Seducing the Scientist follows the most elite warriors in all the galaxies, the Sages, a group of humans who were given a specialized serum that unknowingly had alien DNA in it essentially turning them into the super soldiers. The lab that administered this serum tried to cover up and hide this knowledge until one day clumsy lab researcher and heir Amabel “Mabel” Sutton has a change of heart. Mabel devises a plan to blow the lid on the cover up by sneaking onto the Sages’ ship and leaving an anonymous note with some answers for them. But when Mabel is caught by their steamy leader, Captain Rainer, Mabel gets more than she bargained for.

I love that author Hadley Grey decided to branch out and try her hand at a dark sci-fi romance because she absolutely crushed it! Seducing the Scientist is packed with all the alien action you expect and want from a sci-fi topped with the fiery and sizzling seduction you crave from a spicy romance. Captain Rainer has all the characteristics of a true Alpha boasting confidence, assertiveness, and true leadership. He also has a hunger for brains and beauty scientist Mabel that kept me hooked on the story while hanging on for dear life. On top of the sultry MC chemistry there was also the adorable and charming found family aspect of Rainer’s crew which were like a crazy group or brothers and sisters each elevating the story with their individuality. I even enjoyed the villain creatures which weren’t so mindless after all. I look forward to seeing where Hadley takes this story next.

Such a fun read—I loved both of our MCs. This has hilarious found-family vibes, and while it does include darker themes and spice, it’s also a genuinely sweet romance. I loved watching the FMC slowly start to believe she was worthy of love, and I loved seeing the MMC fight for her.

This book came so close to being a five-star read for me; I just wanted a little more—more time with the characters together, more of the journey. That’s purely personal preference, though. If you’re okay with darker romance, I’d definitely recommend giving this a go. Even if sci-fi isn’t usually your thing, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. This was a good read, and I’m looking forward to the next book.

This was a great read. If was has a great plot, and strong MCs..The black hole and the jump back in time for 500yrs which is equivalent to 5 was wild. How Science controlled both aspects of the past and the future and how it altered humanity...I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
