This book is a 10/10, minus nothing.
This is a 5-star read, and I highly recommend it.
Thank you, Kelly, and Happily Booked PR for this ARC
A Little Bit Undone by Kelly O'Reilly completely stole my heart.
This second chance romance is packed with emotion, history, and undeniable chemistry. Murphy longing for his forever while quietly envying everyone around him felt so real. When he reconnects with Juliette, you can feel just how much she has always meant to him. His determination to fight for her made me root for him the entire time.
Juliette’s strength really stood out to me. She built a life she loves, even with the scars Murphy left behind. Watching her wrestle with old feelings while trying to protect her heart added so much depth to their story.
Their journey is messy, heartfelt, and beautifully written. The healing feels earned, the tension is intense, and the love story is worth every emotional moment. If you love angsty, emotional second chance romance with a satisfying happily ever after, this one is a must read.
5 stars is not enough for this book! It exceeded all my expectations - Kelly O'Reilly knocked it out of the park. As the last book in the series, it truly was the perfect ending. While reading the previous 3 books in the Savannah Springs series, I watched Jules and Murphy's story unfold in the background, so I was really excited to finally read their story. Kelly did not disappoint! She saved the best for last. I absolutely loved Jules and Murphy, I think their story was beautiful and developed over so many years of friendship. Of course, it came with a lot of heartbreak and mistakes but that's what made their love so unique and special. They worked really hard to be the best version of themselves for each other and their HEA was so well deserved! This book made me laugh and ugly cry (in the best way!) and I wish I could read it again and again for the first time. I loved this entire series, and this was my favourite book out of the four. I can not recommend this enough!
A Little Bit Undone by Kelly O'Reilly A Little Bit Series, Book 3 and the Conclusion 464 Pages
A Little Bit Undone by Kelly O’Reilly was such an enjoyable read. The story had a great balance of emotion, tension, and romance that kept me turning the pages. I really loved the chemistry between the characters and how their journey unfolded throughout the book. Even though some scenes were hard, they were necessary for their relationship to progress in the right direction..
Kelly does a wonderful job creating moments that make you feel invested in the characters and their growth. There were plenty of heartfelt scenes mixed with just the right amount of drama and passion (plus a few tears along the way).
Overall, this was a compelling and satisfying read that I would definitely recommend to romance readers looking for an emotional story with strong character connections. Well done Kelly!
This book was a beautifully written love story. It pulled on my heartstrings and held a place in my heart long after I was done reading. It will take you through every emotion and then some. Juliette and Murphy are perfection. The connection between them is so genuine and undeniable. Their journeys, individually and together, were emotional and raw and messy. But watching them grow and things develop between them was endearing but also heartbreaking. Juliette is a strong, independent woman who embraces herself fully. Except she refuses to entertain the idea of a relationship. Murphy was the best friend who after 10 years had to admit what he felt wasn’t friendship. One hot night and things get complicated. What I really appreciated is that the characters feel real. They are flawed. They have problems. They make mistakes. They’re human. And what comes from their reconnection was genuine. There’s healing through the pain. It’s messy and chaotic and hard - but it’s there.
I am soo sad that this is the last book in the Little Bit series. I have absolutely loved reading this series and will definitely miss Savannah Springs. With that being said, Jules and Murphy’s story has been my most anticipated one. We have been reading about their relationship since the very first book.
I thought it was hilarious how Jules and Murphy met again at a sex club party after not talking to each other in ten years. I enjoyed reading all about their history and it totally made sense why Jules was the way that she was about relationships.
There was the perfect amount of spice and also implied spice. I laughed and I cried and I never wanted this book to end!!
This was the perfect ending to the series and I cannot wait to read more books written by Kelly!
Thank you Kelly O’Reilly and Happily Booked PR for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.
This was such a well written story. Juliette and Murphy were absolutely perfect is the sense that their chemistry was off the charts. Two people who were best friends until something happened that changed them both and took them on two very separate paths. Juliette because a very successful woman with great friends and amazing job, but had shut off the ability to let anyone close to her as far as men. Her mother was not a good example and Juliette became a playgirl, or a one and done. Murphy sowed lots of seeds too as his mother liked to say. Juliette and Murphy connected at an adult party and he fell head over heels again for her. This story shows how Juliette is able to overcome her fears and get her very own happily ever after. What a beautiful story!
